Great dumpling spot!! The inside is so cool and loved the ambiance - wanted to note there are shades covering windows so was not hot at all in there (from a previous review I saw) . Our waitress gave us some great recommendations and everything came out quick and delicious. Will definitely be returning! read more

Amazing dumpling. Spicy Wonton Soup is delightful. I can't wait to try the Bao next time Definitely going back.

food itself was so good! only downside is the service could be better, we received our drinks nearing the end of our dining and no ice, and the staff confused the tables a few times. pretty place, AI use on menu... read more

4 stars with some asterisks. This place has the components of a successful restaurant but I'm not sure it'll sustain. The food was great and we ordered a ton to share. Warrior noodles, pan fried dumplings, lemon chicken, soup dumplings, cucumber salad, etc. All the food hit the spot and the owner is clearly knowledgeable and movtivated about serving "real food" without shortcuts. The atmosphere is also top notch from the furniture to the silverware and dishes. Service was attentive and quick. What they seem to lack is how to pull this altogether with restaurant operations. The physical menus are more of an encyclopedia and cover only ~40% of available items. The online menu was obviously crucial and a bit hard to navigate to make your order. You can't actually save your selections on the app so you have to keep a list in your head and keep scrolling. The food came out wicked fast given we appeared to be the first customers of the evening and it came out all at once. Impressive but it's hard to manage with the small tables and some pacing (maybe dumplings and other starters first with a natural wait for mains?). Hard to complain about quick food but it made things chaotic and provided less opportunity to enjoy each course. Finally, they need to fix the "POS system" fast. It adds a 15% service fee and 3% for credit cards. The poor server had to explain the service fee is not a tip. Seems like they didn't pay for the system and rather try to pass it along to the customer without prior explanation. That leaves you to either short change the server or end up with a total of 30-35% surcharge on your bill. I'd prefer paper menus and a paper bill to save the big charge given it is detracting from the experience rather than adding to it. I also love dogs but am not sure in that environment they should be able to free roam (when not sleeping most of the time). I say all this in hopes they fix the issues as the food and environment seem to be the tough things for most restaurant and they have that covered. Finally, I'm not sure of the liquor license challenges but having 2 beers, a few wines and a few cocktails could make the economics much more favorable for their seemingly significant investment. I'm pulling for them! read more

Lovely food, the duck is definitely something to try. Service was quick and solid. Nice ambiance not too crowded read more

As we live close by, we so wanted this place to be a regular spot for a quick dinner. Our positivity was unfortunately rather quickly diminished. We ordered the soup dumplings that were very ordinary. The dumpling casings were thick and chewy with not a lot of soup inside. To be fair, the frozen dumplings we purchased at Trader Joes are a lot better. We also ordered the Collagen broth wonton noodle beef that was just ok but with a very small amount of broth for the price. I honestly can't seriously work out how there are so many positive reviews when the food they serve is so very ordinary. Not to mention the price, I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for and this place that is unfortunately definitely not the case. read more

The dumplings were the only good thing: tasty broth and good filling. Nobody seemed to be cooking, the chow main looked like it was reheated multiple times in the microwave, very unappetizing and bland (except for the chili oil) - the chicken version had no chicken in it, and the beef version was not tasty. kung pao chicken was ok, good flavor but chicken rubbery. we waited for 10 min before anyone showed up to greet us, and they had no clue about the menu nor the food. then the owner/chef/manager (??not sure?) came in followed by 2 dirty looking, wheezing dogs who proceeded to go under our table looking for food. Outdoor space looks like will be very nice once completed. Big screen was nice. 15% attached to bill automatically read more

This is a solid choice for dumplings in the neighborhood. It's just getting on its feet but the decor is lovely and the service is friendly. We tried the full moon, two types of dumplings, the fried rice and a noodle dish. The two non-dumpling dishes were cooked by a robot... maybe I'm crazy but I'm pretty sure. There was a person in the kitchen but also two big machines with touch pad screens that appeared to be cooking our food. It was novel and interesting. Is it my new favorite? not necessarily, but it's worth checking out and we'll go back again once they've had a little time to settle in. read more

Good food but some wrinkles to straighten out. Problems: Water served on bottles. Would be better on glasses with ice like most restaurants. Printed menu is beautiful and interesting but scan for main menu is confusing. Tables are far away from booth seating. Needed extra pillows to be able to reach food. Lot of food brought all together including what we wanted as appetizers. Ran out of room on table for it all. Servers are anxious to please but appear inexperienced. Some ordering errors made. Food was excellent and will go back for the food, but wait and hope issues resolved. read more

The food was amazing will definitely be back! The food came out super fast! We ordered 4 dishes and they were all amazing. The owner is super nice and showed us the process on how he makes his broth from scratch. The ambiance was great as well. It's very quiet but it was nice and relaxing. Our server was also very sweet and knowledgeable! We are already planning our next visit! read more

I am not sure why there are dogs running around in the restaurant and it's pretty sure it's code violation. Menus picture and actual food is totally different because it's created by AI and the food taste ok and 16% service charge is automatically applied to your check wth? read more

Having lived in the US for 15 years and originally being from China, I can confidently say this is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've encountered. While Din Tai Fung made dumplings and Xiao Long Bao (XLB) a staple in the American diet, this restaurant takes it to the next level by introducing collagen soup bases--a major trend in China that is rare to see here. A proper collagen soup requires immense skill and over 24 hours of stewing. While many modern restaurants take shortcuts with powders or additives, you can taste the genuine depth of flavor and "layers" here. Most importantly, I didn't feel thirsty or overwhelmed by salt afterward, which is the mark of a truly natural broth. Must-orders: Collagen Soup Bao: Their take on the classic XLB. and Collagen Broth Chili Wonton: Perfectly balanced; flavorful without being overly spicy. read more

This place is like two blocks from where I live and I finally got around to trying it. First, the ambiance and the decor is very warm. I like all the faux greenery. It is just shy of feeling cheesy like the Rain Forest Cafe. The chairs they chose though are kind of big so I just wonder if two people at two tables next to each other are sitting back to back, it seems like it would be kind to push your chair out if you have to get up. But that's a really minor issue. Now onto the food. This place has a northern Chinese influence. A lot of the menu items have spice especially the mah po tofu or they like to drizzle chile oil or chile crisp on things. My group overall liked our food. They do a tasty chicken lo mein. The dumplings were decent. However, the soup dumplings didn't have much broth in them and a few were broken. The server said the chefs have been working on trying to be better about keeping them in tact. They were all so apologetic. To be fair, not every dumpling place is going to be Din Tai Fung. But I really appreciated as I passed by the kitchen, seeing the chef/partner actually making them. So many places just do it frozen. The collagen full moon meat pies and crispy pork bao were also good. They let us try the pork bao for free because they hadn't yet added it to the menu. It's too bad they're on such a quiet corner tucked inside the Trent at 51 apartments. I feel like people don't realize there's a restaurant there. Anyway, I'm pulling for them to do well. I definitely plan on getting takeout there soon as well as go back for a sit down meal. read more

Overall it's a solid 4-star experience for me. Worth trying once if you're curious, but I wouldn't say it's something I'd crave all the time. read more

New place, open a month. The owner greeted us personally and walked us through their signature dishes before we even opened the menu which set the tone for the experience. The Soup Dumplings were super tasty. We ended up dipping them into the Collagen Broth and that combo took things to another level. The Chicken Laomian is a solid lo mein style dish with a nice kick of heat to it. The Lemon Chicken threw us off by name, but don't expect anything citrusy. It's all white meat with a light, crispy batter that has a great crunch to it. Pleasantly surprised. The Collagen Broth with Pork Dumplings brought the a heat kick with a rich flavorful broth. Good food, welcoming owner, no complaints. We'll be back. read more

First time there and order five dishes. They are all awful. Most of the dough was like came out from frozen. It's very dry dough and some of them were uncooked. For the price they are charged, we expect fresh make dough-not from freezer read more

Food was so yummy! Service was friendly and fast! The restaurant was so pretty and had such a nice atmosphere! Will be coming back :)

YUMMY broth! Rich and satisfying. And delicious dumplings. Will return! We bought the $4.99 membership. The only suggestion I have is to get different tables, (sturdier, heavier ones) because they move too easily and the food spilled. read more

My friend found this place on instagram and we were excited to go. Right away it was HOT inside, we asked for water and were brought out water bottles. I'm not sure what that's about. We ordered an appetizer and 10 min later asked for a dish we said would split. We asked for the appetizer to be brought out first but our main dish came shortly after. With no plate to split the food. 30 min later we finish our food and I asked the waitress about the appetizer, and I think they forgot it so I had to remind them. The food was SO OILY! Totally saturated. Our waitress never came back to ask how the food was, no napkins, nothing. Everything tasted salty and soy. Also no beer or wine served. Our tab was about $52, there was a service fee and credit card fee! It was a nice atmosphere if you can get past the heat. I hate to say it but the food did not taste special or authentic. The dumplings were oily and barely any meat. read more

Amazing service and food! I also like the chairs and the walls have cool decorations

Food was great, service was good and he gave everyone in the restaurant a sample of a new dumpling he was trying out

Very disappointing and very expensive for bad food. Half of the things advertised were not even available to order. When we did get the food items we had to settle for, they were half cooked and tasted like poorly heated freezer food. The restaurant seems to be very pretty when you first see it, but on closer inspection everything looks and feels cheap. read more

Ambiance is nice and was looking forward to a good Asian restaurant nearby. I'm half Chinese, I know good Asian food. No one else was there, our food came out right away and felt like it was frozen and reheated. we were given water bottles which is fine but also odd. Dumplings were ok but not fresh also felt like a frozen prepared meal. Definitely expected more not a cheap takeout place that's close by. read more

My wife and I had dinner there last night with two other couples. Each of the our couples selected one dish and the owner prepared a surprise dish for us. I don't know the names of any of the dishes. What I do know is that they were Chinese dishes I've never had before. And they were delicious. The collagen broth they make every day had a unique effect on the dumplings. Angela was our waitress and she took the time to explain everything to us. All of our party enjoyed the meal and the experience greatly. I can't recommend it enough. read more
