Wannabe Texas road house. Not bad food, but not great. Draft beer selection sucks. Good service.

That was…read morethe case at Colton's Steak House, where we were seated almost the second we walked in--no waiting, no table shuffle, and the booth was already clean enough to pass muster with the pickiest mother‑in‑law. Before I could even get my glasses out of the case, our waitress--who also doubled as the bartender--was standing by, ready to take the order. Lucky for her, we already knew what we wanted. Drinks landed fast, followed by salads with the right dressing (a small victory in this world), and the steaks showed up before I'd even made a dent in the seat cushion. Mine came out just right--good sear, the right touch of smoke--and that baked potato was the soft, fluffy sort that needs nothing but a little butter and guilt. Our server managed that perfect balance: always nearby when we needed something, never hovering like a drone at dinner. All told, Colton's makes it easy to sit back, enjoy a properly cooked steak, and feel like you're being taken care of by folks who actually enjoy what they do. I'll be back.

Although we didn't receive any bread, it was still a great experience. I ordered the Montana burger with pepper jack cheese. Normally, I'm not a fan of pickles, but these were so good!

The ambience was great and so was the food, but so overpriced. For 3 adults and 2 children it was about $200, and that was without dessert, the desserts looked amazing though. What we ordered would have cost us maybe $60 back in Germany. I cook German food all the time at home, so it was nice not having to cook, but we won't be going back.

I am not super familiar with German food, but like to try things that are different. I wasn't sure what to order, so I ordered a Schnitzel Trio for $22.95. Pricey I know, but was here on work training and knew I'd get a per diem of sorts. They first brought out a small salad with a couple German style green beans, and other cabbage themed side dish. All was tasty. The trio came with a Cordon Bleu schnitzel, Jäger Schnitzel, and St. Maritza Schnitzel, and instead of a choice of potato, I chose the Spaetze which is like noodle. It also came with a bowl of brown gravy with mushrooms, which is poured over the noodles. All of the schnitzels were good with the Cordon Bleu and Jäger Schnitzels being my favorite. The gravy made the noodles, otherwise the noodles by themselves would not have a lot of flavor. It also came with a roll, but roll was hard and pretty dry. Overall, it was a nice experience and I left full. It is a bit pricey and not somewhere I go on my own as I regularly live on a frugal budget! I had the trio and a water and the total bill was $24.84 before tip! Great friendly service and I hope the continue to do well. It sounded like they just opened for more days out of the week.
