The owner is very passionate about music and you can tell it from talking to him. He is friendly, was chatting with all the different customers about what they picked, and even gives good suggestions! I bought a record from a band I had never heard of before (Fox Medicine). They were in the metal section but it was cute and bright pink. I looked them up quickly and listened to a couple songs and told myself I had to get that record. The owner was chatting with me about if I liked them or not and I was honest about literally just discovering them. He gave me one of their posters free of charge! They had just performed at his store and so he had a few left. I didn't realize he was giving it to me until we were leaving, I thought he was just showing me the poster. That absolutely made my day once I realized he was just giving it to me. The variety in this store is amazing with loads of vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and even music equipment! Prices are very fair, and everything is properly labeled. Instead of me having to get my hopes up inspect the record, the front usually says the condition, pressing, if it's colored, etc. I don't have to waste my time inspecting it myself, as the staff has already done the leg work. They even have a bargain bin (wall) with great deals! Down on the floor was a box that had cheap project vinyl too. When I worked at a record store I remember teachers coming in looking for the cheapest ones they could find for a various lessons they had coming up. I'm glad The Audio Nerd has a box for people like them. The store is a little bit cramped with how small it is and with how much product they carry, but it is such a gem and so fun to flip through. You can spend an hour or two easily in there despite it being a small store. Live shows even happen here! They move some of the tables out and put a band in there. Shout out Hayden for always promoting upcoming shows there! And as if this place couldn't get any cooler, they also do punch cards too... Who has ever heard of a record store doing a punch card before? Absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a cool new record store, The Audio Nerd is a great place to check out.

They always have present employees that are so kind and helpful. When you ask for a book not only do they show you where its at the make sure you are getting the exact book you asks for. At the registers they make sure you know about any and all promotions they have going just in case you wanted to jump in on any. Did you know that Barnes & Noble has so many games and puzzles and other fun gadgets? I for one didn't as I walked throughout the store I was blow away by see all this new stuff to me. If you are into coffee stop by Starbucks and read a book and enjoy your drink. Well next time here take a walk around the store and see all they have to offer. I came here to sell a cigarette neon light, 2 beer bar lights, 1 framed Star Wars poster, 2 bar mirror signs & several movies: they offered me $88 cash or $115 store credit. That offer is about 10% of what they will sell them for not to mention I had to wait over 3 hours to get this offer. Another thing I noticed is this location is very picky & somewhat snobbish so beware. I know the business is there to make money but there is a difference between making a fair offer vs low balling. Unlike the Sacramento location on Arden the staff here isn't as helpful. The quality of the items here are good but it comes with a hefty price tag. The store is located in a plaza so you can window shop while you wait for the staff to go through your items once you're done browsing @ The Cave. I am being very nice by giving this place a three star rating. For appearance & selection it gets 5 stars but everything else really brought down the ratings for me. If the staff actually helped me by answering questions I had in regards to what they buy instead of them giving a default response of: just bring it in... I would have given a 4 star rating instead.

It's a large, spacious shop so it was no trouble hosting the large amount of people that they had throughout that day. I was there for half the day and it felt quite warm inside until the end of the event, so bring a portable fan if you overheat easily. Staff were regularly checking up on customers who were browsing their products and very open to assisting if needed. Selling is a quick process if you know what you want and there's not a long que of others waiting to sell. Business is business, make sure you have a price in mind and they may try to work with it.

In the last 3 years my wife and I have spent over $30,000 at Bestbuy, a little over $10,000 being…read morewith magnolia. We had purchased a 75" Samsung 4K 3D tv for $4,299 plus tax and fees. Not even 3 years later the tv started going out. I had informed magnolia of my concern and they said because it's out of warranty there isn't much they can do, besides give me a small percentage off TVs they have in stock. Upon reaching out to Samsung, they charged me $100 and sent an authorized repair company out who informed me that the screen needed to be replaced at the cost of $1,800. The fact that neither Samsung nor magnolia stand behind their over priced junk, and do nothing to take care of a customer whom, not only takes home over 300k in their household, but spends a large percentage of that at Bestbuy, blows me away. I will never again spend a dollar at Magnolia, there is no benefit over shopping at amazon or another retailer at this point as they don't do anything for you once you give them your money.

Augie tries his best to provide that and implemented a new system this year to try and make it a better experience. It seems this individual was not happy because it did not benefit them. If the rules were confusing or not clear, customers are generally encouraged to call and ask questions. Also, when leaving a complaint, what nesscessity is it to state your ethnicity? What does that have to do with rules that are enforced to everyone. Augie is a pleasant and kind person and doesn't discount people because of music genre tastes, education, or race. This negative review is undeserved. You still had the chance to have 5 guaranteed picks. More then most other places. I was in line as well, but just behind the first 10 people. If you wanted more you could go back in and try your luck with everyone else. You were waiting since 8am? Try waiting from 12am if you want to try to make sure you get an album you want. I've done that. Rocket Records, Augie and the whole family are great and I'll always stand behind that. They try their best to provide a welcoming shopping experience.
