It's hard to overstate how impactful the oncology team at CASE has been throughout my pups journey…read morewith hemangiosarcoma. After finding a lump on my dogs throat, I was told by our vet to bring her to an oncology specialist - they recommended the team at CASE. I was able to get an appointment for the following week (very lucky! - most places had over a month wait). Our first visit was loaded with important information, and Dr. Galloway very graciously and patiently talked me through what was happening, what my options were, and with those options in mind, what was next. Within 24 hours, I had a diagnosis - supplemented with lab work, X-rays, and radiographs - and my pup had a spot on Dr. Prpich's surgery schedule for the following morning. If I had known at the time how much of a bada** surgeon Dr. Prpich is, I would have had the best sleep of my life... she removed a cancerous mass WRAPPED AROUND MY DOGS CAROTID ARTERY, among other things, and called me herself to let me know the surgery was successful. Upon picking up my pup, I received a printed and bound (!!) report concerning a treatment plan and her med schedule. Mesa and I went back for chemo appointments the following 3 months, and the front desk staff and vet techs were nothing short of completely delightful. On her last day of chemo, my pup came home with a bandana and a printed certificate to celebrate her last appointment; it was signed by all the staff, include Dr. Galloway, and yes, I rushed back to the car to have the happiest ugly cry at the thoughtfulness of it all. That is the IMMENSE level of competency you can expect from the oncology department at CASE. I hope you never have to make an oncology appointment for your pet, but if you do, I hope for the sake of you and your pet that you're able to make it here.

And they are not kidding, even if your question is urgent, your call back will take the 72 hours. How does that equate to quality care?
