I absolutely trust them completely with the care of my beloved cats when I need to be out of town. The very best care from the very best sitters for a price that is very reasonable. The sitters are all very knowledgeable and qualified. We never hesitate to have them come in to care for our babies! read more

My wife and I are going out of town and were looking for someone to watch our cat and do some simple garden watering services as well as taking out the trash. We logged our service request in the website and then were sent an invoice a few days later. Thankfully I reviewed the invoice because it had overcharged us on a number of items. I sent the corrections back to Ruth, the owner of the company, and she thanked me for looking over the invoice. What confuses me though is this - If I spent all that time adding those services onto their horrendously confusing client portal, why would the services in the invoice be different? Seemed odd but I didn't really think much about it at this point. Ruth sent over the second invoice with the extra services removed. However, the price on this invoice was the same as the previous invoice - even though 3 services had been removed from the schedule. When I asked Ruth to give me a call to go over the invoice to explain the discrepancy and to ask questions about what some of the fees were for exactly, she shrugged off my question and just stated she had generated a new invoice. Again with mistakes and duplicate charges. At this point, I was getting uncomfortable with the number of mistakes occurring and the continual changes in fees being added that I once again asked for a call back to clarify some of the fees. She again responded by not addressing the question but rather declaring how she was helping us out by accommodating our service requests "on the fly." At this point, I was frustrated by her continual avoidance of my attempts to clarify the charges so I asked her once again to give me a call and let her know that my wife and I had attempted to call her MANY times over the past 4-5 days (about 12+ call attempts) to get some clarity on her services as well as fees since her website is so confusing and really doesn't provide much relevant details. She then responded by asking us to seek alternative services - once again, refusing to provide any clarity on her fees that seem to me to be redundant. See photo for her response to my email asking to clarify the fees. It's obvious that she does not want anyone questioning her fees. It also seems obvious, given that she provided 3 invoices and all 3 were incorrect, that she has no interest in being fair or providing honest answers about what she charges. She is looking for people to not look over their invoices and just overpay without question. Giving one star to this business is incredibly generous. If I could give 0, I would. Ruth, the owner of the business, is incredibly unprofessional and unresponsive. We made numerous attempts to call and email her but only received limited responses - basically just asking to pay up. Their website is hot garbage that provides little information and their client portal is even worse. Trying to book a service is a monumental task - let alone figuring out if you've done it correctly. Despite having a atrocious online digital presence, Ruth refuses to answer phone calls or call clients. I had used City Kitty once prior and was able to overlook their horrendous website that is hard to understand. I was also willing to ignore the incredibly confusing customer portal that makes it difficult to book services. But this lack of professionalism was pretty alarming. Do yourselves a favor and stay away from City Kitty Sitter (should be called Sh*tty Kitty Sitters). You can find better alternatives on Rover or other platforms that actually care about their customers. read more

City Kitty Sitter - Pet Sitting Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Do not use this company! I was a client for years and was happy up until my return from a trip early this morning. I utilize them because they are supposed to be trained vet techs and I have a diabetic cat. When I came home I had dried diarrhea, cat puke and the water bowl appeared to never be filled. Not once did they indicate my cat could be sick. I have him very regulated and upon my return he had a glucose level of almost 400 and showed signs of being sick. Prior to my leaving he was well regulated and his usual self. They told me he was too low for insulin and completely disregarded my instructions because I am not a vet, however prof to them caring for him, the vet said I was doing a great job! Needless to say, I was charged over $400 for a service and came home to a neglected cat and I now am likely going to have to get him to the vet and it will take months to fix this. Do not use this service! read more

We love City Kitty Sitters! They have done such a good job over multiple weekend and week long trips away from our two cats. They are flexible, website is easy to use, safe, and our cats have been well taken care of. We love the email updates with photos, the ability to add on plant watering and mail carry in. The ability to book several trips at once in the future and make changes as last minute things come up has set them apart. I so appreciate having a company that we can rely on when out of town. We've had Maria the past two trips and were very happy with the care our cats received. Thank you! read more

We have had many great experiences with City Kitty Sitters. It is really reassuring to receive email updates and to be able to book many weekends at a time. The site is easy to use, the team is responsive and our animals are always well taken care of. Special shout out to Maria for being great. Thank you CKS! We are grateful for your services. read more

Beyond grateful to live in the same city as City Kitty Sitter. They have been such a lifesaver watching my high-needs pet when I am out of town. Can't recommend them enough. read more

I have been using City Kitty Sitter for about two and a half years now, for as long as I've lived in Denver, and I've always had an amazing experience! I have two cats and I never worry about them when I got out of town. I know they are getting a lot of love and some treats. I love that I receive a first visit e-mail and a last visit e-mail, so I know that everything is going great. Sometimes the e-mails even have pictures of my cats enjoying their pet visit. I would highly recommend City Kitty Sitter to anyone who is looking for pet sitters who are truly on top of their game and love my pets just as much as I do! read more

This service was literally a lifesaver for us. Two weeks ago on 9/24 one of our kitties had a bladder blockage, which can be life threatening if not treated immediately. Our wedding in Lake Tahoe was on 9/30 and we were getting ready to leave town for two weeks. We are new to Denver and don't really know many people who could cat-sit, let alone be responsible in the event of another vet trip and possibly administer medication. I didn't want to leave him at the vet the whole time, so I started looking and found City Kitty on Yelp. As soon as I talked to Stacey on the phone, I could tell that our kitty Biggie would be in good hands while we were away. She had dealt with this exact situation in cats of her own and knew exactly what to look for. While we were on our honeymoon, she was able to identify some warning signs and get him back to the vet immediately. She also brought him back home a few days later and gave him his medicine for the day so he was home, healthy and waiting for us when we returned. Stacey also came over every day to feed, brush, and play with our other kitty Princess - Princess doesn't like a whole lot of people but she certainly loves Stacey. We did not have good cell service on our honeymoon but did have some WiFi, so we were really only able to communicate via email. Stacey was great with this as well and I really appreciated the pics too! I really can't say enough about this service - I am so thrilled to have found them. The cost is extremely affordable and is really nothing compared to the peace of mind I was able to get from the exchange. Thank you so much!!! read more

City Kitty Sitter is fantastic. Very easy scheduling and overall experience. Favio watches our Cat Bowser and bearded dragon Cinder when we're out and provides updates to keep us at ease. He is also a cat/animal lover and I feel well knowing that if something medical happened, Favio is more knowledgeable than me on how to best care for the pets. Upon returning home, Bowser was excited to have us back but I knew he was well taken care of while out. It gives us great ease knowing CKS is around. read more

We are huge fans of City Kitty Sitters. This is a team of pet sitters which is comprised of well-trained vet techs who not only know how to care for your kitties, but do so with love and compassion. In the past they have rushed our cats to the vet for unexpected medical care while we were out of town and, most recently, assisted us with the administration of medication when we were unable to do so ourselves. I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of our cats! read more

City Kitty Sitters have been watching our two little fur babies for over 3 years whenever we are out of town, so this review is long over due! Whenever we have to leave the kitties, I get major anxiety, so finding good sitters was very important to us. They have always been so reliable and we have always felt safe having them watch our kitties! They'll even send you an update on how the kitties are doing, which always puts my anxiety at ease. Ruth and Fabio are the owners and they are very sweet and you can tell they are true cat lovers. I would highly recommend them if you're ever in need of a kitty sitter :). read more

When you meet the owner, Ruth, it is quite obvious how much she love and cares for cats. -Ruth stayed in great communication before and during my trip. -My cat did not show any signs of stress when I returned. -Payment and scheduling online was quick and easy. I'm very happy with my service and would highly recommend it to a friend. I'm sad to have moved away and no longer be able to use City Kitty. read more

Favio always does a great job. Integra, our cat, just loves him. Sometimes I think after we have been gone, she is slightly disappointed it is not him coming through the door. CKS has a nice website for scheduling specialties and I find the prices reasonable for the services to my pet. read more

I have been using City Kitty Sitter for yearsssss. Ruth and her team are wonderful, and they have never, ever let me down. Even when my crabby old man kitty needed meds 2x/day, I knew he was in good hands. Also, their online system makes scheduling super easy! read more

NOT TRUSTWORTHY. I have two cats who needed attention for two weeks as I went on a National Park tour. After returning home I called Ruth to ask why Jenny and Lamar's food bowl was oddly placed on the kitchen counter and not where it belonged. I also wanted to know why my plants had not been watered. My once thriving patio plants were shriveled and sitting in pots of dust that had not seen any water in days if not weeks. "Well, I don't know about the food bowl but your plants were dying anyway", she replied. When I pressed for an explanation she said that obviously I care more about my plants than my cats. She offered no accommodation, or consideration. As she became ruder and tried to blame me for the plants, I was frightened to think I allowed this person into my home. I will never use this service again because it cannot be trusted to do the work promised or to try to make amends for their neglect. Zero stars. read more

We've used their services for dog walking and feeding and will continue to do so! Ruth and Favio are wonderful with the pets, and they make it so easy to schedule and set up services. I feel stress free knowing my babies are well taken care of while I'm gone. If that wasn't enough, they took the time to rescue a baby bird that was discovered on a dog walk during our last service. Great service and great hearts! read more

City Kitty Sitter - A cute baby bird that Ruth rescued on one of the walks with our pups. So sweet! - Pet Sitting Near Me - Denver, Colorado

City Kitty Sitter provides the best customer service imaginable. The online scheduling is so convenient and I recently had an issue with an invoice which they immediately adjusted upon my request. The people who take care of your pets genuinely love animals and care about their well being. I worry so much leaving my kitty but, after meeting the young lady who will take care of her I am not in the least bit concerned. read more

My husband and I used City Kitty Sitter's services over the holidays in December 2015. I was really reluctant and sad to leave our cat at home, but Stephanie put me at ease from the moment I met her! We have been using City Kitter Sitter for almost 3 years now. As parents of two senior pets, our family consistently has unexpected medical treatments that pop up. Ruth and her team have not only been able to handle every single medical treatment that has come up (even with as little as 48 hours notice!!), but the team has even identified and handled medical concerns before they turned life-threatening in instances where we have been gone for longer periods of time. This is an exceptional team of highly qualified care-takers, many of which work in veterinary hospitals around Denver and have a wide-network in the area if any emergency comes up. We could not have asked for a more trustworthy or kind group of people to care for our family while the parents are out of the house :) read more

Ruth and her team at City Kitty are the best. We have used them multiple times and have never had any problems. Our fur family of 3 always seem well taken care of regardless of if was a short weekend trip or a long voyage. We have used in home cat sitters in several cities and I have to say that Ruth and her team is the best we have ever used. They are nothing but professional and clearly animal lovers. It is also nice to know that Ruth is a certified Vet Tech. We had a cat with health problems who sadly past away late last year, but we never felt guilty about leaving home since we knew trained professionals were looking after his needs. Absolutely love Ruth and the City Kitty Team. read more

We love City Kitty Sitters. I have used them for a few years now and they are wonderful with our kitty Olaf. We have used them for their 30/45 minute kitty check and litter change. Their website is very user friendly and there are there to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. I highly recommend them. read more

We came home to a very sick cat. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what caused the illness, but we would have appreciated better communication from our sitter who cleaned up a carpet stain and must have known something was off. Came home to carpet stains throughout the place, with no idea anything was wrong until then. If pets get sick , please let the owners know! read more

Used City Kitty 3 times. The last time I came home to an empty water bowl. When I reached out I was told it must have evaporated overnight. Ummmm no! Your cat sitter forgot to fill the bowl. Not worth the premium price - you are better off finding a more personal service that actually cares about your pets and will make sure they are taken care of. "You had one job" and you didn't do it. read more

I am giving 2 stars as an average. If I had to rate my most recent experience, it would be 1 star. The first time I used City Kitty Sitter, I thought it was great. Ruth gave me updates and even left a cute Halloween bag of candy. I was impressed. Since then, I have been much less impressed. My most recent experience was very disappointing. I signed up for services online. When doing so, I was able to select the times I wanted someone to come to take care of my cat and I received a confirmation email that it was approved. I asked for someone to come Friday evening, Saturday mid-afternoon, and Sunday between 10am-12pm since I was returning home Sunday evening. I arrived home around 6pm on Sunday to an open ziploc bag of poop and pee scooped from the litter box in my living room (thus, my apartment smelled like poo). My cat had only been fed one time, so I'm assuming someone had only been there one out of three times. I know this because I specifically asked for her to get 2/3 of wet food (in fridge) on Friday, 2/3 of an unopened can on Saturday, and 1/3 on Sunday. The unopened can was still on the counter, so she had only had 2/3 of a can of food in the whole time I was away. I was pretty pissed about that. I also noticed my bedroom closet doors were open, when I purposely closed them when I left. Just thought that was weird. I immediately called the City Kitty number and left a message and also emailed Ruth. Within 15 minutes, Lisa (?) was walking in my front door. When I questioned why someone wasn't there hours earlier, she said she had truck trouble. I told her that I would like a refund for Sunday since no one fed or gave my cat water (she arrived after I was already home and did it myself). She said she would tell Ruth. I inquired, "Was anyone in my bedroom closet? I noticed the doors were open and just thought that was weird". She got defensive and said no, then left. About an hour later, I received a call from Ruth. Instead of asking my side of the story, she began with, "I just talked to Lisa and she said you accused her of stealing clothes from your closet. I think you need to find a new kitty sitter, etc.". Whoa! Great business owner sense. :/ I quickly told her that I said NOTHING about stealing or about clothes. I just inquired because I thought it was strange. That's all. My bigger concern was about my cat not being fed as asked and about being charged for a service I didn't receive. Long story short, she said she would mail my key back and a refund for Sunday. A few days ago, I received my key via certified mail, but no refund. I'm pretty disappointed. My pets have always been family to me and are my kids. When I have to be gone, I trust people to take good care of them. It's frustrating when that doesn't happen and it's also frustrating that a business owner wouldn't do the right thing...admit her team member didn't complete a service and refund my money. read more

I found City Kitty Sitter when I realized flying with my cat Reza was far too expensive for a short trip. Luckily City Kitty Sitter was able to schedule me and Reza in with a sitter for my 8 day trip. There was some confusion for me with how to use the only calendar / profile the first time around, but Stacey was able to clarify via email (then phone just to make sure!) after I didn't get the invoice price I first expected. Rez had 30 minute-a-day visits (required) to make sure he was fed, played with, and taken care of! I received two pictures & updates during my trip to keep me at ease. They were actually surprisingly really good photos of him, close up (which I can't usually get!). My sitter was Alba, she was really sweet and able to arrange picking up keys & getting to know the location of things flexibly. She reported how Rez was doing on days I requested and when I had to text her every now and then about details I forgot to mention or questions I had she was highly responsive & very kind. I look forward continuing having a trusted sitter for when I have to be away from my cat baby. ! :) read more
