Here's a version that works well for both Google and Yelp -- warm, specific, and still sounds like you: Such a fun find! We came with our daughter and her friend and basically decided to try a little bit of everything -- dumplings, soups, bao buns and more -- and it was ALL delicious. The concept is really unique, too. Their signature broth is slow-simmered and actually lab-tested for collagen, which explains the name Collagen Dumpling Dynasty. The broth was rich and flavorful, and we had so much fun trying different things on the menu. Our waiter, Marco, was fantastic -- super personable, helpful and great about explaining the menu and making recommendations. He definitely added to the experience. My only suggestion: better signage outside! We actually drove past at first because we thought the restaurant wasn't open. It's tucked inside the Credit Union West building, so don't let that fool you -- GO IN! Definitely a hidden gem and a place we'll be back to. Interesting spot but it has good food! First- it's inside the credit union and they don't have a sign yet other than some pictures of dumplings but if you see the credit union you're in the right spot! We tried a bunch of items on the menu, including the broth dumplings, soup bao, fried dumplings and wontons, the full moon pastry thing, and lemon chicken and the coconut milk cake. My friends really loved the chicken and we thought the dumplings, bao and wontons were great. My least favorite was the broth wonton noodle - I just didn't find it as flavorful as the broth dumplings which basically came in a really good soup. I liked them but my friends didn't love the meat in the full moon dish. Inside is an interesting vibe, they gave us bottles of water and didn't have cups? But the water was free. I know they opened recently so probably still working out some kinks. The menu on the table is cool - it's not the menu you order from but it gives historical info about the dishes. I have to say, I had really high hopes coming here, but unfortunately, it just wasn't it for me. From the AI dumpling video screen to the menu not matching what they actually carried, the whole experience just didn't quite hit home. First off, they don't have Wi-Fi, yet they really promote their QR-code ordering system. So just a heads up: you're in a concrete building, possibly with zero service, trying to get a QR code to load so you can order your food. Nothing says "dining experience" quite like standing there waiting for your phone to load. Second, the 15% service fee felt a little shady to me. It honestly made me wonder how the servers are being compensated. Our server even told us, "No need to add more tip," which definitely made me pause and wonder about the whole setup. Third, the food was just okay. The soup dumplings weren't nearly as brothy as I expected them to be. The noodle dish we tried also didn't really work for me. It tasted more like a dressed-up package of ramen than a traditional Chinese noodle dish. Now, the table set up? Amazing. The bowls, silverware, golden chopsticks, and overall design are all really well done. But then you get to the paper napkin and bottled water, and it just feels like the table is trying to be fine dining while the napkin is reminding you this ain't it. It adds a level of cheapness that kind of taints what is otherwise a really beautiful presentation. I do want to give a thank you to our server, who was very nice. The service....April was beyond friendly, but she was the ONLY server on for the entire restaurant and it was noticeable in the attentiveness that lacked. Again....super super friendly and nice, but she was stretched very thin and I have to give her credit for carrying the entire dining room on her own. 3. The dining room. VERY VERY HOT. We came in around 5pm we're super excited to eat here...but the temperature was unbearably hot and we were told that it was due to the large windows. During our dining, it only got hotter. The service is very friendly, with the added bonus of the chef coming out to say hi and recommend extra tasty goodies. And the food....my goodness!! The restaurant is legitimately certified in bone broth cookery and it shows. The dumplings are masterful, and the dishes on the menu are so unique and full of love. I've never had Asian food like this anywhere in the valley; it's an incredible experience. Extra bonuses for being both BYOB and dog friendly!!!! A friend and I went for lunch yesterday. The decor is pretty, though the furniture was more aesthetically appealing than functional. We kept hitting our knees on the two-person table so we moved to the bigger 4-person table. We ordered: -one order of the xio long bao (collagen soup pork dumplings): unfortunately, all but two were broken when brought to us so none of the soup was left -one order of the pan fried pork baos: these were all right. Your usual pork bao fare. -shrimp fried rice: good amount of shrimp and big pieces of egg. They use long grain rice so it's a different texture than usual. -spicy collagen broth rice noodles with beef: flavor was delicious, rice noodles bouncy, beef slices tender but the broth was slightly over salted They brought a house salad on the house and that was refreshing. Oddly enough, one of the highlights as it had a good variety of vegetables and the dressing was light. The server was super nice and attentive to us. It was quieter for a late lunch time. Ordered the cucumber salad (huge bowl!), Warrior Noodles, pork soup dumplings (xiao long bao), and mapu tofu. All was soooo flavorful and had great portions! I thoroughly enjoyed the authentic flavors and time dedicated to ensuring the dish is true to northern China. I would get each of these items again! You can't go wrong and if you love spice, there is plenty in the warrior noodles and mapu tofu (if you don't know about this dish, it numbs your mouth from the sichuan peppercorns). My sister invited me to dinner at a new Asian restaurant, "Collagen Dumpling Dynasty," located very close to where I live, and I had no idea it was there. The restaurant's entire identity is structured around the evolution of Chinese cuisine. Collagen dumplings are a unique culinary creation where a collagen-rich bone broth is transformed into a solid jelly and then folded into the dumpling wrapper. This "secret" ingredient is responsible for the signature explosion of hot liquid found in soup dumplings. The restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing with a tropical rainforest aesthetic. Everyone was very friendly and offered us a few treats to sample. Collagen Fried Dumplings: Inspired by the Tang Dynasty, these crescent-shaped dumplings are pan-fried to create a signature golden, crispy "skirt." We ordered the collagen noodle soup, soup dumplings, chow mein, and a chicken dish that they didn't have (so ordered the lemon chicken instead). Looks and feels brand new, and much fancier than your average Chinese or dumpling restaurant. All items were great, serving a healthy portion of protein and lots of seasoning/flavor! - Warrior Noodles: definitely our favorite dish, and it's hard to even type this, but there was so much seasoning & meat, we think it needed more noodles to soak up the flavor and/or more veggies to break up the savory meats. - Chili dumplings were good as well, 3.5/5, not very spicy and the broth tasted a bit watery, but once you added some chili oil, vinegar and dumpling sauce - the dish kicked up to 4.5! - Half-Moon was savory and filling! Don't be mad that you only get two cause it was this dish that did me over. Overall, this was a nice spin on Chinese dumplings with the benefits of collagen. I would consider it more of a fusion / hybrid spot than your traditional crumpling house, and it was enjoyable. I'm glad I went. To keep it straightforward I think the dishes were a bit slightly pricer (compared to other places) for the portion you get. Maybe because you get collagen in it? But you're better off just bringing your own collagen at that point lol. This is located inside next to a credit union entrance so just keep a lookout for that. The interior is actually nice. Tall, decorated ceilings and walls give it a nice vibe but I think they spent majority of the budget on that because the entire menu is comprised of poorly generated AI photos. Every single one. I noticed the menu had a lab test result showing that their food is "certified to have collagen" on it with Dragon Flame(good place btw) , a restaurant in Tempe so I'm assuming it's the same owner. For the food I ordered a mapo tofu and beef collagen dumpling soup with rice noodles. The mapo tofu was great. Good flavor and it was needed since the sauce helped bring the bland noodle soup up. Our waiter, Marco, was world class. He made us feel so welcome and did a formal introduction of the restaurant's concept and the menu while highlighting their best sellers. The restaurant is such a vibe. Its entrance shares a door with a credit union, so it feels like you're walking into the wrong place at first. When you enter the restaurant itself, it feels like you're walking into a jungle with a ginormous TV screen projecting moving imagery in the dining area. Every little detail is curated. The owner is Chinese, and Asian chefs can be seen preparing the food. We ordered the shrimp wontons as a snack to try. They came with collagen on top that we were told could easily be taken off, if desired. The food took a while to come, and we were the only people in the restaurant, but its presentation was beautiful. The crunchy collagen on top was indeed a bit weird and actually impossible to separate from the dumpling. The dumplings themselves were a little mushy with a wrapper that's way too thick. The chili oil on the side is not at all flavorful. The restaurant is also incredibly warm inside, which is very uncomfortable on a hot summer day. THIS IS NOT A PAID REVIEW (unlike the others) Let me preface by saying that I am not a Karen and I despise Karen's (sorry if your name is actually Karen) Ill get right into it: Food arrived before water & drinks, upwards of 80 degrees in the restaurant at 7:30 PM, very cheap ingredients, 1 server on Friday night with ~50 seats, 1 cook with mostly automated machines cooking the food, cook taking photos and videos of diners, seeds are left in the fruit used for beverages, 18% in fees (15% service fee and 3% surcharge) before the tip, etc etc, there is a lot more to say but these were the main takeaways. On the up side, server was kind and as attentive as possible (seeing as she's the only one). Take it from a 15 year career restaurateur, this screams "I opened a restaurant for the money and thats all I care about--how cheap can I operate?". We're the only people in here, so we sit down and the drink options are limited, they charge $2 for a water bottle when I'm fine drinking tap but they don't offer it. The eastern dumplings were good, the soup dumplings were bad, they had no soup in them and had raw carrots and cilantro on top. Stopped in here for a weekend lunch and it wasn't too busy. I think there is parking in the garage next to it, but I was able to find parking right on the street. The menus are all on QR codes and that's also how you order. We got some fried dumplings and soup bao, which were both really good. The standout for me was the warrior noodles. They came with a lot of ground meat to make them extra filling. There was also just a little kick of spice. Decided to try Collagen Dumpling on a Friday lunchtime. Unfortunately, it didn't quite wow me. First off, many of the dishes came with a lot of random garnishes that felt unnecessary and a bit overwhelming. We tried the Collagen Fullmoon "meat pie", it was very juicy on the inside, but I wish the exterior had been crispier. The soup bao was decent, but not as soupy as I expected. We also got the pan fried bao and it felt more like a pan-fried xiao long bao rather than something unique. While the photos online look amazing, the actual dishes didn't quite match that presentation. One small but frustrating detail, the plates they use are very slippery and tend to spin, which made it surprisingly difficult to transfer food onto our plates. That said, I did really enjoy the homemade chili oil. It was flavorful and paired well with everything. The ambiance is definitely a highlight: upscale, modern, and stylish with large TVs. It seemed like cucumbers were tossed in a sauce without marinating. The collagen soup bao was moist but had no soup. The collagen broth rice noodle and chicken Laomian tasted like they had the same chili sauce. No distinct difference. No depth of flavor. Finally when we received the bill, our Server informed us of a 15% service fee added to the bill. This definitely was of poor taste considering the food was mediocre at best. Ambience when I walked in was decent and clean except during dinner time it was completely empty. This should have warned me about the food quality but I decided to give it a try. The dry warrior noodles cam back drenched in oil bitter due to them having burnt the ground pork (or hopefully that is what that burnt residue at the bottom felt like) they forgot to fry it with garlic so they just threw some raw garlic on top. The food looked nothing like the pictures, but what was even worse is that it tasted bad. Frozen dumplings from Trader Joe's have more flavor than this. Visited this brand new spot this weekend. Everything was fantastic! We ordered soup dumplings, bao, and mapo tofu. They make chili oil from scratch that is SO good. They use sichuan chilis for the oil so it leaves an interesting sensation in your mouth (if you know, you know). Their broth is made the TRUE way, low and slow with all the bones, which leaves you with a high collagen, high protein base for all the delicious meal options. The service was great; April is such a sweetheart and the owner is super friendly. You can tell that he cares a lot about the quality of the food as well as the happiness of his employees and customers. Parking is pretty much limited to street parking, and the restaurant has no signage indicating its entrance, which is inside of a credit union. You order using a qr-code and are provided with an AI-generated menu that doesn't actually describe what's in the dish you're ordering.. There are also two little dogs that just wander around the restaurant and came underneath our table multiple times. Their presence felt a little like a health code violation. We ordered a few different items to try. The soup dumplings were good, but not worth $16. The broth noodle/wanton soups were also just okay; they lacked any depth of flavor. Not worth $20 each.
