Very friendly staff and their chocolate covered cannolis are very good, amongst some of their other treats. Please remember that while they have cake doughnuts year round, their paczkis are seasonal. They still have many other baked goods that you can enjoy year-round, however! Lots of parking and off of the main road in Parma so easy to find, albeit that road has been under construction for awhile so just be sure to use care when pulling in and out. read more

Sweet little Italian bakery with top-notch cannolis! Dropped by for a quick visit today after a wedding at the church across the street. Picked up a nice batch of mini-cannolis (they had normal/larger ones too), a small cookie assortment for the fam, and a slice of Napolean cake. The mini cannolis (which are actually good-sized and take quite a few bites to finish off) were excellent, the filling thick and creamy, the shell, sweet and crunchy, reminiscent of a good, fresh ice cream cone. The Napolean was delicious as well--a layer of pastry atop four inches of custard and cream. It's a different style from what I used to get from Chinese bakeries--4-5 layers of pastry with walnuts and thin layers of cream in between like mortar between bricks. Different, but equally delicious. The store is modest in size and decor but I was impressed with how very clean, organized, and well-ventilated the space seemed. Service was friendly, prompt, but not pressing. They have a wide variety of cookies, pastries, cassata cakes, regular cakes and mini-cakes, including "bombs"--domed minicakes encased in white or regular chocolate. They do all types of cakes made to order, and while they don't deliver, they do have a partner delivery service that will deliver your cake to your event if you need it. I know there's a good number of little Italian bakeries that people will swear by throughout Cleveland--this is the first I've visited in person so I can't say how it compares to others yet. However, I can say that I've had cannolis from other vendors and cookies from Presti's, and Cazzola's cannolis and cookies runs laps around theirs. Will definitely be back for at least a few more cannoli runs this summer! read more

This bakery is awesome from the minute you enter the door. It's clean, it's bright, and the selection is endless. We almost couldn't decide what to get and the clerk was incredibly helpful. We went in thinking we would just get a few things but walked out with four bags and still spent less than $20. All from scratch items and unique assortments of bread. One being a cinnamon bread that we were told makes awesome French toast. I would go out of my way to come back and for our next party, I am thinking about having them do a custom cake. From the pictures on the wall it looks like they do quite a bit of this. Definitely a return stop. read more

I LOVE stopping in at random bakeries to try items. I'm glad I got two things because I didn't love the brownie and I would have been sad if that was my opinion of this bakery. It was dry and not fudgey. But man oh man that cassata cake in a cup was phenomenal. It was adorable for a little gift for someone or a little desert treat for yourself! It's so smart to package things like that because people are more likely to purchase it if it's easy to eat! The woman that assisted me was the sweetest most friendly lady. I feel like she treated me like a friend-I love feeling welcome and appreciated at places! They do personalized cakes and such as well, even had Pokemon cookies! Tried this bakery for the first time. I ordered a white cake with white buttercream frosting for a graduation. My expectations may have been too high but to say it was disappointing is an understatement. The cake was spongy and dry rather than dense and moist and the frosting was just okay. I ordered a promotion cake, and was assured it would be great. I specifically asked for a masculine cake, and they put flowers on it! I asked them to put a Maltese cross on the cake and they told me they could not pipe it, but could put an edible image on the cake. It was not ideal, but I respected the fact that they knew their limitations. I then had to go home and find the image to send them, which I did. I even sent a couple, as I did not know how they would come out on the edible paper. I was emailed back in response to the images I sent, and was again assured the cake would be great. The edible image was not even put on straight. The writing was crooked and bleeding. This is supposed to be a professional bakery. They should know how to properly place wording so that it fits! I would have rather had congratulations shortened to congrats than to have it all crooked. The cake did taste good, so for that, I am thankful. Someone else picked up the cake for me, so I was not able to address this in person with them. I sent them an email with the pic, and did not even get an apology or understanding. I never asked for a refund, discount, etc. I just wanted them to acknowledge the poor work. I would not use this bakery again, based on the quality and poor customer service. read more

I have heard GREAT things about this bakery, but my experience was NOT great. I have been in search of a delicious cassata cake and heard this place had delicious ones. I spent $30 on a cake, got it home and tasted it, and it tastes like they use some sort of strawberry jam instead of real strawberries. Seriously? If that's the taste I wanted, I could have gone to a donut shop, and paid $1 for a "strawberry" filled donut. Also while there, I bought a brownie that looked really good, but had a burnt taste. This cassata cake was not heaven. It was some ersatz approximation (in my humble opinion). No fresh strawberries, the cake was cheap and light rather than dense, no discernible dairy in the creme, and the custard layer was a bit thin (though the best part of the cake). The mushy strawberry filling and frosting were gross and tasted like cheap ingredients out of buckets. The aftertaste was oil. My guests were polite about it, but commented the day after. At $47 for a quarter sheet, this was a monumental mistake I will not be making ever again. read more

I had to knock them down a star. My first visit was wonderful and what I bought was wonderful. Since then .. well, here are some things you need to be wary of. 1) The dude (owner?) is super nice and friendly. He's engaging and loves the store. ... the ladies ... they're so apathetic and the granny is at times really rude as if she doesn't want you to buy anything because it's too much of a chore. 2) The Strawberry Colazza is wonderful. It's fresh and tasty. ...now everything else in their stock I'd give it a miss or at least don't blame me. I went last time with my wife and we picked up a Strawberry Colazza but for the road we got a small creme cake and a parfait-type thing ... both were stale as wood. One bite and I knew this has been sitting there for at least a few weeks. I think they get the most turnaround with the Strawberry Colazza .. so stick with that 3) This place has weird hours. I've come at least twice finding it closed. Check the hours before you go is all I'm saying. read more

Contrary to words of wisdom the best can come from least likely sources. Today being Fat Tuesday I give five stars to Colozza's for their version of paczki. I have no idea why this Italian bakery excels on Fat Tuesday when nothing else I have ever bought has been excellent. Even the cassata cake falls short. I hate any and every canoli so they may be as good as others claim, just not for me. BUT the paczki make me drive that horrid route to Parma. I heard people were lining up at Seven Roses on Fleet this morning. I will spend my time driving to Parma and get the custard filled paczki. There are other fillings, just not for me. I adore this bakery. They have my sweet perfect rainbow cookies, some amazing pignole cookies and such a great assortment of baked goods. I'm a frequent customer and by now the staff knows when I walk through the door it's automatically a pound of rainbow cookies. That's awesome customer service if you ask me. It's a small bake shop with a lot to offer, they do custom birthday and wedding cakes as well as cupcakes and other goods. They have Pączki which are to die for!! I pushed and pushed my mom not to settle for some prepackaged dessert for our family get together. When we walked through the door of this place - the smell is unlike anything you can capture in words. It's an instant smile - and that's good, because everyone here has one, too. The cannoli are, sincerely, some of the best I've ever had - and I am a cannoli fanatic. Made with fresh ricotta, it's highly recommended (and for less than $2 bucks a cannoli, it's even better). My dad and I could have torn through a box of them ourselves. I always go with a cassata cake for our family functions - it's one of those desserts that everyone likes (even people on diets can justify having some because of the fresh strawberries). This was a well-balanced execution of a classic. An entire cake for $12 bucks. Everything in the place looked so good; as a fan of sweets, I honestly could have gone crazy in there and loaded up on a little of everything - and I sort of wish I would have, ha! Colozza's made the cake for our wedding and even the DJ (who is at weddings all the time) took a picture of how beautiful it was! They have tons of demo cakes set up in the bakery instead of just pictures and you're able to pick and choose between bits of each to create your perfect custom cake. The staff are super easy to work with and will make you feel like a million bucks. In addition to all that IT WAS DELICIOUS. NOTE: I ended up chipping a tooth on a non-edible rhinestone on the cake. However, this was not the fault of the bakery but the reception venue as Colozza's told them to remove the stones before serving which the venue did not. read more

Nothing makes this little Sicilian heart happier than being around homemade pastries. Being a Pastry Chef myself, I'm pretty hard to impress, but this family run place definitely won me over. I bought a dozen sfigadel, sfogliatelle depending on where your family is from, for Christmas to bring down to my mother. They were wonderful! I go in a few times a month to get a fix. I love that this place is two blocks away so during the warmer weather I'll be able to walk down so my thighs won't hate me as much. read more
