The best experience Took the beginner's course and it was so much fun. The instructor was very personable, patient and helpful and she helped and I ended up making a little vase. It can get quite messy so l highly recommend wearing comfy clothes, hair tied back, no rings on fingers or any jewelry on the wrists and closed toe shoes. The instructor takes photos of you during the class so don't worry about trying to take photos.

I glazed my pieces so that they are ready for firing. She has a wide variety of colors to choose from!

I highly recommend this place! I signed up for a one time class with a friend and then we both decided to sign up for monthly classes. We were both hooked early on! I try to attend studio hours at least once a week to use the wheel, fine tune my pieces and to glaze. I find it so therapeutic and it's a safe space to be creative and make friends! Additionally, the owner is so friendly, creative, helpful, patient and knowledgeable!

Amazing night at Bee Art Studio making new friends and lovin' on old. We hand built clay pieces and I am so proud of my "love bowl"! Treat yourself and play with clay. You won't regret it.

Had the most amazing experience at Bee Art Studio on Monday! I had the day off and just the day before had the idea of taking my mom and twin 10 year old boys for a pottery class. We are beginners. I called around and most places had limited scheduled classes or required you to sign up for a package upfront. Biaina answered the phone and was so pleasant and accomodated and scheduled a private class for us. She was so warm and welcoming that we all had such a great time. We can't wait to be back!

The studio has a really wonderful, creative energy that I looked forward to every week. It served as a great 'sensory reset' and a way to focus purely on the tactile experience of the clay. Particularly seeing other members body of work. My only minor wish for the future would be a bit more shelf space for student projects! As I got more into the flow of creating, I found myself wishing there was more room to store work-in-progress pieces between sessions. Each purchase of a course provides access to membership hours where you can come in practice before the classes. They provide the base tools in a black case and if you need more clay it's $25. That being said, the quality of instruction and the community more than make up for it. I'm so happy with the projects I made and I'd definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a new creative outlet! As a note there's a waiting list to become a member after completing the course. So don't hesitate!

Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be a great experience. * No blank pottery to paint - Everything available already had printed designs on it. We were hoping to paint our own plates, cups, or bowls, but there were no plain pieces available. * Very limited selection - The inventory felt small. We were told a party of 20 was coming in, and it seemed like the blank items might have been saved for them. * Unhelpful service - When we asked about options, the staff didn't seem very helpful or friendly. * Pricing - There's a $10 studio fee per painter, and many of the stamped platters were around $42 more, which felt expensive for items that were already pre-designed. Since there was nothing blank to paint, we ended up leaving without doing the activity. We were hoping to try something different from Color Me Mine, but unfortunately this visit didn't work out for us. We're going to Color Me Mine.

ARTime BARRO is part pottery studio, part community space, and is a relaxing, chill place where you can unleash the creativity you thought was dead, where your artistic spirit gets to come out to play, if only for just a little bit of time in this crazy world. On a recent weekend, I had the opportunity to take the One-Time Class, which is a one-hour course designed for complete beginners. You get to make two pieces, one by hand at the table and one on the pottery wheel. The class size was small (just 5 people) and we got great 1:1 instruction and guidance from our knowledgeable instructor Max. I've always wanted to try the wheel and was surprised how hard it was to use it but it was such a great experience that I think everyone should try at least once. After you sculpt your pieces, you are invited to come back to hand paint (glaze) your work at no additional cost. You can also have them do a one-color glaze for you, but after I saw all the multi-colored pieces of other folks previous to me, it was no contest to decide that I wanted to color my pieces myself. You have up to 3 months to come back to glaze so it's very doable in anyone's busy LA (corporate) lifestyle. Pricing was very reasonable for such a cool bespoke experience. There are a lot of pottery painting studios (e.g. Color Me Mine) but this is awesome bc you get to make the pottery AND color it later! I've already recommended this place to countless people!

Our instructor was friendly and gave clear directions on how to mold our pieces. We each made 2 pieces, so the one hour really flew by. We had the option to come back to glaze our pieces or have the studio glaze them for us, and opted for the latter. There's a small lot behind the building, but it was full when I went. It wasn't difficult to find free street parking on a Sunday evening in this area. The pottery pieces could use a bit of extra care in handling (my wheel-thrown piece had rough edges and a random piece stuck on that wasn't there initially, and the glazing didn't look thorough on my other piece), but overall I was happy with my pieces. This was a fun experience, and worth the value!
