I ordered a fairy theme mushroom cake for my 1 year old daughter's birthday. The cake was so perfectly made I couldn't believe my eyes. We sent a picture to her of what we wanted and she crafted the cake even better than the picture. The detailing was incredible, and everyone in the party was impressed by its beauty. In my search I found another bakery that was 30$ cheaper but at that point I had already committed to Arty Crafty cakes so I went ahead with it and I am glad we did. We don't have many pictures as we hired a photographer. But adding one that my friend took. Honestly the photo doesn't do justice to how beautiful the cake was. There was a lot of effort involved in making this cake, so thank you!

Finding the perfect cake for a special occasion is a challenge in itself. If you throw a Pinterest-worthy party but serve a less than stellar cake, then the cake is what everyone will be talking about. I wanted to get a custom cake to make the birthday extra special and Maria was able to execute that for me. Her responses were extremely fast and she was helpful throughout the entire process. I emailed her my vision and with a few suggestions, she made it come to life. Her most popular combinations are: Vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fresh raspberries, chocolate with chocolate and Oreo with Oreo. Not only does she do an amazing job with fondant, which is proven through her customers' pictures, her cake quality is extraordinary. When the waitresses cut the cake, they said they were surprised at how thin and soft the fondant was. They're use to thick layers of fondant, which results in a crushed cake from trying to cut through. They've cut hundreds of fondant cakes and this, without a doubt, was the best one they've seen by far. Everyone was raving over how moist and flavorful the cake was. The raspberries, added a bit of tart to the overall taste, paired with the mouthwatering vanilla buttercream was an excellent combination. I now know who to go to when I need a custom cake. Spent $400+ for a cake that my guests said was "the best looking WORST TASTING cake"they ever had. I was so embarrassed. It tasted awful. No flavor and crumbly. It looked amazing but if we can't enjoy it - what's the point? I ended up throwing away 1/4 of it and NOBODY wanted to take any home. Waste of money. read more

María is such an amazing baker. When she does things for clients, she does it to the smallest detail (even the little shimmer in the eyeball of a character), the texture is exquisite! She puts 200% into each order so you're really paying for what you're getting. The cakes are so delicious and moist. She also does cupcakes and may start doing cookies soon. Was asking for a Frenchie cake but this is how she delivered. I told her that this is not presentable and she said it's offensive. If you want to keep a good business, you should accept bad reviews from customers and improve instead of closing the door. Sometimes you come across a company that just becomes a part of your family. This is this business. Maria is highly talented and is able to work with any budget and any theme. I've ordered multiple cakes with her from camping themes with a camping fire and marshmallows on top to a teenage themed cake. not only were the cakes, beautiful and professionally done, they were delicious. I love the detail she includes on the cake to make it special for the recipient. For one of my cakes, she included fire coming off a running shoe and other items to support my son's interest and commitment to track and cross country. It's attention to details like this that makes the cake so special. Beyond amazing cakes, Maria is really great at conceptualizing ideas based upon what are your likes and desires. Hi, Arty Crafty is a home-based business created and conducted by me. All cakes are made with love and passion in my home kitchen. I create each custom design based on your theme, event and budget. My cakes are made from scratch and freshly baked using the best. My fondant is the best quality-Albert Uster and taste like tootsie roll. My buttercream is swiss merengue (pure eggs, butter and sugar - not shortening neither powder sugar). I flavor the buttercream with real vanilla extract, real strawberries, raspberries, dulce de leche etc.. no artificial extracts/ingredients. Clients are welcome to come by to check my facility by appointment. I'm very flexible, friendly and willing to help you to work based on your budget. I put my 100% of what I do to provide the best experience and dream cake for your special event.

It had the same dense and dry sponge cake and was nothing like traditional tiramisu. I was really embarrassed and we couldn't finish it. I don't write these reviews lightly but I was extremely disappointed, will not return, and will not recommend.
