I am very surprised that I enjoy Willy's Pizza because they do everything that I normally don't like: thick crust, too much cheese, and the most sacrilegious thing of all, toppings under the cheese!! However, for inscrutable reasons, I like the pizza at Willy's, lol. I was super hungry and learned that I would be unexpectedly having dinner by myself that evening. I was in the area, and wanted something quick to take home, so decided to try Willy's Pizza, which I had never tried before. I walked in and ask if they had any walk-in specials, and was advised that they did not. I perused the menu, and saw that they had a "Tropical Chicken" pizza with chicken, pineapples and bacon. I asked if I could substitute broccoli for the bacon and the guy said it was no problem. I got a small and it was $12.75. The wait was a bit long, maybe 30 minutes or more, but they were pretty busy, it was a Friday evening. The pizza smelled so good on my drive home! And it tasted just as good. The crust was thick, but crispy on the outside with a nice chew to it in the middle. Not soggy at all. The chicken was cut into tiny cubes, the pineapples were canned and were the small pieces (not the big rings). Broccoli pieces were also small, and really soft, but not mushy. I don't know man, I like my broccoli al dente, my pineapples fresh, and my chicken in big strips, but for some reason I liked the pizza and thought it was delicious. I can't explain it. Four stars from me. I don't even know how, lol. Willy's has 6 locations in Ottawa. This location is in a strip mall. Same strip mall as Sip Tea, and the Barley Mow. Lots of free parking in the shared parking lot.

I enjoyed the Wild Boar pizza with hot honey dipping sauce and a local craft beer (Pilsner). It was so delicious. I've never had wild boar and I was extremely impressed with what these pizza masters did with it! Food: Fun, new, delicious and excellent/authentic presentation Atmosphere: warm, inviting and a vibrant feeling of complete acceptance Service: wonderful, professional, attentive and passionate about their craft I rate this restaurant 5-stars and it is well earned. I will definitely be returning and telling everyone about it. Personal note: being a man that deals with anxiety in crowds I don't usually go to too many places as I get overwhelmed. There were roughly 12 other diners which I thought would be too much. However, the young woman who served me was so very kind and personable that she alone made me feel safe and comfortable. She began a small conversation with me (because I was sitting barside) and I immediately felt welcomed and my anxiety was gone. She is the first stranger to ever make me feel this way. I won't put her name online but I want to say thank you to the blue eyed, dark haired absolutely stunning both inside and out young woman. I thought she was the owner but I was wrong. She seemed so in tune with her associates and the clientele. I fear that when I go next time I may just have to propose to her. lol. Thank you Tennessy Willems. You are definitely the best restaurant in Ottawa!

I quickly looked over their menu and noticed something called the Bronson's Special ("Mushrooms, bacon, green peppers, onions, olives, tomatoes, and pepperoni"). You can't go wrong with that assortment of toppings, so we were off and running. It arrived remarkably fast and was still piping hot when I grabbed the box from our delivery person. I should also note that it felt like possibly the heaviest pizza I've ever held in my hands, which isn't surprising given how loaded it was with cheese and its various toppings. It's a good pizza. I think maybe they went a little too crazy with the toppings and cheese, but everything is so delicious and worked so well together that it wasn't really an issue. I suppose my one complaint is that it was a little light on the sauce, as I could've used some more of it to cut through the richness of the cheese and other ingredients. It's not difficult to see why Bronson Pizza has been around for almost five decades. They make a quality pie.

I hadn't been here for many years but had frequented it back in the 90s and early 2000s when the original owners Bud And Rita owned it. It was great back in those days. Today was an absolute shock, disappointment and somewhat disgrace on part of the ownership who were not in the store. When I walked in to the take out restaurant, the pizza slices were sitting pre sliced in the warmer on the counter, they didn't really look appealing however it was 12:30 and I was hungry. The young lady opened the glass door and proceeded to cut the slice in half which was out of my sight. after doing so she collected my $6 dollars and slid me half a slice of cold pizza across the counter. I waited momentarily for the other half but after asking about it, I was told that the pizza slices in the window are actually 2 slices. This is a large pizza cut in to 6 slices then cut again in half . That's 12 slices at $6 each. That's $72 for a large pepperoni pizza. Finding this out was a shock. I actually only took this piece of cold pizza in order to show folks just how criminal this business is. This is the $6 pizza slice and this is my dog eating it. BTW I did taste it, and it was absolutely awful. This business owner should be ashamed. Never again.

Although the pizza was really small, like a personal size pizza. I love that in addition to regular toppings that all pizza shops have like pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, etc. they have more cool toppings like chicken, broccoli and artichokes, which are the 3 toppings that I got on my pizza. Both the quantity and quality of the toppings were good. They do put the toppings mostly under the cheese, which is not my preference, but it was still ok. The crust was thicker than I like, and a bit doughy under the toppings, but around the edges it was surprisingly crispy and delicious. Service wasn't rude, but not the friendliest. The place is super small, so it's literally just takeout. They sell some pizza by the slice too, although varieties are limited. It's $4.99 for a slice, a dipping sauce, a bag of chips, and a can of pop. The slices are pretty big, like almost as big as my "small" pizza. The pizza shop is in a strip mall with lots of free parking.
