This is not about Xfinity store in West Orange. This is about Xfinity services period!…read more Avoid Xfinity if you actually expect service. After years as a loyal customer (cable, home security, mobile), this was the worst experience I've had with any company. I scheduled a simple camera replacement and upgrade--was quoted a price, confirmed everything--and when the technician showed up, there was no work order. Three technician visits later, the same issues: wrong orders, missing equipment, and zero progress. The technicians were great, but completely held back by Xfinity's broken system. Customer service is even worse--AI-driven, outsourced, and completely ineffective. No one understands the issue, and you'll waste hours repeating yourself with no resolution. No accountability, no urgency--just frustration. Xfinity is great at selling you services, but terrible at actually delivering or supporting them. I'm canceling everything. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

My spouse knows the internet will come back eventually (and it's still an issue so they get no leeway from me and we're paying almost $400 a month (it includes HBO ($17) and HDTV. TRY ANY OTHER SERVICE BEFORE THIS COMPANY. IT'S BAD in every way. Support, when not local, most of the time has no clue what they're even talking about. We have 3 tvs and 2 are within 20' or less of the modem/router on 2nd floor. 2nd floor tvs do the same thing - they drop the internet (and it may be throttling by astound, I don't know). One tv got moved from one room on the 1st floor into a fairly open are in a room right across from the room it was in for 7 years. They changed how the screen (tv) is viewed and it cuts off part of the screen with the FF, rewind, pause. It's annoying and interferes when I'm trying to read something. It does a weird auto rewind too many times and I'm pressing the right button. When I go back into the show, I often have to ff it to where I think I left off. rcn, do this ten times in 30 minutes and tell me how you feel. I'm ready to throw something at rcn/astound (not our tv). The signal on the internet drops too much on all tvs. I had a recorded show on and it kept coming up with three circles (so the internet usually drops when that happens and in ten minutes, I've had to disconnect the damn internet and reconnect it again 4 x). I changed rooms and tvs. rcn/astound/jackie don't respond to this - words are bogus as is the name. I went from being frustrated a lot to being frustrated and angry with the company every time I try to watch tv. I'm one person out of two and my vote for about 8 years has been to ditch the company. That's the only reason it's still here.
