Sometime in my 30s though that all changed.As I got older,I came to appreciate the high quality of the medium,in regards to being able to have such complex stories work with such high quality artwork. So I started collecting comics and became a frequent customer to A-1 Comics in Roseville located on Sunrise Avenue. The top two things I love about this location are as follows. -Their employees really give excellent customer service.They are very helpful in assisting the customers in finding whatever they are looking for. A-1 has two other locations in the Sacramento area and multiple times I've been in Roseville and they were sold out of what I was looking for and they took it upon themselves to call their other locations to check if they had what I wanted-that's excellent customer service. -Second thing that truly stands out for me about A-1 is they aren't cheap on inventory-every week when new releases come out,they always have plenty of copies so that as many customers as possible have a good opportunity to get the issues they want-not all comic shops do this-others keep such limited inventory that they sell out too fast-A-1 rarely lets that happen. This Roseville location pretty much has its own parking lot,so there's always has plenty of parking available for its customers. In closing, I really do recommend this shop for all your comic needs-it's a pretty awesome place filled with pretty awesome employees and I always look forward to heading back out there.

The store has two floors packed with books, so there's always another shelf to check out. It's also in a really cute part of downtown Auburn, which makes it an easy stop if you're spending the day there. "I perceived this as you playing with my books for entertainment or social media purposes, as I see far too often in my shop." so you're just assuming i wouldnt buy anything??? like you said i was bouncing around excited. i hadn't even seen all there was to see! you assumed i wasn't going to buy anything based off the fact that i wasn't looking at everything??? " Unfortunately, when I see someone taking selfies with books in my shop, the vast majority of the time they do not buy anything, now or ever." it wasn't a selfie... i was taking a picture with the back because i went to UNR and graduated there. when i went to half price books and they had a book from traner middle school no one came up to me to pressure me into purchasing something. "Some books only get a little more oil from the fingers, or slightly more thumbed pages. Others get ruined as they get dropped or crammed carelessly onto the shelf" notice how when you were disrespectful i didn't cram it back on the shelf i put it nicely back on the shelf but you don't want to include that in your response. unfortunately you don't understand the risks with running a bookstore because if you did you'd realized that books get handled and touched. if you're so worried put it behind a glass case so they don't get grabbed... you can't police every person who touches your books. i DID have a desire to purchase from your used bookstore however your attitude turned me away along with multiple other customers who wrote a review just like mine. My family and I were downtown last night for dinner and decided to pop into Big Brother Comics…read more Big Brother Comics is located on 20th and I Street, right around the corner from Tank House BBQ - parking can be questionable since it is Midtown though. I am not a comic book person, but I do like visiting and walking around like I know what I'm looking at. My husband is a nerd for comics so we popped in to see what new stuff they had. I liked seeing all of the cool interesting games, books and figurines. They offer so much at this store and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! My husband bought the Ultimate Spiderman comic and my daughter picked out a Teen Titans Go book - I think it came out to a little over $30 for both so not too bad. Pricing was fairly decent - you get what you pay for and depending on the rarity! They even have a large room with tons of tables and chairs next door for gaming with friends. Overall, Big Brother Comics is a pretty cool store! I'm sure we'll be back soon!

Everyplace I walked, there was a blend of past and present. PlayStation 4 & 5 games, alongside rows of nostalgia that ranged in clothes, toys, accessories, movies, you name it. This store embodies 90s pop culture, and not the hip hop side, but more the alternative (which is what I felt more represented me). I found a dvd I've been looking for months, in just a matter of minutes. The movies are all alphabetized, yo! It's like a thrift store, but so much more. I really liked that the Folsom location had a way bigger selection of Funko Pops than the Arden location. There is so much stuff to look through in general at this location, since it's roomier. I specifically scoured the shelves for some Funko Pops to take home, and came across the cutest Jurassic World one (shown below) that I just needed to buy. I also discovered a beautiful Elvis Funko, but that one I decided to hold off on for now. My husband bought a Mewtwo Funko as well (not shown). Most of the Funkos were in really good condition. There was a Stranger Things Funko that I really wanted but alas the previous owner had damaged the box. From a collector's standpoint, the prices are fair. Of course this location had other collectibles and items for sale, such as clothes, records, and whatnot. I've got plenty of records at home and only want to purchase very specific records these days, so I didn't really bother to look in their record aisles. The staff were friendly and chill. I will definitely return to check for more Funko Pops in the near future!

There is a great selection of back issues, new books, and key issues for all types of comic readers and collectors. I could tell this shop was the place to be after discussing a desire to submit a book to CGC with the owner. He was quick to inform me of all the different CGC options and the different prices. Rather than convincing me to buy a book and have the store submit it for me, he was honest about the value and ensured that I knew what I'd be getting into. This is clearly a shop where the staff are collectors and readers first, aiming to make sure the customer gets the most value for their purchase.
