Local to the area, Colonial Grille is my go to for some homemade breakfast! Everything breakfast is awesome! I normally go for the skillet or a breakfast combo! Staff is so sweet and the prices are very affordable!

This restaurant is located on Main Street of the cutest little town I think I've ever seen. I was just driving through and felt the need to stop because it looked so adorable from the outside. I ordered food to go so I can't say much for the interior of the restaurant other than there was only one table occupied in the entire place, which I thought was a little weird. The inside looked a bit outdated but it has a "family restaurant" vibe that kind of fits with it. The exterior of the building is much more inviting than the inside. As for the food, I was definitely disappointed. I ordered the special for that day, which was meatloaf. When I opened the box, it didn't look much like meatloaf at all. I tried it anyway and it tasted like cardboard. I ordered 2 sides with it-- potatoes and cole slaw, both of which were decent. Two of the apps they had as part of their daily special were zucchini strips and potato skins. The zucchini strips were soaked in grease and not crispy at all. The potato skins looked like they had been cooked an hour too long because they were so burnt. Neither tasted like good quality food one should be able to get at a restaurant. The only thing keeping me from giving this place one star is how kind and helpful the employees were. When I walked in, I was helped immediately and the girl was so nice. As I looked around, all the employees were smiling and just looked like they loved working there. It made me glad I was supporting a local business but the quality of food made me never want to return.

A local establishment in downtown Irwin that has so great classic foods. Service is good too, very friendly staff with reasonable prices.

Had the best Reuben sandwich. The meat was plentiful and tender. The sauerkraut was flavorful. Very taste treat.

Just before Christmas I went to dinner with my family at Rodney's in Irwin. We went on a Monday…read morejust after 6 pm. It was busy but we were seated right away. Our server was great! The portions here are huge and hearty! You get a lot of bang for your buck. What we ordered: -Stuffed Banana Peppers - these were HUGE and were really tasty! Definitely found a new fav appetizer -Fettucine du-Marie alfredo with jumbo tiger shrimp & scallops - I have to admit that I have not had an alfredo that is better than my homemade sauce, BUT this still hit the spot. The seafood portions were generous. -Side Caesar salad (comes with the pasta dish) - really big portion for a side salad which was nice! I liked that they added hard boiled eggs. Pretty good for a side salad. -Winter lemon drop cocktail - refreshing! Love a lemon drop -Complementary bread - yummy & loved that it was toasted -Pork chop & fried jumbo shrimp - my family's orders. I tried one of the fried shrimp and it was good! -Not pictured but my dad got the black angus strip - he ordered it rare but said it was a little overcooked. He said it was just good. He is a steak snob though. Overall this is a good spot for a solid meal if you find yourself in Irwin!

Let's start with the fried portobello mushrooms--they are absolutely out of this world. Perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. Honestly, they're worth the trip alone. The portions at Rodney's are no joke either. The club sandwich is huge--stacked high, fresh, and exactly what a great club should be. And the Italian sandwich? Completely packed. Every bite is bold, hearty, and overflowing with classic Italian deli flavors. The atmosphere is a charming blend of an elevated restaurant and a cozy diner--comfortable, unpretentious, and welcoming in the best way. The staff is friendly and relaxed... maybe a bit too relaxed at times, but honestly, that's part of the charm. It never took away from the experience; if anything, it made the meal feel even more easygoing and enjoyable. Rodney's is one of those reliable hometown staples where you know you're going to get a great meal, generous portions, and a laid-back vibe. A true Irwin favorite.
