    Tough Tommy's large pizza
    Julie W.

It's a classic Italian/family restaurant. It's not necessarily authentic, but food is great for a nice sit down with friends! Ordered a bacon chicken ranch pizza that was amazing with a side of fresh fries. Staff are friendly, wait is about average.

Great little restaurant for great food at a reasonable price! Ordered the Awesome Avelina Pizza and added grilled chicken as well as the regular spaghetti with meatballs and it was delicious! It was like the perfect mix between crispy and doughy! All I would complain about is that it took around 25 minutes after getting the spaghetti until we got the pizza!

So I was excited to check this place as my kids love Italian, but the moment you walk in you realize the ambience is terrible. There's no music and it honestly feels like you are in a slightly elevated cafeteria. The space was also not air conditioned so eating hot food in a hot room wasn't going to be ideal. Ordering was also painful and the 2 staff members made it that way. One was ok the other was not. When I asked if they had ice for my drink the cashier said "no we don't" very upset and walked off in a huff. It didn't seem like the staff wanted to be there. So I would say if staff were friendly, the space was cooler, and music was playing it would have felt better. When we sat down the table was so sticky we moved, and the second was also super sticky. My daughter said "we are in a sticky situation!" It must be the cleaning products. Finally, The food was just ok and definitely felt like frozen food just microwaved. Unfortunately we won't be going back and wouldn't recommend it with all the other fab restaurants in Concord.

Their 'vegetable' pizza after having to remake it
    Cole D.

If I could leave a 0 star I would. We ordered 3 pizzas, one large cheese, one large vegetable, and a personal pepperoni. They managed to mess up 2 of the 3 pizzas. We received a large pepperoni and a large pizza with only onions along with the personal pepperoni. When we went back in to ask about the mess up, they took the pizzas back and simply tossed raw spinach on top and brought out another large pepperoni. They AGAIN had to take it back and remake a cheese pizza. While the lady working the register seemed calm, you could tell she was annoyed by her physical actions. This whole experience resulted in the personal to become cold while we waited for the kitchen to correct their multiple mistakes and we also had no idea what to do with the raw spinach on the pizza so we tossed it and went to a different place to get a proper vegetable pizza. Overall, experience was a massive waste of money and time.

Amazing piece, tip notch. Make sure you get fries with the order and put it on top of the pizza.

Best in Concord, mass. I gave it the 8.6, The crust was amazing and crunchy. I'll try to go there once a week, but sometimes I'm preoccupied. Hope to see you guys there. 8.6 other way!!!!!

3rd time buying pizza here. Every time the pizza has been under-cooked. Stinks as it is close to my house.

TIME TO MOVE ON I GUESS I've been to Woods Hill Table about…read morea dozen times over the years. Breakfast service when new, and many dinners since. The ambiance is polished and cozy like a posh UK country gastropub, but tables are a bit crowded. *** THE GOOD *** Our first dinner at Woods Hill was brilliant. Charming and skilled service.. smoothly timed delivery. I inquired on the steak tartar and was told the owner had a plate every night. SOLD... and it did not disappoint. Fine uniform prep I seldom see, quail egg, NOT drowning in cornichons, served chilled.... impeccable. A wild boar ragu pappardelle for entre was decent, but boar was more broken down (pulled?) than I prefer and so there weren't umami pops of flavor from chunks of boar... this is perhaps a preference difference. We had found a great spot. Woods Hill Table was a gem. *** THE BAD *** Fast forward through time and the last four meals have been a disappointment. For example, I brought a 15yr chef friend for steak tartar and frites and a cab franc... the plated dishes looked lovely but were pretty much room temperature, which makes the texture a challenge rather than a treat. Unknown if this is a heat lamp issue or room temp beef used in prep, either way the dishes were warm. Still better than the mayo puck served by a certain Boston Bovine eatery, but I was a bit embarrassed at having talked up the dish and made the arrangements. Decided it was an off night and would try again in the future: A few months later the tartar still looked lovely (a bit coarse) and WAS nicely chilled, but was tough chewing and imbalanced flavors. Still a lovely restaurant, but time to move on from the tartar I guess. *** THE UGLY *** Recently returned for a rare night out (kids do that) and the place is still packed with a charming but busy atmosphere. A charming, if busy atmosphere. Won't knock attentiveness to the table as a busy night is always tough. THE FOOD - very inconsistent I should have taken a salad as they looked elegant and ethereally fresh and light.. as if floating on the plates. On a cold winter night, I had a craving though, and was surprised that the fries were scraps... very salty... and oddly chewy and without crunch or crispness. Junk ENTREE - Icelandic Cod a la Plancha - a mess. - While the sauce was fantastic... light and sweetly complex, I wish the serving as a smaller/deeper dish with more sauce ... it was a highlight but chilled almost immediately in the unwarmed broad pasta bowl. - The blue roasted potatoes were not my thing, and I wish they instead had been little islands of puree that I would scoop with other bites or sauce. - "Jumbo lump crab" is flat out lie... forget visions of "jumbo lump crab" elegantly arrayed on that lovely sauce. You'll get a sweaty little shredded wad, tucked under the fish. - The fish... that poor Cod... was wildly overcooked and mushy. The seared crust was very thick and difficult to cut through and the mushy fish (overcooked or thawed too fast?) would squirt out from underneath. There were a couple of good bites farthest from the seared crust that faintly whispered of how delicate and flaky the filet should have been. TAKEAWAY: Don't order seafood at Woods Hill. Why so worked up about bad fish in boston (hardly rare)? With a cautious eye, the staff almost immediately asked after my first bite if the food was ok. Much like a sommelier sniffing the cork and imperceptibly wincing, but serving the wine and carefully looking to see if customers would notice that it's off. I replied the food was "OK" and continued to pick at the plate. We don't often get out for dinner these days and I didn't want my disappointment to spoil the experience for others. We had no time for the kitchen to remake it anyhow, and I no longer send food back; I cut my losses and find better spots. I hope things turn around. This could be a great spot again someday.

Today I gave it a try and felt that it was good in some areas and just ok in others. Overall the food tasted pretty healthy despite having pork belly and chorizo. The seasoning was definitely on the lighter side, where the french onion soup was tasting pretty close to an extremely light broth. Tried the cassoulet which I've heard of before but never seen on a menu. It was very hearty but also a but bland. Pulled pork and pork belly seemed to have zero salt. Duck leg confit also very bland. It was cooked well but just bland. The dishes with citrus were quite tasty. Beets and arugala salad very good, good quality goat cheese. Alligator chorizo grilled oysters surprisingly good. Never had alligator chorizo before but it was crispy and not fatty even though it resembled bacon visually. The oysters were small, even more small in comparison to the chorizo but it was a good bite. I would recommend skipping the clam chowder, french onion soup (not really caramelized onions to be honest), and the cassoulet unless you feel empowered to salt your own food. The clientele was definitely in the 60+ range. Nothing wrong with that obviously but tastes change with age and maybe thats why the seasoning was so light. Today there were just two wait staff for the whole place. Seemed understaffed and it took almost thirty minutes for food to come out. Waiting for the check took about fifteen minutes. Staff was nice but definitely overloaded. Today was a holiday though.

We had a reservation for a celebratory dinner, and I commented to ask if the special would still be on for that date. The chef/owner responded immediately that it would. Knowing specials often run out quickly, I called on the morning of the reservation, and a hostess said, yes, the special was still on. So we got there, we ordered, and we asked for the special -- the waitress said she'd confirm, and then came back and just said 'no, it was just for that day,' which was confusing. I explained that the chef and the hostess had confirmed that it was still on the menu and asked if it had run out -- again, understandable -- and she said it 'was just something we made for an influencer.' At that point, I didn't want to press the two 'no' answers, so we finished the dinner and moved on. I reached out privately after the fact as I wanted to see if there was a better way I could have communicated to the restaurant or asked for clarification, and asked if there was a better way to confirm information moving forward, and they never responded. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is equal parts cozy and enchanting -- dim lighting, chic décor, and just enough buzz to feel alive without being overwhelming. The Espresso Martini was pure wizardry: smooth, bold, and guaranteed to keep you wide-eyed through the night. A mixed drink rounded out the trio, each cocktail crafted with flair and a touch of mischief. The food was a playful parade of indulgence: * Tater tots that were crispy little golden spells. * Meatballs that packed a savory punch. * Sliders that were small but mighty, disappearing faster than you can say "Accio burger." * Goat cheese that was creamy, tangy, and downright addictive. * Raviolis that felt like little pockets of happiness. * caramel cheese cake was outstanding The staff? I also had some of a companion's order, this interesting sesame chicken dish with seaweed salad and a half avocado filled with sauce, which was different and I'm not really sure why it was there, much as I like avocado. The chicken tasted great and was the highlight of that dish. The menu is nice and varied, so I'd be curious to try some of their other dishes, like the pizza.
