I have nothing but good things to say about TEMPEST. My kids have attended some classes and parties in the past, but we attended the Valley location recently for my son's 15th birthday party. Not only did they accommodate me quickly, the party was a blast and big success! The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the coaches were amazing. The front staff was also very friendly. Space is clean with an area for sitting and eating. Overall, two thumbs up and highly recommend!

Big cuz about to help little cuz rise up the ranks at Tempest.

Tempest is a great place for young ones to learn, practice and perfect his/her parkour swag. (Although, to be honest, every time we've been, only boys working out here.) Classes for different ages/levels are limited in size, so students mostly get individualized attention and time to work on the various foundational, and then progressively complex, repertoire of parkour moves and tricks. Be forewarned they will nickel and dime you for every single thing: every session, open gym, advancement tests, wrist bands, etc., etc. Okay, already. Surprised they're not more discriminate about their background music, which is pulsating and beat-driven, keeps the kids moving, and most of which is fine. But not all of it is age-appropriate; there are young kids and parents here, too, so they should weed out and not impose on anyone the few inappropriate selections promoting explicitly misogynistic or criminal themes and incredibly foul language. Why work their bodies, then befoul their young, impressionable minds? Overall, Tempest offers a great service, is a hugely popular and renowned facility, but this is definitely business. It's not personal. And, yeah, we get that.

This is the ultimate location for parkour and freerunning in the entire United States! This place has been designed and built by some of the nation's best freerunners and traceurs for one purpose, an indoor parkour/freerunning training ground accessible for practitioners of all skill levels. The variety of obstacles is insane, even the most experienced freerunning can spend hours here just deciding on what to try next. Some of the highlights of what is actually in the Academy: 1. Ninja Warrior warped wall 2. Olympic style trampoline 3. gymnastic spring floor 4. MASSIVE FOAM PIT (with 3 main entry points: trampoline, lache bar, and raised platform) 5. Jungle gym with varying distances between lache bars 6. Brazilian Inspired slant wall 7. Brazilian Inspired low walls of varying height 8. Adjacent slant walls 9. Super Mario Bros. 1-1 (sorry no goombas "beginner area") 10. Much more At the time of this writing there are scheduled Open Gym times as well as Academy classes. Mon-Thurs: 7:30PM-11:00PM 18+ open gym (16 and up w/ parent present) Cost: $7 Fridays: 6:00PM-9:00PM 17 and under Monitored open gym w/ parent present (Someone will be making sure the kids are being safe) Cost: $10 Classes are taught weekly and consist of 3 levels of difficult, I believe that you have to be invited to the higher difficulty classes. Level 1 is basic parkour, Level 2 is basic freerunning, Level 3 is Advanced Freerunning. Classes cost $80/Month for 1 class per week (so about $20 per class). On a personal note I found that all of the guys on Team Tempest are super friendly and down to earth and are some of the most skilled athletes to practice the art. If you are someone who wants to get into the sport and are not comfortable practicing outside on concrete, this is a great place to go. I am rather novice in freerunning and was able to attend their very first open gym, I think I was one of the only non-Pros that day, never once did any of them make me feel like I got in their way. Also, its totally worth it to just go and watch some of the Pros do their moves. I give this place 10 stars because it exceeded my expectations, but yelp only lets me give them 5 stars. Well earned.

Today at the parkour facility, Tempest.

Clean, well equipped and free parking. My 11 year old son loved it. We did go to the wrong location listed on Yelp and wasted about an hour of our day. One would think they would have been more accommodating to us when we arrived at the actual facility. The very sweet front desk lady have my boy a handful of stickers which seemed to make it all good. Located next to Space X and Tesla. Cool.

I do not/did not participate but I have gone to watch my husband and I must say I am impressed ... Saw a bit of the kids open gym and was really impressed with the way all the kids were encouraging eachother and the way the parents were supporting their kids and other children there. Watching my husbands class and open gym I saw the same thing ..everyone there is really encouraging and friendly ...it is a great atmosphere. Warning it is a gym and def has the gym smell sometimes but I grew up with that and it is a gym soooo it is what it is. I really enjoyed watching and it made me kind of want to try and I really want to do the foam put soooo maybe I'll do an open gym...maybe :) I also love the Mario Brothers theme and the colors in the building Again I haven't taken a class ...I've only observed and from that I really like what I have seen :) today they had testing and to see the coaches talking to the kids who didn't pass was also impressive they really took time to encourage the kids and talk about what this was and wasn't and that it wasn't a failure they will learn more and do more etc ....really impressed with their approach and how encouraging and supportive everyone was there

One of the coolest place for a birthday party.

I would be cautious about sending your child. We have had plenty of friends still send their kids after our experience and it was ok, but I wouldn't want to take the chance!

The sports segment provided the kids with junk food like rice crispy treats and chips - free of cost, and unbeknownst to parents. This program is a glamorized babysitting facility with middle schoolers as camp counselors and mediocre staff in the classrooms. My son expressed that two different adult "teachers" were unkind toward him, and that is something a child should NEVER experience, let alone the hands-off afterschool babysitting club style environment that they have established.

The studio has a really wonderful, creative energy that I looked forward to every week. It served as a great 'sensory reset' and a way to focus purely on the tactile experience of the clay. Particularly seeing other members body of work. My only minor wish for the future would be a bit more shelf space for student projects! As I got more into the flow of creating, I found myself wishing there was more room to store work-in-progress pieces between sessions. Each purchase of a course provides access to membership hours where you can come in practice before the classes. They provide the base tools in a black case and if you need more clay it's $25. That being said, the quality of instruction and the community more than make up for it. I'm so happy with the projects I made and I'd definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a new creative outlet! As a note there's a waiting list to become a member after completing the course. So don't hesitate!

5-Star Review We…read morehosted my sons' birthdays (Lion & Bash) at Juke Training Facility this past Saturday, November 8th, and it honestly couldn't have been better. The entire experience was amazing from start to finish. The facility itself is top-notch--clean, spacious, and perfectly set up for kids to run, play, and have the best time. But what really made the day unforgettable were the coaches. They brought so much energy, patience, and excitement to the party. They kept all the kids engaged, entertained, and smiling the whole time. Our boys had an absolute blast, and all the parents were impressed with how smoothly everything ran. If you're looking for an incredible place to host a kids' birthday or just want a high-quality training environment, Juke is the place. Highly recommend them!

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for us, and I feel people should know to be cautious when booking. I reached out inquiring about two possible dates for my son's birthday. The owner requested a deposit immediately and texted me a confirmation -- but it had the wrong date. I replied right away to correct it, only to be told he "doesn't use the phone for communication," even though that's how he sent the confirmation in the first place. I even called back within minutes (Zelle has daily limits so I could only send part of the deposit at first), and he assured me verbally not to worry and that no new confirmation was needed once the remainder was paid. I paid the rest 1.5 months before the event, called two weeks prior to check in, and he again confirmed that "if you paid, you're booked." A week before, I called to adjust the time. Still confirmed. Day of the party, I texted asking if we could bring TVs to watch the World Series -- he calls back and says he has no idea what I'm talking about and claims my booking was for a totally different day and time. Kids, families, and food were already lined up to celebrate. Complete scramble. No accountability. No offer to fix it. Instead we were told we wouldn't be getting our money back. We ended up relocating the entire party last minute to another venue. I'm not writing this to be spiteful -- things happen -- but the way this was handled was incredibly unprofessional. If you book here, get everything in writing, double confirm dates, and don't rely on verbal assurances. The inconsistency, lack of responsibility, and unwillingness to acknowledge the mistake is what made this experience so disappointing. Oh and guess what? I even sent him more $$ to add on a bouncer week of! Still haven't seen 1 dollar back.
