Absolutely great customer service! I called yesterday about an hour before closing, to find a costume for my son to wear to a party. The man who answered the phone put me on hold while he checked to see if he had the costume, and he did not have it. He offered me a suggestion on how to put one together with things that I had from home as well as purchasing a wig. Imagine my surprise, when just two minutes later, he calls back and let me know that he has a costume that would work. He took his time to describe the costume in detail, since it is not the one that I wanted originally and then left it at the counter, so I could easily pick it up if we had decided to purchase it. Went earlier today after having dinner at Kopan ramen in the same shopping center. Got there at exactly 5pm when this rude guy (don't know if he was the manager) rudely asked my boyfriend and I what we needed in such a bad tone, I told him we were just going to look around. Two young guys, absolutely rude will great you at the door. Avoid this place if you can. After my kids stood in line for 20 minutes and got in, I parked my car and tried to join them in store. The two boys up front (who I regret not remembering their names) wouldn't let me in because it would be unfair to the rest of the people who were in line. Really!! I repeatedly told them that the kids had already been in line. But neither one cared to hear me out. There are many other places you can get much better service than these guys offer. Went in not knowing what exactly I was looking for my son and I and left very happy on what we got. Linda is such a doll and had so many creative ideas. She was such a big help. We finally decided on a dinosaur costume for my 17 month old son and an explorer costume for myself. Only downer that they didn't have the costume for me but she told me exactly what I can get at a regular department store to look like one. I did get the hat though. This place is great. Okay. How do I start? I came here for my last minute shopping, on my lunch break on Halloween day. I get to the parking lot and someone is directing traffic and telling people where to park. That's was so awesome and helpful! I get inside the store and grab what I needed. There was only one line in the middle of the store -- where costume are and where people are trying to look over your personal space area. While in line I was able to browse, and notice the prices were slightly high. My turn to pay for my $4 item (hair color spray). Took more than 10 mins to get to a cashier. I came in here last week on a day where it was 90 degrees outside hoping that it would be nice & cool inside the store i shortly realized that they did not have the A.C on and it felt even more humid inside the store. I asked the lady at the counter why they didn't have the AC on and she informed me that it was broken the problem I have is that I come back a week later to pick up some more small items I needed & to my surprise on a day where it's 100 degrees outside there was still no AC at this store making it very uncomfortable to shop. I've been here three times over the past few months. During my first visit, it was kinda hot and stuffy inside which made it a little uncomfortable just to be there. They didn't have much in stock and the sales associate told me to come back in a few weeks as they were still receiving shipments. A few weeks later I returned and purchased a costume I needed for an event, which I ended up seeing for a lower price at another costume shop. Customer service wasn't bad during either visit, you asked a question and they answered it. However, on my most recent visit, there were three employees in store who seemed more interested to talk to each other rather than the customers. I also overheard them talking negatively about a customer. Not cool at all. I think I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

They only have ONE fitting room! So having to wait is a pain. On top of that the fitting room smelled like crap in there plus, it doesn't have a door just a curtain. There's an employee standing right next to the fitting room but it still feels uncomfortable with just having a curtain when you're changing which you can see through from the inside. read more

They have a pretty large store with all sorts of outfits and accessories for any kind of costume party you need. The price is fairly reasonable. I thought it was a little bit expensive at first until I went over to Party City and realized that Halloween Adventure is quite a bit cheaper. The lady who owns the store is nice. I was looking for a bunch of random items to complete my monopoly character outfit. She was very helpful in looking for a hat, a cane, and a mustache. I would have spent hours there searching if she didn't help me. The store doesn't allow for returns or exchanges. It wouldn't surprise me if this store actually increases the prices of the outfits the closer it gets to Halloween just to take advantage of the desperate last minute shopper. After a fairly stressful day at work and three failed attempts to find any of the Halloween stores that I'd made a note of post-internet search...I was finally calling quits, when off of the 78 I spotted a huge Halloween sign. But only a week ago did I find out I needed a costume for my fiance's work event this weekend. Did I mention that I just drove down from Sacramento Sunday in my teeny little car to start a new job on Monday? Thank goodness I'm off to Vegas tomorrow. So I saunter into this place and am feeling hopeful given the size of this place thinking "they must have something in here; I can't leave without something because I fly out tomorrow after work." This was it - last stop before being the official party pooper in the group. I must say that out of all of the seasonal Halloween places I've been to over the years this was the first time it was actually enjoyable. The staff was super friendly and provided amazing service! None of that 'this is my temporary job so F off" attitude here. They didn't have a huge selection of the theme I needed to shop for (seemingly everything else though) but I found something that will work and that's all that really matters. I was mostly satisfied with merchandise; I just wished they sold the cheap-y boots (for my actual costume) because I don't want to go back to the crappy Spirit store to give them money. We all have fun going to the Halloween stores during Halloween season but rarely do you find a Halloween store that is open year round! This is one of those rare exceptions and boy do they have a lot of items stocked. The cool thing is that you can start your Halloween shopping early so that you avoid all of the lines during Halloween season (September/October). They have everything from inside decorations, outside decorations, masks, costumes, props, makeup, and more. I love this costume shop! I came here last Halloween and since then, I have come in for various holidays. They carry so many things- I am really impressed with their selection, and how organized it is. I was even here for a last minute accessory for my husband, the night before Halloween; it was a madhouse but they had staff working like mad to keep things sane, help customers, organize, and get people checked out quickly. They were so friendly and I was impressed they knew where every little thing was! I ended up coming back for a Thanksgiving Hat a few weeks later (and bought more than that!) and then again for Christmas costume pieces (gotta have that Santa beard for the Christmas party!) Each time I come in, they are so kind and eager to help. They also didn't mind that I was trying the hats and beards on and sending pics to my friend for her advice. I really appreciate this.
