I've been here multiple times to grab some single cards, and overall it's been a great experience. Customer service is really nice every time I go (usually on chill days), they're quick, helpful, and on top of everything. The ambiance can get a bit loud since there are table games happening behind the counter, but it's not really distracting. It actually adds a bit of energy to the place. The staff member who helped me had really good vibes, which made the visit even better. Definitely worth checking out if you're into cards. The shop is pretty solid for Gundam and Pokémon and One Piece locally. That said, service and value do need to be addressed. On the service side: Pretty poor honestly. Body language, eye contact, and tone are lacking. I understand the hobby demographic is not high class, but from the 4 visits I've had, the employees behind the counter show less care and attention. Probably a generational issue, but in business, that doesn't matter. Proper training should be issued. Though I am also sure they would use AI to formulate a "proper" response to any concerns or complaints about what they lack. Value wise: I requested to match or get close to market value from TCG player on product, and they rejected it statong that they dont follow market since they have to make money too "you know what I mean?" This has been a trend on LGS it seems, however one LGS in Artesia/Cerritos met my request despite card/cash payment. I'm pretty sure the script would later be flipped when the market goes up after supply drops with the response of "sorry marketing value is this so we follow that." If you can ignore all that, go for it. Otherwise just look for another store or go to Card shows. read more

Amazing place would give it 6 stars. Felt like I was meeting long lost friends. I was immediately greeted from the moment I walked in. I gave them a 2nd chance due to the fact that my best friend buys alot from them I didn't even know I guess that's he's local shop he heard of my review and experience and explained that wasnt the owner and he's right a workers action shouldn't have to reflect on a shop. The customer service is absolutely top notch with all kinds of game tournaments being held like Lorcana, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, whatever suits your fancy. Huge open space with tables all lined up to avoid the over crowding you get in many other shops. Prices are reasonable and like I mentioned, the staff are always happy to take in your extra cards. The owner Jeff has always been such an avid player and game enthusiast it is easy to see how the store has just taken off, even at their old location. Edgar and Cesar are game specialists with Edgar running the YGO scene and Cesar owning the Lorcana side of the business. Overall the shop is an icon, a store to visit to rate other stores against. I came in yesterday for the treasure cup around 6:50 pm, I was successful on the app & I got denied by the blonde lady with curly hair as her co worker was checking me in. The other guy took my spot bc he was there longer and was a regular. They checked him in before me and he never signed up on the app to begin with. I can't believe it has been a year since my husband, daughter and I have been playing Lorcana at Collectors Lounge. It's been such an amazing experience being able to see the shop grow from their Lakewood location to the new spacious and ample parking in Cypress. The customer service is really great there. I'm a mom and I love how they treat my daughter with kindness and talk to her and make her feel included. I have friends that shop at other card shops and they aren't very kind to the children. Jeff, Mandie, Cesar, Evan, and Edgar are really wonderful. They go the distance to make sure you're taken care of. Many times new players have asked my family why we chose collectors to be our local game shop. I tell them first and foremost it was the customer service we got from Cesar helping our family learn how to play the game by answering all our questions we would message him online while we were playing at home. Second it's the community. The Lorcana family here have been awesome. Everyone is so kind and patient with new players. Everyone is great with my daughter. We always look forward to playing on Saturdays at league. Also, since I mentioned this on my previous review for the old location, the bathroom is really nice and clean. Mom approved. read more

As much as I like the inventory in this store, there was a girl with green hair that "helped" me get my cards traded for cash. I literally had her count 48 cards and it took 30 minutes at a time where there was no other customer at the store. I gave them lower value cards and I saw on instagram that the lowest value trade ins they had were 60% and I was willing to take that percentage. She ended up giving me 52% of value and wouldn't even try to negotiate with me. I wasn't satisfied so I told her I would think about it and come back. This person goes and tells me "Ok well we will no longer accept trade ins from you since you made us count a lot of cards." 48 CARDS, REALLY?!?!?? I was confused but didn't want to cause a fight so I just told them "ok, sounds good, thanks again." I just couldn't believe that she was complaining about doing work that she was SUPPOSED to do, for 30 MINUTES!!!! Especially since there are people that have laborous jobs, where they only get little time to rest their aching bodies and this person was complaining that I made her "waste" 30 minutes when it is literally part of her job and that was enough to be refused service forever?!?!??? Now, every time I see their instagram, they are posting clips of them buying at 80% value and that just drove me to write this review. While I was even waiting for my cards, I overheard her refusing to sell a box to a customer that was LAID OUT in the public eye to everyone who walked in the store and while the customer was walking out the store, she yelled "SORRY I DON'T MAKE THE RULES!!!!" Then her co worker immediately told her why she didn't sell it and she just said "I just don't want to." It really takes a person to make me write this type of review, I love the stock, I love the aesthetic of the store, but that customer interaction I had was just horrendous and I hope the people visiting this store wont have to experience the same thing. Imagine complaining about counting cards as your job for 30 minutes lounging and talking about getting high in a card shop while other people are struggling to get by and would do anything to make any sort of living in this economy. read more

Of all the card shops I frequent Collectors Lounge is my favorite spot. All the people who work here are super friendly and made buying cards a fun process! I come out to play on their Pokémon TCG nights every week and they know me by name! My favorite person there is Evan! He's the homie and on his off time he plays some rounds of Pokémon with me! They host more than Pokémon too! They have Yugioh, Onepiece, Magic, and Lorcana! Haven't been much of a card collecter as it's been hard to find a place that was easy to get to and feel welcome. Most places I don't even get a hi or how are you and just feels like a place that's trying to take your money and kick you out. Finally gave this place a chance after passing it by so many times going to my favorite icecream shop and was instantly greeted and welcomed in. Their selection was so extensive, so many products for pokemon I haven't seen in a long time including some old ds games that made me feel nostalgic. The employees were so great, ready to help whenever I had a question. I'm not the most outgoing person but they made me feel very valued.
