We went here on a Monday morning around 9:30 and got a table quickly. I had the Anasazi Benedict over an English muffin. The portion was huge and had a ton of hollandaise sauce (which I loved). The green chiles added a good amount of flavor, but weren't spicy at all. I was so full that I didn't even touch the home fries, but they looked tasty. The biscuits and gravy were good, but nothing "out-of-this-world." We were not given a kids menu, so my littlest ordered two pancakes. I wish they had told us that the pancakes are bigger than your head because I woudn't have ordered that much. But, they were fluffy and had a nice griddle browning. So, we brought them home to heat up for a snack. The staff was very friendly and it felt like eating in my grandmother's kitchen. Stacked Huevo Ranchero was very tasty with the chorizo and green chili sauce. I would have left the black beans off and used pinto beans only but I was able to skip most of them. The eggs were over easy just as ordered. The home fries were quite good. Coffee was tasty which is important to me. Wait Staff was very attentive. The others in my group had a couple of the special Benedict dishes and liked them alot. Very good little breakfast joint. Small dining room so expect a wait. We came here for breakfast at the recommendation of a waiter at another restaurant . Let me first start off with the good things. Food was amazing and it came out extremely fast. My only complaint was our waitress Melissa. Extremely rude and very inattentive. She walked directly past our table 6-8 times and looked directly at my EMPTY tea glass and never once offered to refill it. And to add to it, the only time we saw her was when she took out order and brought the bill. It took another waitress to clear the dishes off our table. If you go there you'll be happy with your food. Just make sure you don't get Melissa as your server. This is the only reason for not giving a 5 star rating. read more

My husband and I are visiting Durango for a few days and decided to try this place for breakfast. Excellent choice to make the .5 mile walk. I ordered the veggie burrito, minus the broccoli with both green and red chili sauce. OMG!! Incredible. My husband ordered the two egg breakfast with sourdough toast. I vote NO on this place. I feel bad even writing this because the staff is so nice but I have to be honest. The reviews are what led my boyfriend and I to eat here, but they are misleading. The eggs were overdone on both our plates, the juevos were on tiny tortillas, the coffee was mediocre, and the sausage in the biscuits & gravy was the texture of canned cat food. The.Best.Breakfast. I've ever had in all of my 25 years. My fiancé ordered the biscuits and gravy, then when he saw the french toast land on the table next to us, he decided he couldn't pass up the opportunity to taste it, so he ordered a side of that too. The biscuits were the biggest I've ever seen in any restaurant. Not only that but they were fluffy and flaky and perfect for the most amazing gravy. It is hard to find a good sausage gravy, but I gotta say that they nailed it. Right consistency and a little spice from the sausage was great. All together, this dish was to die for. The french toast was also really good. That is not my first choice for breakfast but it was definitely done right. Crispy crust on the outside and perfectly soft bread on the inside. Not too sweet, which is why I don't typically like french toast. I ordered the Anasazi Benedict. Oh my, was it the most delicious dish ever. Homemade english muffin that was the perfect texture, topped with the most flavorful green chiles, topped with a slice of ham, topped with a perfectly poached egg and smothered in the most amazing hollandaise sauce. I mean what more could you ask for? Again, to die for! As we were leaving we complimented the staff on the quality of the food and the service. They genuinely appreciated our compliments and struck up a conversation with us. Such hospitality, don't pass up the chance to go if you get the opportunity, you will definitely regret it! read more

I came in for brunch late on a Friday morning. The service was efficient and friendly. The place was charming and homey, the prices very reasonable. I had one of their benedict dishes (can't remember the name of it, but it had gravy on it, though I had it with an english muffin, not a biscuit.) We decided to eat breakfast here because it was top rated in the breakfast/brunch category on Yelp. The experience could have easily been made 5 star, since I was already expecting good food and service. I was quickly met with disappointment as our waitress, Melissa, was extremely unfriendly and dry. She did not smile once, until I asked her for her name after she brought us our ticket (likely at a fleeting attempt to salvage her image once she realized why I might want her name). This alone would not normally prompt me to write a review, however, I observed Melissa being very warm and personable with various other patrons. I do not quite know what to make of this, and it really did not sit well with me. Consistency is key! We travel frequently from Dallas and one of my favorite things is to chat with the locals, whether it be our waitstaff or the townspeople. Melissa had an opportunity to make our morning, but soured it instead. I couldn't even finish my breakfast due to the experience. read more

I wasn't sure if the one pancake would fill me up, but it turned out to be size of a large plate. Hot, fluffy, and slightly crisp. One of the best pancakes I've had in a while.
