Clothing and accessories for your stuffed animals
Marcus L.

We have been a regular at this Build-A-Bear Workshop for years, ever since my daughter was born, she's 4 years old now. This our Birthday Bear tradition, where the price of the bear matches the child's birthday age. "Pay your age" We have fun here every time. You get to choose from a variety of stuffed animals to stuff and dress up. You can even add scents, recordings, to make each bear unique. Plus, they throw in a free heart that our daughter loves to choose. The Birthday Bear is the only one you "Pay your age". The stuffing process is also fun, with a staff member guiding us to the large stuffing machine. The staff member always has a fun script as they stuff the bear together. Once the bear is plump and cuddly, and the perfect size we then create a birth certificate and decide on the perfect name. The store also sells clothes, shoes, and accessories for any bear or stuffed animals you purchase. It makes for a fun bday experience, and a great personalized gift every time. And did I mention the incredible deal with the Birthday Bear, matching the child's birthday age? "Pay your age" It's a tradition we'll cherish. See you next year!

I stopped by this Build a Bear last night to look for a bear I can get my nephew for his graduation. I saw a particular bear that was on sale but it said this Northridge location doesn't have all the attires so I can to see if I could swap certain items. The staff are very friendly especially with kids so your kids will have a good time here. I let my wife create her own custom bear when we first started dating and also my niece for her birthday here before. They have a decent selection of bears and accessories to choose from. It can get pricy so just be alert with all the accessories you get.

I took my daughter here for her third birthday and it was the best experience ever! The entire staff was so friendly and helpful. They made the experience magical and my daughter had so much fun! On your birthday they have a birthday bear where you pay the price of the age you turn. My daughter had the best experience for $3!! We did buy an outfit but it was still a great price. You get to print a birth certificate for the best and name the bear. I hope she wants to come back every year and build a bear! I had fun doing this with her.

Words cannot express how amazing the staff here at Build a Bear Nothridge are. Starting from Brandy their store manager to all the associates (Aliya, Lizi), they brought human touch in the form of attentive listening, active participation in answering all of my daughter's questions and most importantly taking the time to listen to and make amends for a bad experience I had through the online site/ customer service center ( which really wasn't a reflection on them) but Aliya immediately called Brandy the store manager over who went above and beyond her call of duty to represent the true heart behind Build-A-Bear. We are forever grateful and have been deeply touched by everyone at this location.

I've never purchased a build-a-bear. We came today to take advantage of the birthday offer: $1.00 for every year of age is your cost (during birthday month). So we took my 2-year-old grandson. Yep, it's true! The same quality, same ceremony, birthday-themed teddy bear was only $2. The staff treated us as well as other customers paying full retail. I highly recommend going here for your birthday kid. Will most likely return for other special occasions. Bravo

This company is a disgrace and I can only hope they will go out of business!! Such a shady way of doing business. They have a special going on today, it's been advertised for a while. The special is that the price of the bear you built will be equal to how old you child is. We registered for this a while back and picked the store. After getting off work and picking up my child we drove all the way to Northridge, CA just to find out that the store is CLOSED TODAY. Wow. So many angry and furious customers in front of the store. This is definitely a company we will never ever purchase anything from again. Wish I could give them a 0.

For my daughter's 6th birthday, I booked the ultimate package with the Northridge Build a Bear for party of 6 kids. Andrea was our party host and the girls all had a blast. Although Build a Bear doesn't have a party room, it was a nice way for the girls to get together and have fun. Knowing that, we took the girls to CPK pre-build a Bear and ate lunch/cake there. It all worked out great. Highly recommend it if you are thinking of having a party with Build a Bear. TIP: Buy gift cards from Costco. It will save you money :)

Experience: Amenities:…read more Service: My nieces (4 yo and 8 months) were visiting for break and we were looking for some local expository things to do with them. My older loves animals, insects, and other non-human creatures so this place seemed perfect. We had been many years ago with our littles and they distinctly remember a giraffe so we figured their cousins would enjoy the experience too. We arrived at around 11 am on a Monday morning and found parking relatively easy- I think we were one of two families there which made it easy. There is a very small parking lot just outside the entrance and street parking. We entered through a really fun gift shop and made our way in. They have many exhibits of foxes, monkeys, birds, reptiles, and other small-to-medium sized animals to learn about. Each exhibit provided a learning display. We made our way through the "center" in just under two hours- really taking out time at each exhibit. Wr only noticed a couple of other families with littles as well, making it super easy to move through. While we say snakes foxes parrots and more, we don't see the giraffe . We did learn while we were there though that the giraffe was just visiting as it was being trained by the nextdoor business for television!!! Apparently that's a thing. Love L.A.! Ideal place for little kids! They have space for private parties, benches to enjoy a packed lunch (byobag situation), and a theater-education space where I believe they have events/activities, although we didn't see any. Pro-tip: sister purchase tickets on Groupon and saved money

Look around before booking - there are a ton of cleaner, cuter options. Not worth it for the tiny space, super awkward seating / table seating for adults (cramped to the back with zero view of the kids) and serious lack of play options. Ghost town; rarely any kids there for open play. Tiny ball pit has like 3 balls, it's all floor, an injury waiting to happen. And randomly, they have large pieces of VR equipment that take up an enormous amount of space. They sit there with DO NOT TOUCH signs collecting dust - gaudy and oddly out of place against a young children's atmosphere. Management and front desk are dispirited and dead-eyed, probably due to overhead and lack of business even after their so-called "remodeling". But definitely not the type of energy you'd want kids around either. Unfortunately, cost comes no where close to reflecting the value provided. Customer is charged extra to make up for their empty tables.

They truly went above and beyond with our themed decorations, and it made the party feel extra special. From setup to cleanup, everything was handled seamlessly, which as parents is a huge win. We were told we had to pay $15 per adult just to come inside and watch him cut his cake. We explicitly told the front desk we would only be there for 10 to 15 minutes just to see him, not to use the facilities, but they didn't care. To make matters worse, their own website states that 2 adults are included per child. My daughter-in-law was there alone with my sister, so the rule should have applied, but they claimed it "didn't count" and forced us to pay anyway. Regina at the front desk was incredibly rude, dismissive, and showed zero customer service or flexibility for a toddler's birthday party. Forcing family members to shell out money just to watch a 15-minute cake cutting is a greedy, horrible way to run a business. Save your money and take your kids somewhere that actually values their customers.

The studio has a really wonderful, creative energy that I looked forward to every week. It served as a great 'sensory reset' and a way to focus purely on the tactile experience of the clay. Particularly seeing other members body of work. My only minor wish for the future would be a bit more shelf space for student projects! As I got more into the flow of creating, I found myself wishing there was more room to store work-in-progress pieces between sessions. Each purchase of a course provides access to membership hours where you can come in practice before the classes. They provide the base tools in a black case and if you need more clay it's $25. That being said, the quality of instruction and the community more than make up for it. I'm so happy with the projects I made and I'd definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a new creative outlet! As a note there's a waiting list to become a member after completing the course. So don't hesitate!

The place on the whole isn't that big, which isn't a terrible thing. We came here on a weeknight and it was pretty chill! There was one little girl who was having her birthday here but it was still open for other kids to play. It's always a good idea to call before you come though to check! A lot of the indoor playgrounds I have been to all seem very similar, but it was nice to see some very different slides and activities here! The tube slide was AWESOME, I just wish there was a way to get the tubes easily up the stairs or back up the ramp so mom's and dad's wouldn't have to schlep them up there. I was SWEATING because of course my son wanted to go again and again! Everything was clean and in relatively good condition. I liked that they had some dress up items for the kiddos. Though it is a more narrow space, there was plenty of space for the kids to climb and explore. I did not love that they had arcade games in the back, specifically one with giant machine guns. Is that appropriate for a children's indoor playground? I brought my kid here to go on slides and bounce on a trampoline, not shoot aliens with a giant machine gun. The whole place is so cute with animals hanging from the ceiling and murals on the walls but the video games take away from that cute and innocent aesthetic. Food for thought for management!
