I purchased a phone last weekend and had to go through a service rep because after 6 years xfinity mobile had my old address on my account still. I was told my address would be updated and my phone sent to the correct address however on the first delivery try it said I wasn't home so I knew it went to the old address. I called customer service and was told it was fixed and would get my phone the next day but, the shipper again said they missed me. I called customer service again and was told the same schtick again however someone called later in the day because of how upset I was. None of that mattered because again today on the third and last delivery attempt I saw that they again were delivering it to the old address. This time when I called customer service they forwarded the call to UPS who confirmed that they never were provided the correct address and because Comcast had restricted my delivery I couldn't change it or get it from a pickup point. I haven't been this angry in a long time and I will be switching all my services to different providers as soon as possible. Comcast's service is the absolute worst and they are losing my xfinity tv, phone and internet service and they couldn't care less. I recommend you stay away from anything xfinity/Comcast at all cost because if you do have any issues they can't seem to correct them. read more

This review is not directed at the Xfinity store in Portsmouth, rather it is based on Xfinity customer service in general. Xfinity, like many other companies have made it almost impossible to get a live person. I needed a simple power supply cord for my main cable box. I called the number listed for their local store and I got routed to a call center in India (I believe). It took forever to get to the root of my problem, which should've been simple. I just wanted to know if I could go to the local Xfinity store to get a power cable. I would've called them for this but as I already stated, all calls seem to be routed to India! Real customer service seems to be a thing of the past these days and Xfinity is no exception. It takes forever to get help and the overseas person you get in touch with, seems to have a scripted answer for everything. Look at their ratings, they speak for themselves. read more

Are you thinking of buying Comcast/XFinity? If you have a choice DON"T!!!!!! They are the worst! Dealing with their tech support is an exercise in futility and frustration! They claim moving from one house to another is very easy to do. NOT!!! We have been on the phone with Comcast at least 15 hours over the last week and a half. First nothing worked, then the internet worked, then they fixed the TV but then the internet stopped working again. They have lost the phone number that my partner a therapist has had for 33 years and her patients depend on that number to get in touch with her. On 4 different occasions they have promised that it would be working soon but guess what? After a week and a half it is still not working!!! The computerized gatekeeper that you get when you call the company is mind boggling! Trying to get to a live person is almost impossible. She also likes to hang up on you after multiple tries of getting an agent. To top it all off, once you get an agent it is someone in the Philippines that says "Thank you for that information" every other utterance! Please! Don't thank me for giving you my name, FIX MY PROBLEM! By the way, have you noticed there is no place to leave a comment on the Comcast website? Good move by their marketing department, I am sure it would just be negative comments. This is a classic example of a company putting computers online to save them time but then it costs the customer 5 times the amount it would take if a live person answered the phone. So, in a nutshell, unlike us who are in a semi-rural area and do not have a choice for internet/TV/phone services, if you are fortunate to live in an area with a choice, DO ANYONE OTHER THAN COMCAST/XFINITY! I'm updating this review based on new information. Comcast called me in response to my phone survey comments. They offered a discount for my age. This is new. They will respond to most phone comments. So, when you call into Comcast opt IN for them to call you back with a survey. Live people listen to those comments and they are in best position to help you. So give your return number and then tell them what you feel. Nice that they are actually listening and making an attempt to be more responsive to criticism! OK, since this review Comcast had a May, 2018 meeting wherein they decided to NOT honor their agreements made at the beginning of contracts. These agreements went like this: 1. Comcast offers you a 2 year agreement with the understanding (directive) that you would call when the price increases and they would set price back to the initial offering price. The May, 2018 meeting put forth a directive that these agreements were not to be honored. How do I know this? When I got a 55 increase I called, Not only did they drop 4 channels but they refused to honor initial price. Their smallest tv channel lineup is 20 channels (broadcast tv and junk) for $80. So internet and cable is 160, Add the required taxes and boxes and it's 200 for a few channels and internet! Further, I was told that Comcast was a luxury and not a necessity so they can bill whatever unregulated amount they wanted to. The service center after hours and overflow is routed to places like the Philippines. Too bad they can't give US citizens a job. read more

I am beyond disturbed at the way they are treating small business during the Covid crisis. Many of our businesses aren't making it and we need to close. Comcast has been nothing but another huge financial burden. Charging us $500 to cancel our contract. We don't have it, we have tried to stay open and just don't have the means, Covid killed our business and now Comcast is unwilling to help us out in any way. I don't know how else to say it but, do everything you can to choose another business that won't hide fees from you when you sign up. They don't care about your struggling business especially during a worldwide pandemic. Comcast lacks effective communication tools, and professional people. July, 2017 - My husband and I return from a week vacation and there is a mysterious modem sitting at our door (and has been sitting there apparently for days even through rain storms). We bring it in and call Comcast. Comcast has no idea why the modem has been delivered. After a long conversation, they recommend that I take a couple hours out of my busy life to box it up and bring it to a UPS drop off site. I explain that I didn't cause this, it seems unfair to now make me spend two hours to fix the situation. Eventually, the man tells me to just give it to my postman. I am confused - why is the mail person going to take it? I eventually bring it to drop off site at Staples in Stratham. A few weeks later - we receive an electronic message saying we have to start using the new modem or else our service will be interrupted by a certain date! What? The modem that we and Comcast knew nothing about? I ask my husband to deal with Comcast as I no longer have the time or patience. He takes a couple hours out of his day to undo our modem, drive it somewhere (maybe Portsmouth?) and pick up a new one. August or September - my bill seems too high. I call Comcast. Comcast tells me if I order a triple bundle and just not use the phone option, my bill will decrease significantly. He adjusts the bill. October 25- Bill doesn't seem lower. I call Comcast. Turns out they have been charging us for two modems and 3 TV boxes. Every call to Comcast involves me speaking to a number of computers instead of people. First actual lady takes off the prior charges for the already returned modem. Then I ask if we can discuss the TVs. There are too many boxes on the bill. I pull out an old box that we don't use. I give lady serial number of box, lady tells me if I return that box they will take off one of the 5.99 monthly rental charges on my bill. She adds that she can't help me because the item hasn't been returned yet but is able to transfer me to someone that can. Her transfer attempt brings me back to the BEGINNING of talking to the computers. I go through the whole thing again!! Finally I get to someone who clarifies the situation and tells me yes, please bring that TV box in and Comcast will stop charging me the rental fee. Saturday October 27th - beautiful fall day. A day that no one would choose to wait in a line inside a tiny building for an hour. But I do. After an hour, I finally get to the front of the line. I explain that I am just there to return this TV box so they can stop the extra 5.99 per month rental fee. She explains that the box I am holding is a 9.99 box. I explain that that is okay also, they can reduce it by 5.99 or 9.99 - doesn't matter to me as long as the bill goes down. She looks at her computer and then adds "Oh wait - no - this is your primary box. We can't take this one back...". I explain that I had provided the serial number to the lady over the phone and the lady said I could take this box back. This woman proceeds to tell me that her computer says that I spoke to Comcast only about modems not this box. Are you kidding me? Now, she is questioning my integrity and is implying that I am not being honest about this TV box! Seriously? I told her we spoke about both - the modems and the TV boxes. She didn't act like she believed me as she then told me that I get this box (the one she just told me was 9.99) for free! And I can't return something that I have for free! I said "Can't you just keep this box - since it's more expensive than the other boxes anyways - and take the 5.99 off my monthly bill?" No. she then repeats herself that this box is free (as if I am attempting to rip Comcast off). I reminded her that she told me the box was 9.99 so I am actually returning a more expensive box than the others at my house. She had shut herself off at that point and would hear nothing of it. I have had it. I wish I could switch companies - but there are very few high speed options in this area. read more

I walked in the service center to turn in my equipment. There were 3 individuals working behind the counter; one was looking at a computer screen and never looked up; one was with a customer; the one who assisted me just looked up and said do you need help? There was no greeting or eye contact. When I told her my husband called to inform them to stop service, the individual snapped 'phone number.' I gave her the number and she called out my husband's name and our address. When I verified, she said you have two pieces of equipment; I acknowledged and said I also have all the cables; do you want them up on the counter? Her response, 'yup.' Then she said the date is supposed to be 30 September; today is the 28th; do you want everything shut off today? When I told her I wasn't sure what she was asking, the rep said do you want internet and tv off today. My response was I couldn't return on Sunday as Comcast is not open and I have no time tomorrow; so, yes, everything off today. She took the equipment and cabling and handed me a receipt. When I asked if there was anything I need to sign, she snapped 'your turning in, not receiving, so why would you sign. I looked over the receipt to verify it was for all the equipment and cables and noted a place for signature. I asked the rep if she would sign for receipt of the equipment. She again snapped, it says right on there, but whatever! Not only was this representative extremely rude during her interaction with me, the entire time she was assisting me she was singing and rocking to the music on the radio. Basically what I am trying to convey in this review is that this was the very worst customer service I have experienced in years!! Were this my employee, she would be reprimanded or terminated for treating customers like this. Comcast would never be my choice for service again. read more

The agent who helped us suddenly became unavailable, providing a long list of reasons why she could not respond. ComCast is THE single most UNRELIABLE internet service I have EVER had in my ENTIRE life. It randomly goes out, for HOURS at a time, with no warning. When I call support to try and resolve the problem, first I get the run-around from a "voice recognition" system that doesn't recognize the word "internet" or "down" or "outage" or "no". Then, if I'm lucky (and don't have to start the call all over again from scratch), I get someone on the line, only to find that their English is so bad they don't understand what I'm saying. Then, again if I'm lucky, I get "escalated" to another person and have to repeat EVERYTHING I just spent an hour telling the other person. Including my name, phone number, address, and last four of social. Then I end up getting told that a tech will come out and look at it ... A #%^@!$ WEEK FROM NOW!!!!!!!!!! When I lived on Hampton Beach, I had FiOS. I had a problem with it ONCE. I got through to a support tech in less than five minutes. They spoke English. Within ten minutes they figured out that my problem was due to a hardware failure in their fiber-to-ethernet bridge. A tech was out THE NEXT MORNING to replace it. ComCast is THE SINGLE MOST UNRELIABLE internet service I have EVER had in my ENTIRE life. Dialing into CompuServe with a 300 baud modem in 1983 was more reliable than ComCast. read more

My husband and I bought a house and got rid of comcast. $160+ for internet and cable - all set. I went into the customer service center and I definitely did not get quality customer service. I waited for over 10 minutes with no recognition as the two women behind the desk were too busy with other customers. Once I was finally acknowledged the associate appeared annoyed with me when i handed her extra cables one of the comcast techs left at one of our previous apartments. She didn't make eye contact with me and was done paying attention to me as soon as she handed over the receipt. The experience I had dealing with Comcast was horrendous. They are heavy on the "I'm so sorry's" but extremely light on actual Customer Service. After my issue was 'escalated ', I was actually Lied to. Yes, this really happened. I was told a tech would show up between 2 and 4 to install a new modem, but no one showed up. I called to find out what happened, and there was no record of any service call or tech being sent out. The guy actually lied to me to just shut me up, I guess. I wasn't rude, but simply told them I was unhappy, and asked what were they going to do to make this right. Turns out, not a whole lot. I can't rearrange my days to wait for another "tech" who may or may not show up. This company is populated with people who don't know what they're doing. I tried returning my modem twice but was told that i had to keep it cause my package includes a phone. She told me to buy a cheaper one online but there is only one that they make with the phone and its $200 new. I bought a used one and tried again but of course they owned it so i couldnt register it so i hooked up my original one that i rent and had to call comcast cause it wasnt working and the guy said that they were wrong and i couldve used the tp link one without the phone jack in the first place. I am not sure where I would even begin. I can cut and paste to the Rep for Newmarket Patricia and her lack of everything and I will at some point. Now 7 hours to get my internet and cable working. I don't know if I have the energy to tell how much grief I have gone through. Lack of follow through from the rep Patricia for this area. Lack of questions so my cable was not set up right...Again not even sure where to begin. Just got told I could not get a second bedroom connection until I paid an old invoice from my old address. I told them I overpaid. They said once I pay $26.I would have cable. I got transferred to Billing only to get cut off so I called. The automated system said I owed 106.99 and had to pay so I did. Even though I know I overpaid. Got a text stating this. Got a call back from Comcast. They said I needed proof I paid Then said 30 minutes and all will be well with my connection. 2 hours later and a lot more paid and nothing. IF VERIZON is around I will find them. Have been a customer of Comcast since they bought out AT&T Broadband. Dealing with this company fills me with a rage that burns white hot. They install equipment that fails several times a year and overbill us almost every month. I realize you get more bees with honey and always try to be pleasant and patient when dealing with the reps at the call center, however their customer service is atrocious by design. They make feeble attempts at outsmarting you and putting you off. NO EFFORT IS MADE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM! They play dumb or flat out refuse to acknowledge direct questions. its clear they are following a playbook designed to avoid the situation. The FCC needs to investigate this company. Comcast in Exeter, NH and customer service on the phone have ruined my ability to have internet and Cable since 2011 and damaged my credit in the process. They allowed my now ex husband to make unauthorized changes to my account and refused to allow me to stop the service. Once they stoped the service they now say that I owe this money and, I had the worst experince with any single company in my life. I reported them to the BBB, what a joke! They were trying to retain me as a customer and still refuse to forgive the "debt". They cut the "bill" in half. They pretend to have no record of my calls begging them to stop the service when my ex lost his job. If you can go to any other company, do so. This has been a head ache. They don't care about when you report their illeagal behavior to the BBB.
