I ate one of the best Pumpkin loaf breads ever - from Suzie Q's Bakery. I know it says on their business profile that they're in Corona - but I lucked out this past weekend when I stopped by their stand they had setup at the Irvine Modern Maker's Mart - over at that plaza where the AMC is, in Woodbridge. Just finished up seeing a movie, and decided to stroll the plaza for food ideas, when I saw the open-air market setup, and checked out the different vendors. Suzie Q had her stand setup near the end of my walk. I was warmly greeted right away as I stepped up to their booth. So many different treats, but what stood out for me was the pumpkin bread - I asked what was inside/what the bread was like. Suzie herself described it as moist (that alone piqued my interest, since I dislike dry breads) - spices, pumpkin. SOLD! Was bummed they didn't have another one - I picked up the last pumpkin loaf ($12). The pumpkin bread itself was DELICIOUS! If you love pumpkin like I do - this is it. The topping/crust has just the right amount of cinnamon-sugar crumbles - sorta like a coffee cake - but the loaf itself... each slice was full of pumpkin. I sliced out thick proportions sorta like a pound cake - and had a slice for with milk for breakfast these past few days. The bread maintained its moisture until the last bite - perfect. There's other goodies at their stand, but nothing that stood out to me since I wanted pumpkin stuff. Suzie shared that she's usually setting up shop at some of the other farmer's markets in the area. You can place an order on her website (she doesn't have a storefront) - but you'd have to make the trek up to Corona to pick your order up.
I needed a cookies for my daughter's 7th birthday. I was so surprised how neat and cute and not just cute - but soooo deliciously good! The best cookies I ever tasted!! I highly recommend you to try it. Her service is excellent I finally found my go to order for any event I will have. Thank you so much!
We got a custom order for my sons 1st birthday! Everything was absolutely perfect, and delicious. The theme was Winnie the Pooh and the attention to detail was nothing short of amazing. Placing an order was absolutely seamless and luckily we live right down the street! We are so happy to have stumbled upon her work so locally and can't to order for future events!

I ordered a custom 2-tier cake for my daughter-in-law's baby shower. Placing an order was very easy and Suzie was very prompt and clear in our communications back and forth. The theme for the baby shower was an unusual one - The Great British Baking Show - but Suzie managed to accommodate the theme in a creative and cute way, right down to matching the colors of the tv show set and the little fondant cutouts on the side of the cake (for example, a "chef's coat" onesie complete with the family name in tiny cursive). Not only was the cake beautiful; it was delicious. You could taste the quality ingredients. Everyone raved about the cake in appearance and taste. My favorite was the vanilla buttercream filling. It was better than any other vanilla buttercream I have tasted in any purchased cakes or what I have made myself. I was concerned about transporting a two-tier cake myself 30 miles to the shower, but Suzie boxed the cake on a very sturdy cake board and surrounding box and the cake arrived at its destination without any mishaps. Although custom cakes can be expensive, Suzie's prices are competitive and actually on the lower side compared to some of the other places I checked out. I highly recommend Suzie Q's Bakery. If I am ever in need of another special cake (or cookies) for a special occasion, I will be using Suzie Q's Bakery.
I can't recommend this bakery enough! I gave her a random picture for inspiration, and she truly brought it to life -- the cake was absolutely gorgeous and so aesthetic. What impressed me even more was the taste. Usually, store-bought cakes look nice but don't always deliver on flavor, but this one was honestly one of the most delicious yellow cakes with chocolate frosting I've ever had. It was moist, rich, and perfectly balanced. Everyone at my daughter's birthday raved about it. Thank you so much for making her day extra special!

She worked with me to come up with ideas for what she can create along with the colors and I'm happy I took a chance on a new small business owner for the first time. If you're considering her take a chance and she won't disappoint you. Her prices are reasonable for what she does because you definitely get what you pay for and she prides herself in delivery best quality yummy tasting goodies. Thank you again Suzie.

this is so long overdue!! i found Suzie thru her pop-ups at local events & and knew i needed her for my daughter's birthday cake & treats. i reached out in january for an order of cookies, cake pops & a personal cake for my daughters 3rd birthday. from january - april she was so communicative and stayed so patient with me when i wasn't the best at responding. coordinating pickup was easy & everything went smooth + quick. the personal cake we ordered (all vanilla) was the BEST cake i've ever tasted. not sure if it was buttercream or what, but i couldn't get enough!! and the cakepops & cookies were delicious. almost too cute to eat! her decorating skills are incredible and she puts so much effort into everything she makes. i highly recommend following her on instagram where you can watch her behind the scenes! thank you Suzie!!! you're amazing! read more

I've ordered from Suzie twice so far and each time was a great experience! Most recently I ordered a selection of custom decorated cookies for a garden themed baby shower and they were absolutely perfect not only in appearance but in taste and consistency as well. A little over a year ago I ordered a selection of cookies, birthday cake pops and a vanilla cake with strawberry and whipped cream filling. Each was yummy, although I will neutrally say that the cake was more on the dense side. I need to try again! As for service, great communication, easy payment and pick up process. I am so happy I found such a talented baker so close to me. I will definitely be ordering from Suzie again and I highly recommended her for your next event! read more

I have a specific cake design in mind for my son's first birthday party. So I went to Suzie and inquired if she could do it. I really liked the cake's design and wanted to have everything copied to a tee. And let me tell you, Suzie did not disappoint! Everything was perfect- from the cake to the accents such as the gold macaroons and the beehive cookies! She even managed to add the personalized cake topper. Mind you, I finalized my order a little less than a week before the actual event. Everybody loved the cake! Not only did the cake look good, but it also tasted good!! I reached out to Suzie for baked items for my baby shower... Can I just say she made the most beautiful cookies I have ever seen!? I'm so glad I found her. She nailed my concept right on the head and delivered exactly what it was that I had imagined. I also asked for copycat Starbucks cake pops (bc pregnant and obsessed) and she nailed those too - actually, hers were better!!! I found this home bakery on yelp and was immediately impressed with the cakes. I ordered a 2 tier 8 inch and 6 inch cake with silk flowers and a rustic buttercream design. Suzie was extremely professional, answered all my questions and was transparent about cost. She was flexible with pick up time and payment and was overall amazing. Absolutely lovely to work with! I wanted some cookies for my mother's wedding and found her on Yelp! Communication was super quick, and was able to provide an invoice fast. We were open to her artistic interpretation, and she nailed it! All the guests loved the cookies that they didn't want to eat it haha. The zombie cake was a big hit. The cake is Devil's food with strawberry for filling and sliced almonds for the outside; it was moist and delicious. Everyone loved it especially the birthday boy. Communicating with Suzzanne was via email and she was very prompt in responding; she is very sweet. I love the fact that I was able to request the level of sweetness of the cake. If you've found this business and now wondering if you should consider Suzanne to help bring your vision to life by making/designing a cake or making your dessert treats, I highly recommend her. I found her business on google and glad I did. I reached out to her through email about 3 weeks before I needed the cake/desserts. Her reply was fast, professional, and knowledgeable and had the date i needed available. (Her site does say it's best to book 4-6 weeks in advance) After we decided on everything I wanted, including items and flavors, as well as the theme and color schemes, she sent over an organized and detail invoice for payment. About one week before my pick up date, I emailed about a tiny addition and she was able to accommodate. Suzanne is very easy to work with. Her communication about picking up my order was clear and she is punctual. The day of pick up went smooth. I called her letting her know i was headed over and called again once i arrived. She was ready with my order and brought everything out to the car. I was extremely satisfied with her work and so was everyone at the party. For reference- cake is vanilla with fresh strawberries, 3 layers/ 10", and used Italian cream (we don't like sweet and it was perfect). Cake was dense (not a bad thing) and still very moist. Cake pop flavors were vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Mini shooters were lemon raspberry, chocolate oreo, and banana pudding. The dessert table was beautiful! The colors and design were just what i wanted. I've already recommended @suzieqsbakery to family and friends at the party. 5 stars! read more

It was so beautiful- matched the rest of my flowers and was very tasty - which isn't always the case with wedding cakes! I was so lucky to have found this bakery! Susie was an absolute Peach to work with. I ordered a 2 tier cake for 80 people to be delivered. She was reasonably priced. Compared to other bakers in the area who were not as customer friendly. The cake was fondant, chocolate and cookies and cream... everyone at the party and I mean EVERYONE was asking who made the cake it was so yummy! I will definitely be ordering all my cakes from this small woman owned business. read more
