I was a loyal customer for years, I will never buy from them again, and will drive to Corbo's in Little Italy after the horrible service received a few weeks ago. I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday on Friday, Sept. 17th, and drove from our house in Richfield to pick it up. Well, Fridays on Ridge Rd. are a zoo, and after sitting through four red lights, I called to tell them I was coming, but might be a few minutes late. (They close at 5:30, right in the middle of rush hour.) The elderly lady that answered was pretty crass, but still, when I arrived at 5:33 and they were locked up tight, I was shocked. Growing up my birthday cake would always be a strawberry custard cassata cake from Colozza's Bakery. I guess this would be considered the "Cleveland" version of the Italian cassata cake. It is the most delicious cake I have ever tasted. I recently picked one up for my 22nd birthday, and it was still as delicious as I remembered from my childhood. I'm generally new to the Cleveland area, and everyone I talk to raves about this bakery. I decided to visit- got a cannoli bomb and a pecan cookie with chocolate frosting. I went around 11:00am figuring everything would still be semi fresh. The bomb's filling was more gelatinous than expected which resulted in a non- fresh taste and it also seemed as if it was made the prior day. The cookie I got was great, except the frosting tasted like Betty Crocker's store bought brand. The people were very friendly, but the product was less than stellar in my opinion. Wandered in here on a rainy Saturday afternoon with my husband, and boy did it brighten up our day! We tried several delicacies, including a Russian tea cake, a traditional Italian cannoli, and our favorite a freshly made French beignet. Colozza's Bakery is a good place to buy delicious and very reasonably priced baked goodies. I stopped here on 10-13-16 on a whim and am I SO glad I did. They have all kinds of beautiful pastries including traditional kolatchke (little fruit, nut or cheese filled pastries). Wow, these kolatchke are simply excellent in quality, freshness and flavor. These are as close to Polish kolatchke as I've had anywhere in the area. The dough is perfect. I bought 5 of them, plus a small cookie and a large, twisted, iced walnut filled pastry, all for $3.00! Really, if you want some really delicious quality treats, I recommend giving this place a try. They make wedding cakes and other special order cakes. Service is very friendly and there is off street, ample parking. I'm a new fan and will return to Colozza's. read more

I went for a cannoli bomb and regular cannolis. The cannolis were still yummy but they started adding amaretto to their items. For me, this is a fatal flaw. A cannoli cake or tiramisu should never have amaretto in it, as it is a cost cutting measure that results in sub-par items. My family will go on occasion for other items but a customer has been lost for special occasion cakes. Very sad about this. read more

Always get my cassata cake here. Best bakery in the area and reasonably priced. The aroma is enticing when you step inside and customer service is friendly. It would be nice if they would suggest some fresh bread or offer a sample if a customer is mulling over whether to purchase a certain cookie or other baked good. This bakery has some of the best stuff! We got gigantic lady locks in the past that were amazing. The specialty cakes are to die for such as the raspberry champagne, just delicious. Depending on what you order in a frosting, I don't find them too sweet and with great flavor. The staff is always friendly and makes you feel welcome. I have worked in customer service for many years...even at the management level so I truly understand great customer service. I used Colozza's for my wedding cake October 2016 and they far exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, they were polite, easy to work with, always had a smile, followed up on any communications initiated by me, i.e., questions, etc., and the cake was to die for!!! I worked personally with Angelo for the most part but I also had a couple of dealings with his wife who was just as friendly as he was. They were efficient, pleasant, met delivery time/day, and the cake was exactly as I wanted. I even had issues finding the exact topper I wanted and they made my day special by providing it. I can't say enough about Colozza's!! I will use them for all of my baking needs and have told many about them as my guests continually asked me "who made your cake". OUTSTANDING, OUTSTANDING, OUTSTANDING!!! THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO MAKE MY DAY SPECIAL!!! ok I have been a fan of this place for years and travel about 30 minutes out of my way, I would usually call ahead and order to be sure my favorite bakery item the lady locks were available and then pick up additional when we got there. The first disappointment was the items were stale def not that days baked goods. a big let down!! second time I figured I will call and request that it was that days baked goods I was assure they were. Guess what they were not!!!! this last time wed the 24th I had a unexpected meeting in parma and I thought oh good I will stop it was about 10:am some of the shelves were filled some not so much. as I asked for my ladylocks it occurred to me was this todays or yesterdays. The best bakery in Parma! By far and possibly the West side to be honest. Everything is fresh, smells amazing and tastes great! It is so clean and bright in there I love to take my kids to view the all the tasty treats. The staff is always kind and helpful, they will go out of their way to make you happy. The customer service is wonderful. My sister had her wedding cake made there and it was to die for! The cookies are bright and cute, the cakes are delicious and their breads are delicious and traditional and fresh. You can not go wrong with anything you bring home from there. The prices are very fair, competitive even. The quality is always on point. If you have not been here, drive over and get yourself a treat. I called and spoke to a man about ordering a tiramisu cake for me and my wife's anniversary. I asked him if he makes them because most places just sell slices. If I knew that it was going to be stuffed and covered with whipped cream I would of never ordered it because my wife does not care for it. Thats my fault for not asking what the cake was going to be consisted with. I took it for granted that it would be just like if I ordered a slice. When my wife called to complain, the same man told her," thats the way we make the cakes, we have have to stuff them with something to make them bigger". So the moral of the story is make sure you specify when ordering something from them if you don't like surprises. They have been around so long that they feel if someone isn't satisfied, too bad. Also, people that have written complaints about the nasty attitudes about alot of the staff are not lying. The girl who waited on me this time was friendly. I have been going there off and on since the early 80s and generally speaking the attitude is discusting. After ruining my wife's anniversary cake I will not take anymore chances with them anymore. Besides this, they are very chinchy with their tiramisu. They use very small amounts of espresso coffee beans. This is my fault, I should of driven accross town to Presti's to get a quality product. Presti's tiramisu is definitely the best in town and worth the extra time to get there. At least you know you will get a premium product. read more
