I had a terrible experience with this company, and I would NEVER hire them again. I booked them weeks in advance. Lindsey and Tony came over for the meet and greet, and I told them all of the instructions and also said I would have them written down for them when they came back for the visits. I confirmed with Lindsey on both of the 2 days before she was supposed to visit. She assured me that she would be there on time and that she would text me and let me know how my dog was doing when she got there. I woke up (in Wisconsin visiting family), and I didn't have a text from her. I tried to text her. I tried to call her. No answer.
I then called Tony to tell him the situation, and he assured me he would head over to my house right away. (About 15 minutes later I found out that he somehow didn't have my address, despite multiple emails back and forth and the paperwork I had to fill out).
Lindsey finally called me back and said "I went by the house I just forgot to text you, and i felt bad because I was only able to stay 30 mins with the dog, so I was going to go back." She said that she "forgot she had a meeting." Yeah, right!
1. The visits were only supposed to be 30 mins, and I could tell she was lying.
2. She "forgot" she had a meeting, after this had been booked weeks in advance, and confirmed multiple times, even the the day before her visit? Yeah right.
3. I told her in a text message the day before that I left a copy of the written instructions on my desk, along with a small gift for her.
4. When she told me she had gone to the house, I said that I didn't believe her. I then asked her, "ok, if you've been to my house, what did I leave you on the instructions." She then replied that she never read the instructions so she didn't know. Well, her gift was sitting on top of the instructions on my desk in the living room. Impossible to miss. I told her if she had actually been to my house, she would know that. I then told her that she was fired.
5. I called Tony back to tell him, thinking he was on the way to my house. At that point, he told me he didn't even have my address! He was not even apologetic!
6. Tony said he would take over the visits. After his first visit, he sent me an update telling me that my dog was fine and that he gave her a piece of cheese treat and "hoped that was ok." I the told him that WAS NOT ok, because as I told him in the meet and greet, my dog has issues with her pancreas and is on a very special diet and special food. I also told him, "it's really not very hard to follow the instructions that I left." Which he clearly had NOT even bothered to read.
7. The instructions were straightforward - come to the house at these times. Let the dog hang out in the fenced in backyard for 30 mins, and make sure her food bowl and both water bowls are full each visit. My dog is 14 years old and doesn't even need to be walked.
This company couldn't handle the most simple visits for a few days. I was worried sick about my dog.
8. Tony doesn't even have a phone that works well. When I called him, I couldn't hear him at all. His phone kept breaking up. He can't even send a picture message via text.
I would NEVER EVER hire this company again. I cannot believe it has so many good reviews on Yelp. I highly recommend that you DO NOT hire this company either, unless you want to go through the stress and anguish I did when I was away.
I normally don't take the time to write many Yelp reviews, because I don't want to be a 'complainer.' However, I'm appalled that they dropped the ball like this - this is a living animal! Are you serious?
I'm pretty sure he didn't even fire Lindsey. read more
