We probably dropped about $60 on some of the best sweet treat's bakery. It was worth every penny except the Cherry Strudel. Strudel is what Rudy's is known for except the wonderful Paczki's during Lent. Back to the strudel. Either it was over baked or just plain stale. The worst I've purchased. In fact, I actually had to cut through the bottom of the strudel with a serrated knife. The cherries were great tasting but the strudel, certainly not what I expected from Rudy's Strudel. I hope someone at Rudy's pays attention. It was disappointing.

We requested a peanut butter brownie and cookies and cream milkshake cookies. The cookies were large and we took them to go. When we got home, we heated the cookies up in the microwave. I tasted the cookies and cream milkshake first. It was tasted very sugary. I wasn't impressed. I've had super sugary cookies before and this one reminded me of that - it just tasted like sugar. The peanut butter brownie cookie was leaps and bounds better than the cookies and cream. I couldn't stop eating it. Basically, it tasted like a peanut butter brownie and beared no resemblance, other than visually, to a cookie. But it was super good. I'm glad I tried it, but I probably will only visit for my daughter. I usually buy chocolate chunk cookies from Aldi and heat them up in the microwave. At Aldi, I get 10 cookies for the same price as one at Crumbl and when heated up, they satisfy my cookie craving.

I made the mistake of showing up just after 1pm on a weekday and the shelves were almost bare. However I was able to score rye bread ($5!!!) sliced for free, and some amazingly delicious raspberry cookies ($7#). Everything they make is organic, which is a nice surprise. They also carry tortes, cookies, pyrohy, and some frozen goods. Staff is amongst the most friendly I have ever dealt with!

I felt the cinnamon twist was a bit dry but that could just be the type of bakery item it is. The apricot danish was nice, not sure if their filling is homemade or not but it tasted like most apricot fillings I have had. The bakery was tasty, I would not say I would go out of my way for any of the things that I tried but if I was in the area again I would definitely peak in to see what they have in the case for the day.
