WOW! This is our new happy place. My daughter absolutely loves her new gymnastics home. The owners are professional, respectful and kind as are the other families! The coaches are all committed and really care about the gymnasts they train. This gymnastics center is a dream come true for kids! My daughters (SISTERS AGED 7& 8) have been going to Matrix Gym for almost a year now. This gym is wonderful! They always have a lot of fun in class! Rosemary and the coaches are so sweet and accommodating. After seeing a review that is completely false, I had to write a Truthful review. My daughters were bullied by an older girl who was about 11 or 12 at the time and I made sure to inform the coaches and owners and they were extremely helpful. They do not ignore any gymnast or parents! What they will do is be honest and if your child is a bully they will inform you! My daughters are very strong and continued to ignore this child although she encouraged other team mates to exclude my daughters and be mean to my daughters. Matrix staff handled the situation with care and love. They spoke with all the girls involved and the parents. I am extremely pleased with how the staff takes care of issues with gymnasts. The gym is kept very clean and is nice and spacious. Even after the covid hiatus the gym is in tip top shape and my girls have been super excited to return! We are also definitely glad that the girl is gone !! Thanks Matrix for being awesome! read more

My family just moved to this area and need to find a new gym for my 5 year old daughter. She was timid at first with a new gym and all but the coaches made it very safe and fun for her. The owners and staff ignored my complaints of bullying. After 3 months of me talking to them, nothing being done, talking to them again and still nothing is done. They then say my daughter is the problem... These bullying sisters (it started with one sister bullying, then the other sister joined in) were a known problem. I was told by a staff member that one sister is known to act like that. They have talked to their mom before. They will talk to her again. In the end, they did nothing but blame the victim. I had concerns about my daughters coach, those were dismissed. I was told I was trying to tell them how to run the class. No no! My concerns were valid. I showed them proof. All was ignored. I do not recommend this gym! My daughter wasn't the only one to be victimize or shamed. Which I didn't get into... It's just another reason we left. Many girls have left Matrix recently and most of them landed at the same gym. Which is a plus! read more

Matrix gymnastics has been my daughter's second home for the last 5 years. She has grown to be an amazing gymnast with stellar coaching and structure from all coaches and staff at the gym. Both my girls have been attending here for a few months now and we loveeee this place! Ownership is great! Coaches care, communicate well with the kids and truly work with them to improve their skills. Make-up classes are easy to schedule. Waiting room is spacious, the gym is HUGE with excellent equipment. My girls enjoy each class. The fellow students and parents are also a pleasure here. Honestly just good vibes all around and my daughters have significantly improved as well in a short period of time. There are frequent assessments of the children and their progress which is awesome. Staff communicates when students are ready to move up to the next level. Very efficiently run programs and we are hapoy to be apart of the Matrix family!! read more

My daughter went to summer camp and also took lessons here. She improved her coordination pretty quickly. We wished we had started her with Coach Dennis sooner. He truly is a dedicated teacher who is amazing at teaching kids who want to learn. read more

We finally left this gym and we are better for it. When selecting a gym I believe it is crucial to take a better look at management practices and how they treat their coaches. A lot of back stabbing, gossiping, etc from the management to the coaches. I was told of an email sent by the owner discussing the "awful" performance of some of the younger team athletes. This is absolutely disgusting to know how the management feels about their gymnasts. Take a closer look at the coaches and their relationship with the gym leadership before enrolling your kids. Especially when thinking about team gymnastics. read more

My daughter is really enjoying her time here. Her coach is very sweet and patient (we are in toddler class) and my daughter can't wait to come every week. My only irritation is the fact that their WiFi doesn't work. I'm a working mother and not being able to work remotely is very frustrating. read more

Our daughter attended this gym for almost 3 years. While the parents, other athletes and one coach in particular (Kata) were all great, the management and leadership of this gym was hugely disappointing (to say the least). Poor communication, intense paranoia, unhealthy competitiveness with other gyms and a general lack of professionalism led us to go to another club (Paramount, which we have been absolutely THRILLED with!!). Our daughter has received more instruction, been more inspired and has rediscovered her passion for the sport, which, unfortunately, she began to lose at Matrix. Would love to see Matrix excel because the gymnasts there are passionate and wonderful people, but I don't see that happening. There is no nurturing going on at Matrix because of the management. In response to Matrix's reply below, it is so sad (yet completely typical) that they asked a 9 year old girl to leave the gym in the middle of practice - without either of her parents present - because she expressed her feelings to another gymnast that she was unhappy and was thinking about possibly going elsewhere. read more

This is my daughters second home. She is here 25 hours a week and even though some days may be more trying than others she loves it here. She even asks to come back for fun when she isn't training. The staff at Matrix is a great one. They are dedicated coaches who look after the kids and make sure they are safe while training and having fun at the same. The group of parents that are at Matrix are a fun, high energy, and committed bunch that want the best for the kids at the gym. I also have a child in a recreational class and he loves it. He also asks to go on the days he doesn't have class. I should just move my family in! :) No gym is perfect, but this one comes pretty close to it! Had a terrible experience when I first gave this gym a chance a year ago. I originally waited in the lobby for a trial of a toddler class that was heavily advertised, yet cancelled with no notice. There were no office staff present when I got there and the phones were ringing off the hook. Everyone was located inside the gym - I now realize this was their summer camp. About 15-20 minutes after waiting to be acknowledged by anyone, they dismissed the kids to go to eat their lunches and the staff walked in, right past me, not giving the slightest acknowledgement that I was there waiting with my antsy 2 year old. They went into their office, one got on the phone and started talking to her boyfriend and the other two were talking loudly to each other over the sound of chip bags rustling. I had to walk over and ask them if anyone worked there and knew about the class. They didn't offer an apology until they realized I wrote a facebook review, and offered another trial class. Great! Except they scheduled me another trial with 5 year old girls - no way was my toddler going to keep up with girls 3x her size! I was then told that I would be contacted when they had a class more appropriate for her age range. 1.5 years later, I decide that my toddler is now older, more physically capable, and perhaps rather than waiting for a call that something was available for her, I'd reach out and try to schedule her. Scroll around and you will see another user posted under a fake name for fear of being shown animosity, I guess I should have done the same because THEY HAD US FLAGGED!! Rosemarie came on the phone and told me that because I wrote a 1 star review on facebook and hadn't taken it down, they were going to exercise their California State Right to Refuse Service. She asked repeatedly why I wanted to come back although I had explained that several times (daughter is older, they are close-by) and said she doesn't want "Secret Shoppers" who are going to be writing reviews. That sounds like she doesn't want honest opinions online. To top it off, when asked to give me her name at the end of the call, she REFUSED to! Luckily hubby had caught it earlier on as I happened to have her on speaker... Extremely unprofessional people who could not be less interested in the quality of service they provide. Any business manager or owner in their right mind would jump at an opportunity to rectify a previous negative experience, especially one reviewed online. Now my reviews will be visible much longer than the 2 years you were upset about my initial review being on facebook for. I'm pretty shocked that a grown woman and business manager could hold a grudge and show animosity toward customers, and turn them away for such reasons. read more

My 6 year old daughter just joined this gym a month ago as a Level 3 team member, and we are so pleased so far. The owner is the head coach, and is on the floor ALL the time, and works with and cares about ALL of the girls, from the first level to the highest level. The team coaching staff works well together and with the girls (and there is no turnover), and my daughter has learned so much since the day she arrived. A dance teacher works with the team, and the gym pays attention to detail, like scheduling individual/team pics, organizing team yearbooks, getting competition leos on time, etc. The booster club seems committed and full of great ideas. Clean facility, good equipment, good attitudes and positive coaching. We are stoked to be here, investing in our daughter's gym career. read more
