Carrot Cake that's a home run!

Lots of great choices. Located inside the Westside Marketplace in downtown Cleveland, be ready to fill up your basket with lots of good food items. We got the Carrot Cake and cookies for breakfast. The cake was a wonderful piece of art, full of taste and texture. Definitely a must stop at this historic building.

I got a slice of tiramisu and it was delicious! This place has the best macarons that I've ever tried. Employee are friendly and helpful. I'll come back to this store again and buy some more sweets.

I'm going to start off with the positives. The location in the market is great! Everything looked clean! The employees were very friendly and attentive! I got myself French macarons. So keep in mind that this review is based off of one item... In fact, a very difficult bakery item. So I got five, and they were all bad in one way or another. The actual macaron cookie shells or hard/crispy/crunchy. The filling that goes between the macaron shells was not spread across the whole thing. I'm no expert with macaroons but I do know they are supposed to be crispy outside, chewy inside, and sandwiching buttercream or jelly or something. These were crunchy, hollow on the inside of the macaroon shell, and lacking filling. All things that, in my opinion, make up a bad macaroon. Now that could be because technique, or maybe because they were not fresh. My best guess for this place is a combination of both. I'm giving them two because they really were nice people, and macaroons really are difficult so maybe it was an honest attempt. They were the quality of one star though.

So. Many. Sweets! Oh my goodness, this place is full of European delicacies! The macaroons are jumbo size and there is a huge variety of flavors! I got suckered into the cute unicorn cake pop and a box of kolachky. Bonus: the lady working was super sweet!

I was wandering around the West Side Market with my friend, and Euro Sweet's extensive and colorful macaron display stopped my macaron loving self in its tracks. So many flavors! So many decisions! They're the largest macarons I've seen, and definitely worth the $2 per macaron. Originally I only intended to pick 4 or 5 out to try, but my friend started pointing out flavors, and the very kind and amusing man behind the counter cut us a deal if we bought 12...so we bought 12 macarons! Oh my lanta. When we got home with our sweet bounty after a day of delicious foods, we looked at each other and asked "What have we done? We can't eat all these ourselves!" So a third friend was invited over, and we split each macaron 3 ways, very much enjoying the chance to sample 12 of their delectable flavors. (Can you believe we maybe only sampled half of what they offer?!) I will surely be back to Euro Sweets to try more of their flavors one of these days! And perhaps, even something other than the macarons.

Cutest macaroons! They're so tasty, and the woman who owns the shop is so sweet! I love coming here every time I'm at West Side because it always gives me my sugar fix ;)

This is the first time I have ever bought anything here. I had such a hard time deciding on what to get. Everything looks so good. I decided to get a few different items. I got 2 cake pops... all are decorated so cute & look super yummy! My grandson picked ones with blue on them, so that's what I got. I also got a chocolate chip cookie, which was pretty good . And I got a brownie for my hubby. He said it was pretty good also. Prices are reasonable. And the man working there was so nice!! He was extremely patient while my grandson picked out his blue cake pops. Will definitely go back.

One of Cleveland's great spots for European treats. They specialize in macaron's. They have over thirty flavors to choose from. Options like lavender, green tea, pumkin pie to smores. You can't go wrong and they are absolutely delicious. Some if the best we have had o n Cleveland. They also make old world pastries like Russian tea biscuits, bear claws and Kolache. And don't forget the meringue cookies, they are almost as large as a football and they range in a variety of flavors as well. Definitely worth checking out.

They post their Saturday specials every week and they always sound amazing, but this one especially lured me in. I stopped in late on a Saturday morning, expecting them to be sold out of some of their goodies. Not at all. The case was still stocked with beautiful pastries and sweets. I was helped immediately, even though there were about 5 people ahead of me. I was instantly swooning over the gorgeous cakes In The window and the charming decor. I honestly did not know they had a seating area, it was so cute! I said TO GO before I noticed the darling dining room. My transaction was swift and the girl was polite. I do wish there was a better parking solution. Lakewood, amirite? The apricot tart was fine Chocolate chip scone good Kalamata and feta scone was awesome ham Quiche was perfection. Crust was top notch and filling was set up expertly. I reheated it gently in the air fryer and this baby was exquisite. The portions were average and prices were competitive. These days, it is a treat to enjoy something local and homemade. It's always worth the cost to have the privilege of supporting a local business. I absolutely will return for more delights. The pastries were delicious and I highly recommend!

The decision of where we should purchase a cake is well thought out. This year we chose an almond cake with buttercream frosting from KB. It was amazing. The almond flavor was subtle, yet distinct. The buttercream; perfection. And the cake decoration was beautifully executed. We savored every morsel.

While she has no brick and mortar right now, she's exceptional at communicating about upcoming goods she's selling. Follow Sweet Costo on social media and you'll be the first to know when she's shipping out! I've had many marvelous treats from Sweet Costo, but my favorite is by far the S'mores Brownies. My family placed an order during her last offering and I am embarrassed at how quickly they went. They are the perfect amount of chewy but ironically NOT a giant sugar rush. You could sit there eating and eating them. I also sent some out as a gift to a friend on the covid frontlines and she LOVED them. Shipping was very reliable! Our other favorite item by Sweet Costo is her decadent macarons. The best part about Sweet Costo is that Shelby is a kind and good-hearted person. I always like to give my business to genuinely good people and I am blessed to know Shelby.

Pro Tip: Visit to get a pic by their cool Lakewood mural inside the store…read more Walking into Burning River Coffee was a bit like stumbling into a local secret - a combo of smoke shop and coffee shop. The front is unassuming, and this combo isn't something you see every day, but somehow, it works... or at least, it's interesting enough to give it a shot. I visited the coffee shop side while working nearby (walking distance) at the co-working center (Icon Cowork). I ordered the red eye. Honestly? It delivered. It wired me for days. It was extremely strong and not well crafted (too much, definitely not barista made). But boy did it do its job. While at the coffee shop, I noticed a small menu of other drinks and no baked goods in the case. It just really had the basics. Service was very quick. The barista (who worked both sides of the house) was nice enough, but the vibe was more transactional than inviting. Not rude, just kind of indifferent. The space had enough tables to sit at and very quiet atmosphere. One thing I couldn't ignore was the scent of vape juice hanging in the air. It didn't bother me personally, but I can see how that could be a turn-off if you're expecting more of a traditional coffee shop aesthetic. Of note is that both sides of the business have the same entrance. They're working on dividing the space into two separate ones according to my quick chat with the employee. Currently the coffee shop has no age restrictions while the smoke shop is 21+. Overall? Burning River Coffee is quirky and good for a simple cup of coffee. It's not a textbook coffee shop experience -- it's its own thing. Just don't expect the usual indie-coffeehouse playlist and aesthetic. Expect something unexpected and different.

The location is great to walk to neighborhood shops and restaurants in Lakewood. The friendly staffer really worked her latte magic! She said she always adds a little bit of vanilla to punch up the flavors of the lattes. The coffees were so good. I also appreciated that they used lots of ice....perfectly cold and creamy. The baked goods looked nothing like the pictures on Yelp, but they did have several vegan and gf options. This morning they also had fresh cinnamon rolls.
