You can even order online for in-store pickup, or bring in an unstuffed plush so that you can get the full Build-A-Bear experience. The prices vary depending on the plush, with some being more affordable than others. Usually the collaborations with different brands are more expensive. It's a great experience for all ages. I recently brought my mom in so that she could build her own bear, and the staff was super friendly and engaging. Great Build a Bear location! We wanted to take our daughter to build her first bear for her 2nd birthday. If you join the club, they can build a bear for the cost of their age. So this was only $2. The staff was nice and the lady doing the bear walked us through the process of choosing the items that go into the bear and how to blow it up. But she didn't tell us we could go through the other steps of choosing clothes, naming the bear, etc. So we just waited in line to pay. When I discovered the other options the line got bigger. This our Birthday Bear tradition, where the price of the bear matches the child's birthday age. "Pay your age" We have fun here every time. You get to choose from a variety of stuffed animals to stuff and dress up. You can even add scents, recordings, to make each bear unique. Plus, they throw in a free heart that our daughter loves to choose. The Birthday Bear is the only one you "Pay your age". The stuffing process is also fun, with a staff member guiding us to the large stuffing machine. The staff member always has a fun script as they stuff the bear together. Once the bear is plump and cuddly, and the perfect size we then create a birth certificate and decide on the perfect name. I came in for a limited edition build a bear and accessory. Unfortunately they were sold out in store, but I could order through them online for free shipping. I went up to the register to pay for my unstuffed bear and the motive to buy the limited edition accessory that WAS AVAILABLE and CONFIRMED available when I tried purchasing it before stuffing the animal. The women at the register said I must stuff it first, even after I insisted I purchase it beforehand. I stopped by this Build a Bear last night to look for a bear I can get my nephew for his graduation. I saw a particular bear that was on sale but it said this Northridge location doesn't have all the attires so I can to see if I could swap certain items. The staff are very friendly especially with kids so your kids will have a good time here. I let my wife create her own custom bear when we first started dating and also my niece for her birthday here before. They have a decent selection of bears and accessories to choose from. I took my daughter here for her third birthday and it was the best experience ever! The entire staff was so friendly and helpful. They made the experience magical and my daughter had so much fun! Honestly worst customer service , we brought our 1 year old here for a birthday bear which should be $1 we couldn't do the birthday bundle because all they had was hot pink cupcake as the accessories, and they couldn't do anything to give us something for a boy as we have a son so all we got was a shirt and pants which everything came out to $25 and some change not to mention as soon as we started the process some young kid was helping someone else and but they had to go and get some extra items and while the other person waited with the guy she said please help them first and he said "no they can wait " and started having a personal conversation with her I'm holding a 1 year old mind you and then some young girl with pink hair helped us stuff the bear she had no personality very monotoned no smile at all like if you don't like your job or working with kids don't work there or ruin there experience. My daughters wanted both of the new releases but unfortunately we could only find 1 of them. She has the My Little Ponies (all 3), Hello Kitty(s), a unicorn, a turkey, a regular cat, and I forgot what else. I accidently donated a wiener dog of hers and she was so upset. Of course, they don't sell those in stores anymore. Maybe online? Who knows, I haven't even checked. I'm hoping she'll forget all about it. I would've given 5 stars because the staff minus Brandy were all very friendly and wonderful with the kids during my niece's birthday party this morning. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a birthday bear stuffed for my 3 year old son because Brandy said that it would disrupt the party. She mentioned that we had to wait until the party was over. We don't live close and had to drive an HOUR to get here. My son was already getting tired and hungry so we weren't able to stay and wait in the line to get the bear stuffed after the party. I had no clue and showed up on the 12th at 9am and the line was already outside. Being a sensible person, I decided to leave. There was no way that many people would be able to make it in in a day. I am signed up for the bonus club and for the month of your child's birthday they have a promotional pay your age birthday bear (only). They lady to attend to us at the door and the stuffing of the bear process her name was Lesley, very sweet and attentive. After the stuffing Fernanda checked us out and she was great! My son is very "high-energy" and she helped direct his attention as he was getting a little overwhelmed. By far the best customer service I have received here. Highly recommend! Brought my 4 year old son to pick out a new friend. He built an adorable Batman Bear with batman sounds and I picked out a cute rabbit and did a personalized recording of my son saying "Mama, I love you." I will cherish this toy forever because it has immortalized my precious little one's voice! Justin was absolutely wonderful during our experience. It was a busy Saturday evening but Justin took his time with us and let us record the sound about 20 times until we got it just right! (Tip: it gets loud in the store, he suggested we go in the quiet corridor next door and I took a video of my son saying "Mama, I love you." and then we played the video into the sound recorder!) We also had to try to time it to avoid the noises in the store (filling up the bears, kids talking nearby, etc.) Justin was so incredibly patient and never rushed it. He knew I wanted the recording to be perfect because, like I said, this is something I am going to cherish forever.... or until the battery dies :) We ended up buying cute outfits and of course the special bear creating ceremony is very special too. This is a small store. It's been a while since I've been to one of these shops. So I am not sure if it's the norm to not have the activity stations it had before. I used to go to the Hollywood/Highland and Glendale Galleria stores years back and those stores where great, they had a lot of activity stations for the kids to use after selecting their bear. My daughter REALLY wanted to come here for her bday so we came tonight. She picked out her bear, gave it a heartbeat, made it smell like cotton candy, gave it a voice box, dressed it, wrote up a birth certificate and took loads of pictures. My daughter was super excited about it and loved the fact that she was apart of the whole experience of making her bear. She loves the show "Paw Patrol" so she wanted to make one for her special day. My mom and my daughter had to drop, Ginger, her bunny off to see if she could be fixed. Our dog had gotten a hold of her and chewed part of her face off. While there the staff also had to re-stitch another doll of hers and re-stuffed a different one. They took them all and fixed them. Ginger had to be sent away to bear hospital and were told it would take 10-12 weeks, but they could fix her. The staff let my daughter kiss and hug her bear goodbye and told her they would take super special care of her. Last week when we were on vacation I got a message from the store that she was ready. It was done in 2 weeks! Then they called the next day to make sure we had the message. We picked her up last weekend and my daughter was beyond thrilled. Took the kids to this workshop they have been bugging about getting some build a bears.. so I figured with school out and they did a really good job this school year I would treat them.. what I thought was going to be such a hassle, having them choose what they wanted and all the other things that have to be done.
