I love this place! Easy to use - and I always leave feeling like I did a good thing by keeping stuff out of the landfill.

A senior manager apologized for poor service. They said they had addressed the issues. I like the mission of ecocycle so they are cool.

I've volunteered with WRV for 5 of its 10 years and can honestly say that they have figured-out the magic recipe for providing a truly rewarding volunteer experience, whether it's as simple as a morning spent pulling an invasive weed in Boulder or as intense as a multi-day, high-altitude alpine project where the mission is to repair erosion damage along steep sections of trail. Plus (fellow Yelpers ought to like this), WRV tends to feed its volunteers well on projects. My motto is 'will work for food,' and I'm right at home with WRV.

The seeds will be later collected by rubbing the seed heads on screens, so I hear. Then, they will be used to replant native plants in restoration areas. The COVID-19 virus happened during their normal seed cleaning period so I hope they can catch up when all this is done. You either carpool or drive yourself to the location where the seeds have been pre-scouted, then wander and stoop to pluck the seed heads. WRV offers snacks like granola bars, cheese sticks, fruit and soda/sparkling water with essences. The typical time out of your day might be 4 hours... 9-1 usually, plus short nature hikes with expert guides, and they also offer full day and camping/working trips. They are organized through Boulder County (I forgot the last part of the name) on St. Vrain Rd. You can get more information off the web by looking for Wildlands Resources Volunteers. You can subscribe to them and you'll get lists of types of help needed, dates and times and can register from there. Many of the volunteers have worked with them for many, many years. Registration may be limited so sign up as fast as you can and there is a waiting list so if you can't make it, let them know.

They were offering free rides for people who had lost their cars in the flood, which was very generous and community-minded. I have only had 3 or 4 rides with Via so far. They have been on time to pick me up which I have appreciated. The office people who answer the telephones and schedule rides are very efficient and detail oriented. The drivers are pretty routine and protocol-focused. I would appreciate a bit more flexibility about being able to get in and out of the car without any help. I do understand they are required to help riders get in and out of their vehicles. This Via service has been a real Godsend for me recently and the cost is very reasonable.
