    It's a bit awkward to have to be on here deleting a 5 star rating and now leaving a 1 star after using this company on 12-15 cars in the past 16 years. As well sending family and friends here. Never have I had an issue with any of my cars being worked on until now. As well have never had a bad experience with any of the workers, and or staff. This is all directly directed to a recent experience and management. I recently took my car in due to a scratch on the door and wanted to have it painted because I'm very picky with all my cars the way they look. aAter picking vehicle up I noticed some rattling in the door and contacted their office to have them take a look at it, I took the car back to the shop to have it checked, but the noise was not identified so I took the car home. The noise continues so I took it back to the shop a month later, and we both think the noise might be coming from the speaker. I was told to take it to the dealership. When taking the car to the dealership, the dealership open the panel and we noticed there was a couple brackets that were broken inside the panel. I know this is a newer car and the panel has never been taken off until the door Had to be fixed. So I took the car back to Avalon to show them the issue. I waited about 2 1/2 weeks to get a call back and them to tell me that management was willing to go half on getting the door panel replace. This mean I would have to pay for the other half which sounded very ridiculous. Being that I've never damaged my vehicle. That being said, I felt this was not handled correctly and after 16 years of working with Avalon, I have decided to cut ties with this collision center. Note: if this was broken prior to me taking my car in, it should have been noted by the workers, and I should have been notified! Or someone did it, and it was put back on not to be noticed. Makes me wonder!

    A huge Thank you to Andy Brandler and his amazing team at the Avalon Collision Center in Glendora. A car hit my Tahoe and I brought it into Avalon and was immediately greeted by the front desk with professional and kind employees. Avalon kept me in the loop the entire time while my Tahoe was being fixed. I was suppose to leave on vacation and I told Andy that I need to get my Tahoe back before I leave and he made it happen! I was able to get my Tahoe back before the estimated time of completion. My Tahoe looked new again and the rim looked new again! I was very impressed with the customer service from beginning to end and the great communication from the front desk! Thank you to everyone to everyone involved in getting my Tahoe back to new in a timely matter. You all did a great job and I appreciate you! Thank you Avalon Collision Center I am very happy.

    Do not trust your car to these people, they're ABSOLUTE CROOKS! Another driver hit me on the freeway, not bad, driver swerved into my lane and cracked my driver's side headlight and bruised up my bumper. I took it to Avalon, approved them to take apart my vehicle in order to assess the damage, and create an estimate with my insurance adjuster. Apparently there were some additional hidden damages to the frame and my adjuster deemed my vehicle a total loss. I went to Avalon, signed a release waiver allowing my vehicle to be towed to my insurance's property, and went to pick it up. When I got there, my car was absolutely destroyed. The people at Avalon completely took apart my vehicle and didn't both to put anything back together. When I saw it I was in shock, it looked nothing the way I dropped it off. I had a dent in my bumper and a cracked headlight, but they removed my bumper, my grill, both fenders, both headlights, and my side mirror. And what did they do with my disassembled car parts? They left them all inside my vehicle. On top of that, at some point they rolled down my drivers side window and my car must have died while they were operating, because instead of rolling it back up, they left my window down. When I retrieved my car from the tow yard in Riverside, my car was COMPLETELY full of dirt, leaves, and bugs. These people do not care about your property. It would have been simple to roll my window up before my car died or to even put in a tiny bit of extra effort and jump my car in order to roll my window back up. But they have zero regard for other people's property. I immediately called them to complain about my vehicle and the condition it was left in. I also complained to say that my side mirror which was removed by them were now missing and not returned with the car. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone said this "We're not responsible for any pieces from your car". REALLY!? I bring my car to your location to assess and repair and you then proceed to tell me that you're not responsible if the pieces you disassembled are now missing. I now have to pay $300+ for a new side mirror and installation at a new body shop because of these people's carelessness. There's zero respect or accountability from the people at Avalon. I DO NOT recommend.

I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.

    Our family's Ford Explorer required a water pump replacement…read more I visited several local auto shops to obtain quotes and was shocked, disappointed, and discouraged at the prices I was being quoted for the work my vehicle required ($5,000-$7,500) Shame on me for not reading Yelp reviews before wasting my time visiting other auto shops. I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. It's nice to see you can get quotes at the touch of a button on your phone. This morning, I had time off, so I headed in to get my service done. I did not have an appointment and that did not seem to matter. I arrived first thing in the morning at 8 AM and ask if the service could be done. Harry was an exceptional young man, he took me in with no problems, no questions. He said they could do it this morning. I told him I would have to wait. He had no problem with that either. Prior to bring in the car in this morning, as I said, I used a yelp project and had several people reach out and give me quotes. After looking at all the yelp reviews I decided to give this place a try. I am super happy that I did. This place is a hidden gem, excellence, service, quality, and value for what you receive. There are not very many shops where you could feel comfortable and put your trust in them. As I spent time in the lobby, I was able to see customer service on the phone and customer service entering the facility. Every customer that walked in, seem satisfied and was treated with dignity and respect. I highly recommend this place if you have any automotive questions whatsoever.

The alternator went out on my Tundra and the truck powered down on the side of the 210 freeway. This was a holiday weekend (Presidents' Day) at about 2:30 pm on a Friday afternoon . Had AAA tow my wife to a local shop who said they couldn't fix it same day. Called Tony's shop and spoke to the manager and explained our situation - he did not hesitate and said to bring it in and they would try their hardest to get us back on the road. Had it towed to Tony's at about 3pm and they diagnosed and installed a new alternator before they closed at 5pm. The price was fair and the manager was very kind to my family and we are very grateful for this. We got back on the road and had an awesome holiday weekend of off-roading out in the desert, truck is running great! THANK YOU GUYS!!

There was an oil leak coming from the oil filter area. The mechanic at USA Auto Service told me that the previous shop I used likely changed only the oil without replacing the filter. If a filter is reused without being replaced, it may not function properly and can cause leaks. The filter was very dirty. Please check the photo. Normally, you trust a shop and leave your car with them. But I was completely scammed. I'm planning to take my wife's car there for an inspection soon as well. Previously, my wife had an oil change at a dealer shop in West Covina, and after just one month, the oil started leaking. They kept contacting us to sell the car. Honestly, it's hard to find a trustworthy repair shop. It feels like many shops only see customers as money. Personally, I highly recommend USA Auto Service. At USA Auto Service, I was able to stand next to the car and check everything myself, and they explained everything in detail. Their prices are lower compared to other places, and they still use good-quality parts. It's been a long time since I found such an honest repair shop, and I was able to receive service without any worries.
