I am So disappointed in cold stone at the plaza. It's so close to our house, and we been giving them so much business since they have been there. I tried to order an ice cream cake with coffee lovers ice cream for a birthday. I continue to get the runaround, "I'll call back when my managers are here" and "I don't know anything about ordering that." Called again the next day and still no manager. I walked in the evening of 7/2/2013 and the two girls working were having a personal conversation and didn't bother to greet me or even acknowledge my presence even though they saw me standing right there. Went to Coldstone with my wife and we both ordered the apple pie a la mode. The ice cream was yummy, however the service was not so great. They looked like they have been up all night and this was the last place they wanted to be. Traditionally, at Coldstone, when you leave a tip they are suppose to sing. Came in on a busy night to see only a few girls working the place, with the line they kept the place clean which is impressive due to the fact that it must be difficult to keep clean while helping a line of customers. They worked quickly but extremely well and all were so so so nice and sweet!! Made conversation with their customers as well as working quickly. Love the ice cream as well! I have given this place many chances because the ice cream is good, but unfortunately the service here just isn't that great. My sister got an email with an offer for ice cream so we went to get her the ice cream and we were told that we couldn't use the coupon even though it said valid at all Southern California locations. We explained that it said that but the worker there just said "no sorry we can't do anything about it". My sister was really upset and I was too, seeing that the way they approached the situation was very rude. It seemed like the workers were unhappy and there by force. Incredibly RUDE Staff. I have gone three times and each time the young staff seem busy socializing with friends who have dropped in, they forget something added into the ice cream and/or they just barely fill the ice cream to the line. Ice cream was too soft and melted before we got out the door. The girl would not stop squirting the chocolate syrup even though I kept telling her to stop.
