Purchasing my wife's car here was just an average experience. While the staff was friendly, they were not very engaging. It just didn't feel welcoming. But the one star isn't based off of that experience. Their service department is horrible. They overbook their appointments and forget walking in. They treat you like an idiot for not making an appointment. I should have known I would have problems from day one when we purchased the car and they didn't have anyone available to wash it before delivery. This was after sitting and waiting in the service area for more than an hour. That sounded strange to me because it was the middle of the day in the middle of the week. They asked me to come back another day and they would offer a complimentary wash. When we tried a few days later to get that done they were rude and dismissive like we were bothering them. The same when we tried to claim our complimentary oil change. My wife will not return there because of the way she was treated and goes all the way to Bob Wondries in Alhambra to get her car serviced, even though we live 3 minutes from Colley. Normally I service my car near my work, but that wasn't going to be possible this last time so I figured I would give Colley another shot with my Ford vehicle. Overbooked and unapologetic about it. I was super hesitant about coming in the first place after reading previous comments. After getting an online quote and getting told "I don't want to waste your time" (thought that was extremely thoughtful) , I was called and emailed continuously with them saying they could meet me where I wanted to be at with the purchase this week. I really wish we would have been helped by the first woman who approached us. She was so friendly and welcoming. We headed to the Internet sales department and from there, everything went down hill. Walked in today with hopes of leaving with a new car and an agreement with the payments and it was a waste of my time on my only day off this week. I would have never came had the gentleman on the phone never said he could get me where I wanted to be financially. The department manager just told us, I wish I could tell you I can do it, I would say just keep what you have... It's only 2 years old and 26,000 miles on it. Well, I didn't know I came to the dealership for advice. My time is just as valuable as my money and unfortunately I don't think I will be coming back here for a purchase or a service. I wouldn't even recommend it to anyone, I'm all for customer service and despite that a deal couldn't be made, I would have given 5 stars for great customer service if we received it. I purchased my car at what was considered new. However I found some things broken that I want fixed since if a car is sold as new it should not have anything broken when sold. I went this Saturday for my first oil change. When I made my appointment via my app, I listed the oil change as well as the things that need to be fixed. I was so mad to find out that even after confirming my appointment with the appointment lady. I was not told until I brought my car in that they only do oil changes on weekends and that and the other things mentioned, I would have to come back when the service technicians are available during the week. Im not sure how I can do that since I work full time and have school full time as well. I need my car and these things need to be fixed, however, I feel they make it difficult for people to do these things. If you buy a car from here, make sure you know that you have to be able to bring your car in on weekdays if you have other problems or issues besides oil changes. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from Colley a few days ago and it was a great experience. I had originally come in to talk about some details on another contract I had signed from another dealership for a vehicle I had recently purchased. Tyson Introduced himself and i expressed my concerns. As soon as I had told them what was going on, they sat me down with the Salesman Chris Chaffee. Chris is a very respectable and knowledgeable salesman with a good sense of humor also, there were no run around with him and the Colley ford team was able to get me financed at a better rate and with the same exact car i wanted within an hour. Being a First Time buyer and seeing the customer relationship and service they offered was amazing. The whole experience was amazing and would definitely recommend them! went to check out a ford focus. Not only was the price i was quoted inaccurate but the person who gave me the quote once i arrived at the dealership was rude. His name is Nick. He took me to his back office to give me the quote. Once I realized the price was significantly different I told him I would call him back if interested. He then made rude comments about how I wont find this car cheaper and made sure I knew that he worked at Galpin and knows they are trying to trick me. He didn't give me the print out of the quote (even though he printed it lol) and worst of all didn't show me the right way to exit so I was stuck figuring out on my own how to exit. Not only are their internet quotes inaccurate but the salesperson was rude. A recipe that I stay away from when purchasing a car. I ended up purchasing a better quality vehicle 2013 hyundai elantra for almost $1k less than what i was quoted on the ford focus. Ridiculous. read more

It is understandable why this dealership has a 2 star rating here. I just had the most awful customer service experience of my life when I turned in my Ford Fiesta which I bought new from them last January. My car overheated 10 days ago. The morning I sought out a dealership to fix my car since I was sure the warrantee would cover it but no one could even look at the car the 1st day. As a result, I took it to my own trusted mechanic who diagnosed it in 1 1/2 hours and told me the thermostat and fan motor had to be replaced. Cost, $494, so I had to go to the dealer and I chose Colley since I bought it from them. They diagnosed it as a temperature sensor problem and gave it back to me after 2 days. The next day it overheated again!!! I gave it back to them and it took them until Wednesday to figure out that my mechanic had been right all along. They still never admitted the thermostat is bad. My service rep had to be called every day for a status report. 2 times he promised to call me back and did not make good on his promise. Finally they finished there work after 8 days originally and the service rep glibly told me my car was ready with no apologies whatsoever. The only good treatment I received was when I complained to one of the owners and their head service manager. However, though polite, I was given no compensation and was told, "All we can say is we are sorry." Since I am a rideshare Uber driver, I lost around $700 at least in income plus paying a $100 deductible even though it was under warrantee. My opinion is stay clear of Colley Ford. read more

Service Dept experience since 2010 has been mixed. We were told we needed warranty work and they would arrange for us to get a rental car at Enterprise Glendora. We asked about an Enterprise closer to home they said it was too much hassle for Colley. We have been to Enterprise Glendora before (warranty work) and had a bad experience. We got to Enterprise...Colley had not called. Enterprise called them and had to leave a message for the service writer, Gary. No call, so I had to call them myself and got the service writer on the phone for authorization. We were then assured, after about 30 minutes, that a car would be ready in 10 minutes, and were assured it would have 5 seat belts. 30 minutes later the car they have for us is a Mustang. We were told that the contract with Colley requires them to give us a Ford and thats why it took so long. We told them to keep the car and walked out. My wife called Colley to make them aware of the way we were treated. They said it wasn't their (Colley's) fault. Gary, in Service was very polite, but it seems to me they have so much service business they can treat us however they want. We have 30 days left on the warranty. Shopped around for several weeks for a 2016 Ford F-150. Other dealers and sales people were flaky. I arrived at Colley Ford and bought a truck from Dave Silliker the next day. He treated me with respect and made the transaction easy. Price was competitive and fair. Since buying the truck, they have stood by their word on everything. Took our car to the service department well still under warranty. When my wife got there they try to convince her to take the car somewhere else because they were too busy. She also saw several other customers leave when they were told the same thing. It seems like they'd rather you take your car somewhere else because they do not want to be bothered with having to perform the services. Anyway we left the car there to get repaired for several items. Even though the car was still under warranty, they still tried to charge us for having it looked at. We had to go back and forth with the manager at the location which still got us nowhere. Our car was there for a week I asked to speak to the general manager and was told that he would call me back. Never heard back from him. Nothing but the runaround, terrible customer service and we will not be recommending this dealership to anybody. Colley ford you need to get your act together. If your dealership does not want to perform warranty work, then you should have a sign indicating such. Please dont have potential customers waste their time. Update: i just received a call from someone who identified themself as the General Manager - Mr B.J Colley who is apparently the owner. I explained our issue and concern but it seemed that he was not interested in hearing the truth and was basically upset over our Yelp review. Ultimately he told me that if i had a better relationship with another dealership then I should take my car their instead. This was because I had told him of our great experience over at advantage Ford in duarte. In a nutshell he did not seem to care. Mr Colley it is apparent that community relationships are not a priority at your dealership. You must not forget that it is those in the community that keep the success of your business going. You should pay attention to the feedback that is given to you and your dealership and work to improve those issues instead of being upset with the customer that brings this to your attention. There are several yelp reviews that mirror issues relating to customer service which should be a clue that there is a problem. I just picked up my car from there without the air conditioning system being serviced. Off to Advantage Ford. Have a great day. Hi Kim. In regards to your response, i don't believe that requesting warranty work while you car is still under warranty is unreasonable or demanding. We spend a significant amount of money buying a car and the warranty is part of what we pay for. It must be honored. Also, we did not sign the authorization because you wanted to charge us for looking at a defect that was still under warranty. This is inappropriate. Lastly and more importantly, your response only further supports what we said about our experience. Instead of trying to blame the customer (as you are doing in this instance) you neeed to take accountability for the actions or lack thereof of those working at your dealership. As previously mentioned, your dealership appears to have a pattern of similar complaints by others. This should tell you that there are some serious internal issues. Your continued arrogance and decisions to ignore your customers concerns will only continue to perpetuate the lack of trust in your dealership. As someone who previously worked for a company that prides itself on exquisite customer service as well as now working with multimillion dollar clients, my expectation of "good" customer service should be hard to meet right? It's not. I'm well aware that not everyone has had the training I have and (it's taking EVERYTHING in me not to cuss at the moment) because of that I believe that I am infinitely more understanding of slightly "bad" customer service, but for some odd reason the gentleman in the service department with the black hair - the one who is "new" and doesn't know where everything is on the computer..he also has the important sku's highlighted in pink..GREET YOUR GD CUSTOMERS!!!!! There is NOTHING more infuriating than someone clearly seeing you and blatantly ignoring you. This is the second time!!!!!!! I don't know if this is due in part to the fact that I'm a woman or if he just isn't that savvy with positions that require you to be customer facing but I will NEVER take my car back to this ford and you better believe that come December I'm going to Dodge for a new car because this is ridiculous!!!! Regardless of whether or not you're helping someone there are moments in which you are able to pause and look up and simply say "good morning; I will be with you in just a sec..." or "good morning; I'm with another customer but would you mind telling me how we can help you and I'll send for someone?" Only one star because I couldn't put zero. One of the worst experiences I have had servicing my car. I had a recall on my car for the dual clutch, so I took it in. Had a very difficult experience dealing with there customer service in setting up an appointment, was told it would take 3 or 4 days and wasn't offered a rental or reimbursement for the days I wouldn't have a car. It was a manufacturer problem, why should I be inconvenienced... so I took it in, had to get between school and my two jobs relying on friends giving me rides, 4 days later I was told it was done, I went to go pick it up. When I got there I wasn't told what was done, they handed me the keys without a word, with an empty tank of gas and dirtier than when I took it in. read more

Very disappointed! So I take in my truck 2006 F-350 Lariat 4x4 for an oil change. I receive a call about 2 1/2 hours later from the technician "bring it to my attention" that my truck suddenly doesn't want to fire up. I told them, "how did my truck drive up the ramp?" The technician says, "It started fine and now it doesn't want to start!" So in a stern voice I asked them to fix what they did; because obviously the technician had done something where my truck suddenly and magically doesn't want to start. Oh and we will run a diagnostic and we gonna have to charge you? Freakin really? So Diagnostic was performed and one of the two batteries got shot along with the alternator burning out. What the hell did you do to my truck?? I then told the dealership I will be calling AAA tow truck to haul my truck out from the dealership because at this point, as always, dealership(s) do not want to take responsibility! I took my truck to MY mechanic owner of RPM Truck N Auto (Powerstroke Diesel Master technician & Cummings) in San Diego to fix my problem the truck had. So, after hundreds close to $1k dollars later, repairs and towing, my truck would not start once again. So MY mechanic calls me and tells me, "Sir, the problem I believe is going to be no oil in the engine. I'm going to unplug the oil pan plug to see if there is oil". So, after unscrewing the plug not only there wasn't oil in the engine, there were 3 quarts of old oil that was in the engine! How the hell are you to forget to put 3 gallons of oil in my truck Colley Ford??! So it was determined that the 1 of 2 batteries and alternator burning out, the "Ford Technician" was trying to fire my truck up over and over and over and OVER making the 1 battery and alternator to burn out!! Soo that's why my truck won't start huh? And wants to freakin blame your customer that my truck is now broken!!! Screw you Colley Ford you broke my truck and did not want to take responsibility of your own actions!!! Do you have principals or morals??? Where are your ethics??! Oh wait and it gets better! After receiving my truck back from RPM truck n auto and running awesome, i drove back to Colley Ford and address the issue that was at hand to The Service manager. He turns me away "2" times in within 5 minutes and does not want to address the issue that is at hand! I hope whom ever is reading this does not have to experience what I experienced in this damn dealership! A $120 + tax oil change turned out to be a close to $1k oil change! First, avoid Ford models with CVT transmissions. CVT in model I own was subject to class action lawsuit 2012 and there have been recalls of other CVT's in different models since. Colley replaced CVT in my car last year to the tune of $6,700. Have had chronic leaking issues from bad seal where axle connects to CVT ever since. Colley says new CVT warranty only covers CVT housing, nothing beyond that. Although that may be technically true, the job was not done correctly and Colley should stand behind their work, which Mr. Leyva, Service Mgr. did not. Have driven 4 Fords since college however, I will never buy another Ford. Bought car from Advantage and wish they were closer to my house. For what it's worth, had a problem with my E brake 2 years ago, took it to Colley who quoted me $750 to replace entire 4 part system. Went to independent shop where they replaced the single broken part for under $250. Finally, having just spent $6,700 on new tranny, Colley didn't even have the courtesy to wash my car before returning it to me. Should have driven the few extra miles and gone to Advantage. read more

He kept me updated on the vehicles problem as they had to keep it for a couple of days. I felt very comfortable with this person. I went to Colley Ford, after being contacted by 3 different Ford dealers referred to me by my credit union. The first sales person to approach me, Christopher Alvarez, who happened to be the internet sales person that had been e-mailing me, was very friendly. Showed me a couple of vehicles I was interested in - Ford Ecosport & Escape, which was the one I had seen on their website. Went inside to work on numbers. I showed Christopher my pre-approved letter from credit union (for $50K, 1.99% int. rate). Still, he had me fill out an application for credit report & said it was standard procedure. Once sale was finalized, I went to speak w/finance manager Tyson Roberts. Again, I told Mr Roberts I will be financing w/my credit union. He assured me that Colley Ford worked directly w/my credit union, but they still had to draw up a purchase agreement listing FMCC as lienholder (w/an int rate of 5.99%) until I brought a check to them for the full amount. I agreed, since I wanted to take the car home that day. I was assured that my info would not be sold to 3rd parties & only a loan application with FMCC would be submitted, simply as a formality. Two weeks later, I start receiving a stack of letters from different banks, notifying me how sorry they were that my loan application for the Ford Escape at Colley Ford, could not be approved. I contacted Christopher A right away & he apologized, assuring me that the finance department would contact me right away. I was never contacted by anyone from Colley Ford, on the contrary, I had to call them. Spoke w/their general manager, who unfortunately, I was too upset to even ask for his name. After I explained to him what happened & asked that Colley Ford rectify the mistake by removing all those unwanted inquiries from my credit report. He kept telling me over & over how "sorry" he was about what happened, but nothing could be done. Their sales & finance staff members tried to get my vehicle financed through their banks, at any cost & didn't even care I was already pre-approved & wouldn't be financing with anyone other than my credit union. They knew they couldn't beat a 1.99%, but tried anyways. Now, I'm left with numerous inquiries on my credit report, inquiries that I NEVER ASKED FOR, which in turn lower my credit score tremendously. Shame on Colley Ford for not taking responsibility for the mistake of two employees, who obviously lack training or basically, they don't care about their customers. I will report this to Ford Motor & the 3 car buying agencies my credit union uses for their customers. Colley Ford should not be listed as a preferred dealer any more. read more

I love your service department !!!!! John Boyzileri In the service department is one of the kindest most understanding and sympathetic people I have ever met. Ford take note! He should teach a class on customer service! The vehicle I am about to talk about isn't just an old car it's my car !!! my first car this car has been better to me than most the people I know , trustworthy reliable and faithful !!! I ended up at the service department after I had taken my 01 ford to a local mechanic in Glendora. I had it towed there the day before Thanksgiving because it was stalling out when I was idling. I was told it would cost more to fix the car then the car was worth. And just to do the bare minimum of what was needed for the car to run safely would be over $1900! I had it towed to Colley Ford for a second opinion, and if it was truly in that bad of shape I could trade-it in on a vehicle. I was in tears Christmas is coming my budget is tight and now my car is broken down. Honestly , I don't know why I stopped taking cars that weren't under warranty into the dealership. They were so kind and so helpful and reassured me that they would get to the bottom of the issue with the car and give me a call when their service technician returned from his Thanksgiving vacation. It made me feel better knowing It was going to be handled and soon . And on a sidenote , you can finance repairs through Ford !!!! Needless to say the car only needed a repair to the fuel pump !!! it's running better than it has in years !!! all the other things that the other mechanic had said were wrong with it were bold faced lies. They changed the oil, and rotated the tires and fixed the problem for a fraction of what the other place had told me. They wanted to make sure that I wasn't stuck without a ride I could go on and on about how wonderful they were. Quit wasting your time at these rip off mechanics they are full of crap!!!! read more

I am so incredibly happy with the help I received at this dealership. Shalom is absolutely wonderful and has a fabulous personality! Charles and Lou were also there to help us as well. They were able to get us what we wanted in the budget we wanted to stay in. We we're really on the fence about leasing a car, and after about a week and 5 visits to the dealership we were able to hone in on the exact car for us, and we are super happy. They brought it in from another dealership and from the time we decided on what car we wanted and gave the okay it was a mere couple of hours before the car was in and ready for us. They dealt with me and my indecisiveness, and my three wild children who i had to drag along with me each time. Shalom was wonderful and hooked them up with some colors and papers to keep themselves occupied. I was also able to take an extended test drive with the model car i was looking to get, and Bless her heart, she came in on her day off so I didn't need to explain myself over again to someone new etc. She wanted to make this whole car shopping process comfortable, and it was. My husband works for a dealership so we know all the tricks salespeople can use. But not the crew here at Colley...they are GENUINELY nice people. Took my ford in since I was stuck with a dead battery down the street. They took it in and a few hours later I came back to retrieve my car. I paid the outrageous fees and proceeded to get my paperwork. The man stated that I have a bunch of issues with my new car I bought a little more than a year ago, air filters need to be replaced, need new tires, tails lights are out, nail in tire. I was shocked as I had just purchased the vehicle not too long ago but of course everything that needed to be done was out of warranty now. The part that made me very suspicious and weary of the practices at this dealership was the tail lights and air filters. I was told they had gone out and needed replacing and when they pulled the car up for pick up they were clearly out. I declined the offer of them replacing it so I can avoid their high markup, but later that day when I checked on the car myself at home, lights were perfectly fine and my filters were still clean (see through). Not sure what they did to my car but I don't appreciate the games and will not be going to any ford dealership for servicing as they all seem to have horrible issues with service/maintenance (especially this one). read more

Got a quote for a new F150 through my insuranc ecompany and called up Colley and they said they had the truck. We went down there and fell inlove with a different truck and they gave us the same awesome discounts without having to go get a new quote through the insurance company. It was no nonsense, which I appreciate. We did not buy the truck that day as we needed to sell our old car. As is typical, they don;t give you much for your trade in, so we took it to that other GIANT used car place that has all that figured out to a T, no names, but another review to follow for them. Came back the next day and bought my truck. I LOVE it. It is exactly what I wanted, no extra stuff I dont need or want. Ford really had got the F150 figured out and the internet sales team at Colley was great to work with. 2 small issues that dropped this review from 5 to 4 stars... The finance process is long, like so long. You would think that it would be a smooth process, but for some reason it took near 2 hours to do the loan stuff, even though we had preapproved financing, they wanted to get us a lower rate. Not sure if the 2 hours with fidgety children was worth the .015 drop in rate. Second, once the loan stuff was done we had to wait ANOTHER 2 hours, with same fidgety kids, and now at 10 at nihgt, to see the actual guy with the paperwork!!! What! I sort of feel like thye ought to train the loan approval guy to do the same job as the paperwork guy, then they could get people out of there faster. I would wager thats the bigest complaint at any car dealer. read more

We purchased a used 2012 Ford Focus for our daughter about one year ago. The car hesitated upon acceleration from the start. The dealer said it is normal for the dual clutch transmission on this make and model. Three days ago my daughter was about to get on the freeway and lost all power. Thank God she wasn't already on the freeway. After reading up on this vehicle I found out that hundreds of people are/have experienced the same problem with their vehicles. Ford has known about this problem for long before we purchased this car. Colley Ford sold it to me knowing it had a defective transmission, I took it into their service dept. after a few hours they said the car was ready and they reprogrammed the computer and it is running fine. I picked up the car and as soon as I left the lot the engine light went on again. I don't want this car. I have read complaint after complaint. It is not safe to drive. Colley Ford is deceitful and unethical....they knew about these problems and still had no problem taking my money. Would never do business with this company again!!! The sales manager Daniel Banda is awful. This dealership has no morals or values. Had to give them one star or would not let me post review. They don't deserve any stars at all!!!! read more

I called around to numerous dealerships looking for some main bolts we were needing for a rebuild. Everyone I spoke to at other dealerships didn't seem to have any knowledge of these parts and I wasn't comfortable buying from them. I am a fan, it is hard to give 5 stars. I want to be honest and if I give 4 or 5 stars then it still leaves others in the dark. THEY ARE GREAT however, they are always busy. Which is both a good and bad thing. It is a good thing that they have such a large customer base, this leaves me feeling like they are efficient and get the job done. However, with it being busy it leaves emergency situations to get shoved to the back or sent else where. Larry, Larry and John all provide amazing customer service. It is because they take care of their clients that we continue to return. Even with a bump in the road. But I have to say that this IS the better of the Dealerships in the area. They don't sell you more than you need, they don't pressure you to make purchases that are out of your budget. I will continue to come to Colley because I am a fan and I am taken care of here. Don't let a bad incident leave you feeling like this isn't the place to bring your vehicle. And if you feel your service wasn't what you wanted, I recommend calling because they will listen and they will provide a solution. read more

Bought my 2012 Ford Explorer from Colley. Faithfully came back every time, on time, for scheduled service. Learned at the 60,000 mile service that the air filter was never changed at the 30,000 mile service. Service Advisor Fiona showed me the air filter caked with dirt and dust, she herself coughing from the airborne particles. Never got and resolution from this oversight. Never got a good explanation. Never got any concessions, allowance, gift card, whatever. Nothing offered, except a "please don't ding us on the national survey". And obviously, no one there could estimate how much engine lifespan was affected by this mistake. I trusted Colley service. I was faithful, loyal. But now I can't trust them or their service techs or advisors. Twice now I've gotten oil changes, but noticed when I got home, the oil life light had not been Re-set. So how do I even know if they remembered to change the oil? Bill Henley is gone. Fiona gone. Kirkpatrick gone. John gone. Big grumpy Jim gone. High turnover. And existing Advisors freely talking about LF milking his medical leave. Terrible place! Lee Cook made the obligatory one call to me, but no satisfactory response was offered. read more
