I love coming to this Color Me Mine location. Out of all the locations I have been to, Porter Ranch has made me feel the most at home. (And I live less than 10 min from another location but will always choose Porter Ranch) Staff has always been so friendly and accommodating every visit. Shout out to Jillian and Aldo for being so kind and making me feel as though I am not just a customer but a friend too. Porter Ranch location is tucked away in this little plaza so parking is a breeze and it's away from the hustle and bustle of LA traffic and what not. Color Me Mine is one of my favorite things to do whenever I have a day off and it's such a pleasure to be able to relax and paint to my heart's content. Let your imagination run wild and choose all the colors you can, it's truly the best part!

My little nieces: chose their own pieces - cupcake and ice cream cone

It's fun, relaxing, therapeutic but can get little bit expensive (if you have 3 nieces) pleasure. I love painting and I guess I gave that trait to my little ones. We love coming to Color Me Mine in special days, like birthdays, graduations, or when they are staying with me and we're on their best behavior. We came to this location for the first time. It's nice and friendly, with lots of cute ceramic figurines to choose from. So we chose a cup, cupcake, ice cream cone and yes I chose a heart shaped box and come up with my design I wish they had glittery paint too though. And finally, today we got our pieces back, all dolled up and shiny. Can't actually wait to go back again and come up with something new. Strongly recommend to people who actually enjoy painting or just love creative activities

Made an appointment day of and luckily they had a spot available for two on a Saturday ! The workers there were kind and helpful. We were there for like two hours just painting away. This was my first time since elementary school, I forgot how fun this was ! The pieces were ready to be picked up little less than a week and looked awesome !

I came here with my friend and we both absolutely loved it ! It is such a nice place to hang out in and paint without being rushed. We didn't set an appointment, however, the employee allowed us to do a walk-in and helped us set up. What I loved is that the employees make you feel welcome and thoroughly explain to you where to get the paint/brushes and how many coats of paint is recommended. It was a very fun and relaxing experience which was enhanced by the background Disney music that we could sing along to. Overall, I would definitely recommend going here :)

Please don't throw away my ish for this review! Lol

I vowed the last time I was here in 2015 that I would never come back. My friend took her two daughters here on Mother's Day so all women there got a red rose (awww!) and free sitting fee. What was meant to be a 2 hour duration lasted nearly 5 because one of the kids wanted to make her mug extra special so I kept adding coat after coat after coat... I said I'd never go again after that lol. Was sick of mugs so I opted for something small and functional. I settled on a small cupcake thing to hold my q-tips Fast forward to this year when someone I love dearly wants to go. So what the hell. It's 4 people so they have a promo beginning November 1 for $5 sitting fee each person, which negates need for the 50% off yelp like on Facebook. We came in 5:30ish on Thursday and they closed at 8pm, which gave us plenty of time. 1 week for pick up and they notify via phone call, you have 1 month to pick it up. Not sure what happens if you don't in that 1 month window but we surmise it may end up on a Walmart store shelf for sale No alcohol allowed (meh, fine. This ain't paint night). If I didn't know kids who wanna do this I probably wouldn't ever go, but everyone should try it at least once in their life. You may be pleasantly surprised.

So much fun! My 5 year old daughter absolutely loved it. It took around 5 days to receive our pieces and we are so happy with the results. The ladies were so nice and helpful! Definitely recommend.

Ehhhhh I wasn't impressed with this place at all. I feel they are overpriced and the way they handled my stuff after it was done sucked. I will provide a picture also. Anyhow I found this place through Amazon Local Deals, it was $30 for $15 so I took my son here, we walked in and I was pleasantly surprised, everything looked so nice and just fun. The girls helped us and told us we can choose whatever we want and showed us to the color paints. I feel they just rushed us and didn't really give us a chance to understand everything it was just a quick okay sit here pick your item and pick your paints there were several brushes and also sponges, I didn't know what sponge or brush to use for certain things. In addition, how some colors don't show up on what, etc. Well first off they are expensive it's $6.00 for children and $10.00 for adults ant that doesn't include the price of the item. The price of the item ranges from $6.00 I think and up. We ended up going with a $16.00 item, my son enjoyed painting and making a mess and I appreciate that they let him enjoy and didn't stop it from coloring the table but there was paper to protect it. My biggest tiff is just prices I feel that the cost to paint is pretty steep it should be a flat $5.00 fee plus the item you choose, $10.00 for an adult is too expensive. So what sucked is that for my amazon deal my item was $16.00 plus the $6.00 fee for my son well I still had $8.00 credit left they told me that I wouldn't get the money back I can either choose something else and pay the difference, well I didn't really want to paint again because my son was over it and I didn't want to have to choose antoher expensive item the cheapest I saw was a $10.00 vase so I just ended up passing. I saw that they had a RUSH order for $5.00 more so I ended up adding that to my order which still left me with a credit which ended up getting forfeited which sucked. All in all this seems like a fun place but overpriced. Also, the handling of my item this is a gift for my Dad from my son they wrapped the plate in paper however they put it in a bag which was all crumpled and ripped. Really?? Come on people. They could have placed the plate a certain way so it wouldn't rip the bag now I can't give that to someone. (see picture)

The finished product !

I've always wanted to try Colour Me Mine since I first saw a location a few years ago. I had heard they can be pricy, but a while ago Groupon had a deal which I decided to purchase. Even with the Groupon I still spent approximately $45 in store - so it's a treat, something I would do once and a while with my girlfriends and not so often. Staff was very friendly. We walked in (on a very busy day!) and were able to snag the last table. The workers were very nice and explained the paint to us (layer it for best results, water erases your mistakes..). Kris and I had tons of fun painting! One thing that surprised me was the amount of time it takes to get your piece after you submit it. I thought it would be a next day thing, turns out the turnaround time is about 7 days! That's one thing to keep in mind. Overall I did have fun here, thinking some drinks next door at TGI-Fridays would be a fun pregamer next time!

This place is very therapeutic. I love crafts, painting, sculpting, and art. This place is very fun for creative people. They generally have a studio fee of $10 but sometimes they have a VIP card that they give you that will waive the studio fee for a whole month. You also have to pay for the pieces that you pick aside from the studio fee. The prices can range from $10-$50. It's fun. Just give it a try.

My 9 year old daughter's handiwork. A Christmas gift hand painted for her Nana.

The prices are not reasonable whatsoever. Buying your own pottery and paint kit from Michaels is more cost effective and fun overall.

The studio has a really wonderful, creative energy that I looked forward to every week. It served as a great 'sensory reset' and a way to focus purely on the tactile experience of the clay. Particularly seeing other members body of work. My only minor wish for the future would be a bit more shelf space for student projects! As I got more into the flow of creating, I found myself wishing there was more room to store work-in-progress pieces between sessions. Each purchase of a course provides access to membership hours where you can come in practice before the classes. They provide the base tools in a black case and if you need more clay it's $25. That being said, the quality of instruction and the community more than make up for it. I'm so happy with the projects I made and I'd definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a new creative outlet! As a note there's a waiting list to become a member after completing the course. So don't hesitate!

Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be a great experience. * No blank pottery to paint - Everything available already had printed designs on it. We were hoping to paint our own plates, cups, or bowls, but there were no plain pieces available. * Very limited selection - The inventory felt small. We were told a party of 20 was coming in, and it seemed like the blank items might have been saved for them. * Unhelpful service - When we asked about options, the staff didn't seem very helpful or friendly. * Pricing - There's a $10 studio fee per painter, and many of the stamped platters were around $42 more, which felt expensive for items that were already pre-designed. Since there was nothing blank to paint, we ended up leaving without doing the activity. DONT WAST YOUR TIME. We took a pottery class with Biana at the end of September/early October 2025…read more At first, she seemed kind and personable, and the initial class itself was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the experience after the class was very disappointing due to a lack of professionalism and communication. It took a long time and multiple attempts to reach her to schedule glazing. After we completed glazing, I reached out again on December 17, 2025, to follow up about picking up our pottery. I received no response--no call, no text--until today, January 14, 2026. When she finally responded this morning, she asked whether we had even done our glazing, which was frustrating given the long delay. I attempted to call to arrange picking up my pottery, even in its unfinished state, but was told she was closing her shop and that I would need to reach back later in the evening. When I expressed my concerns about how long this process had taken and the lack of communication, I was met with dismissive comments and was even told that I was being "dramatic." This was especially upsetting, as communication was prompt at the beginning when payment was required. Due to the ongoing delays and poor communication, I no longer wish to retrieve my pottery. I am writing this review to share my experience so others are aware before booking. I also noticed another review describing similar issues, and I wish I had read it beforehand. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this studio. Sign up with Clay and Play instead!

There was no mention of any limit on group size or that she wouldn't be able to accommodate us again as a group. I reached out on 10/25 to schedule glazing and never received a reply. She finally responded almost a month later -- only to tell us we now need to come back in groups of just 1-4 people. This change was never communicated upfront and is completely different from the private group experience we originally booked. What's especially frustrating is that she was extremely quick to book us and take payment up front, but now that she already has the money, she won't even respond -- not to me, and not to the rest of my group who reached out separately. We're not asking for a refund; we already completed our session on 9/28. We just expected timely communication and the ability to finish our pieces the same way we started: together. The lack of communication, long delays, and sudden change in expectations made this experience disappointing and inconvenient. I hope the business becomes more transparent and responsive for future customers.

ARTime BARRO is part pottery studio, part community space, and is a relaxing, chill place where you can unleash the creativity you thought was dead, where your artistic spirit gets to come out to play, if only for just a little bit of time in this crazy world. On a recent weekend, I had the opportunity to take the One-Time Class, which is a one-hour course designed for complete beginners. You get to make two pieces, one by hand at the table and one on the pottery wheel. The class size was small (just 5 people) and we got great 1:1 instruction and guidance from our knowledgeable instructor Max. I've always wanted to try the wheel and was surprised how hard it was to use it but it was such a great experience that I think everyone should try at least once. After you sculpt your pieces, you are invited to come back to hand paint (glaze) your work at no additional cost. You can also have them do a one-color glaze for you, but after I saw all the multi-colored pieces of other folks previous to me, it was no contest to decide that I wanted to color my pieces myself. You have up to 3 months to come back to glaze so it's very doable in anyone's busy LA (corporate) lifestyle. Pricing was very reasonable for such a cool bespoke experience. There are a lot of pottery painting studios (e.g. Color Me Mine) but this is awesome bc you get to make the pottery AND color it later! I've already recommended this place to countless people!

Our instructor was friendly and gave clear directions on how to mold our pieces. We each made 2 pieces, so the one hour really flew by. We had the option to come back to glaze our pieces or have the studio glaze them for us, and opted for the latter. There's a small lot behind the building, but it was full when I went. It wasn't difficult to find free street parking on a Sunday evening in this area. The pottery pieces could use a bit of extra care in handling (my wheel-thrown piece had rough edges and a random piece stuck on that wasn't there initially, and the glazing didn't look thorough on my other piece), but overall I was happy with my pieces. This was a fun experience, and worth the value!
