I only ate here once recently, and I just had the pizza. I got a four-way pizza, and had it takeout. I was lucky and got there right when the pizza came out of the oven. 12 dollars for a large. Got an awesome slice here - definitely tasty and quick. The power went out halfway through our visit here - and everyone (staff, customers) took it in stride. It was a bummer that the property manager for that building (all 3 storefronts went dark) couldn't keep the lights running. After taking some time to enjoy our slices outside - I could easily see that this was a regular incident for the past few days. People would walk by exasperating, "Again? What's going on?" Despite the issues with the building owners/maintainers - they made sure our experience was the best they could deliver given the circumstance. I ordered a gyro and a greek salad. For such simple items, both were less than mediocre. The greek salad was a basic iceberg lettuce salad, but they threw on an overload of feta cheese and canned olives...not tasty. The gyro had little to no meat and was unfortunately complemented by two whole uncut pieces of romaine lettuce. Cheap gyros are easy to nail...but this was near inedible. No one really gave me the time of day, said more than repeat my order back to me, never cracked a smile, or said it'll be 5 min., and took and ran my credit card without even a thank you. Unfortunately, I live a block down so I'm sure I'll try them again simply because they're convenient. Update: 9/19/2010...I dropped them from 2 stars to 1 star. I've tried this place three more times since my original review simply for the convenience. Today I ordered a cheeseburger thinking there was no possible way something so basic could come out bad. Wow, was my assumption wrong. It was so bad that I spit out the first bite. I found myself recalling better tasting hospital food. I've also tried the cheese pizza and cheese steak (that has no cheese FYI) and were very disappointed. I'm easy to please, but I just don't understand the decent reviews of this place. I've tried four+ items now and they were all 1 star on a good day. Absolute worst service I have ever experienced from a restaurant!!!! I ordered a 15" large pizza for $30, after waiting an hour for it to arrive I received a small personal pizza. Understandably upset, I tried to call college pizza and instead of making the situation better by refunding my order or at least sending me the correct order, the guy on the phone told me to "take your bad attitude somewhere else and go get your money from Grub Hub".... He continued to ignore my calls and not only did I not receive the food I ordered but I was treated horribly at the restaurant when I went down there to talk to the establishment. I will never spend my money here again. You have no certainty on what you order will be and they don't care enough about their customers to fix the problem. What happened to the Customer is always right?? This little family run joint has fantastic sandwiches. Even the small is a large and they are happy to make your very own picky combination. Mine is grilled chicken, onions and mushrooms w/salt, pepper and oregano - may be a little oil if I've stayed out of the cookie jar that week. The pita roll-ups here are HUGE. But excellent. I went here for the first time yesterday, craving a nice classic sub, none of that junk from subway. After taking some time to peruse the menu, I ordered a turkey club. They asked me if I wanted it on a sub or a roll-up, and I said a sub. My boyfriend and roommate were with me. He ordered the pepperoni egg sub, which was hot and fresh and amazing. Perfect for him, he loves spicy meat and breakfast. My roommate ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. If I could give 0 stars, I would... considering I didn't even get my food! Ordered from Foodler around 12:30, my office is only 10 (15 minutes) tops away from here. It said my food would be delivered at 1:20, so once 1:40 rolled around I gave them a call for an update. The man told me the driver just left and would be at my office in 12 minutes. 2:05 comes rolling around and still no food, but I did get a call.... stating the driver was pulled over and they don't know if he did anything and can't get in touch with him, and he was with the police. Ordered the first time, delivery came in 40 minutes, not bad, but wrong sandwich was given. Ordered a second time, one hour 45 minutes later and no food yet. called 30 minutes ago and was told 6 minutes. Why lie? When I ask for a status of a delivery, I want the actual status, not something to shut me up until I call back again. Pick another place, waiting 2 hours for a couple slices of pizza that will probably be cold when they arrive isn't worth it. Tip: HIRE ANOTHER DELIVERY DRIVER. In every neighborhood in every city, there's "that" local pizza place. If you ask a local where to get pizza, for quick, and for cheap, they'll give you some pizza place with a generic name that nobody online has heard of, and that might even have some mundane Yelp score, but has existed for ages. This is that kind of pizza place. I'm a local to the area, and I can't emphasize enough how nice it is to have a takeout place to fulfill the niche of cheap, filling, delicious pizza that's empty, because every other place in the neighborhood is a franchisee meeting the needs of tourists and gentrification. I see a lot of reviews mentioning that the delivery from this place is totally unreliable, and I could see that. So maybe don't get delivery! But I can attest that the *in person* service is excellent bar none. The staff are a little rushed, but they're exceedingly nice to you if you just try talking to them, instead of treating them like every other pizza place where you're never going to learn anyone's name. I've also seen firsthand that they're very willing to be accommodating of quite...uneven sorts, at late hours, who've maybe been enjoying the nightlife a little much. There's one guy there that's been working there for 25 years. I'll telling you, he knows his way around the block. Also worth noting, they have a large menu, but pretty much everything on it is spot on. Of course the pizza is excellent--you absolutely have to try the buffalo chicken, which is one of the best I've had, and I've been to a lot of local places in the city--but their curly fries are also greasy goodness. In short, of course you have to know what you're going for if you want pizza. If you want something gourmet, maybe this isn't the right fit (try the North End). If you're in a rush, either in-person or by delivery, there's a Domino's and Oath nearby that I'm sure can rush something out. But if you want _good_ pizza, that would prove that you were in Boston, and that might be the perfect cap off to an afternoon of baseball, I'm telling you, this is it. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. The man I talked to on the phone hung up on me multiple times, wouldn't let me speak and had no respect for what I was asking for. When I called (for the THIRD TIME) to ask if my order was even on it's way, the man insisted that they were "extremely busy" even though it was 2am on a Sunday night. I told them just to cancel it and he wouldn't even do that. I thought I was going to get charged for a pizza I never got, but luckily I called GrubHub customer service and they were awesome. If you are starving and want to endure 2 hours or torture, this is your spot. Ordered 2 pizzas through seamless around midnight, was scheduled to be delivered at 1245-1AM. Called at 130 AM when our pizza still had not arrived. After being extremely rude, the employee told us our pizza was on the way. We then called seamless to notify them of the terrible customer service. We learned from seamless that college pizza cancelled our order without telling us. At this point every other place was closed and we were left with nothing. Not much else to say. This place seems get great joy out of disappointing its customers. Definitely never ordering from this place again. Actually, I will be placing a very large pick up order tomorrow, only to not pick it up.
