Specifically, the slice of tiramisu for the birthday boy wasn't available so in a haste, I ordered the full tiramisu in the display case. The tres leches I ordered wasn't in stock and was replaced by vanilla rolls. I read so many positive reviews, I assumed any cake should be good. Sadly, the vanilla roll was inedible. The cake part was dense and dry. It seemed like the type of cake they'd use for tres leches but of course, without the milk which made it taste really bad. The red velvet was equally dry and wasn't made with cream cheese frosting. It was bland and actually tasted like cheap ingredients. The worst part was the $30 tiramisu for birthday boy. It had the same dense and dry sponge cake and was nothing like traditional tiramisu. I was really embarrassed and we couldn't finish it. I don't write these reviews lightly but I was extremely disappointed, will not return, and will not recommend.

The cake tasted very good and was a hit with the birthday party. We got so many compliments on the cake appearance and cake taste. I will definitely consider Aja again for special occasion cakes. To start the process, I emailed Kylie and let her know what I envisioned for my cakes with some pictures attached and the date I needed the cakes. Please note that you do have to order a month in advance. Kylie let me know that there is a minimum purchase of 2 cakes when ordering lunchbox cakes so I ordered 2. The actual cake is vanilla flavor and you have the option of choosing vanilla, strawberry, matcha, or cookies and cream for the buttercream filling. For my mom's birthday, I chose a light purple cake with a cute floral design and strawberry buttercream flavor ($40). The second cake for her birthday had Van Gogh's starry night with vanilla buttercream flavor ($45). For my birthday this year, I ordered a light pink cake with a floral design and matcha buttercream flavor ($45). My second lunchbox cake was light purple with an angel hello kitty design and cookies and cream buttercream filling ($50). It's really cool that you are able to customize your cakes, although it does get pricier as you add more details. The lunchbox cakes come in a circle shape and are the perfect size. There's enough cake to share with a couple people, but it's also not too much cake if you wanted to just enjoy it yourself. :) Once you are set on the details of your order and your pickup time, Kylie sends you your invoice. After that, all you have to do is show up at your designated time to the address provided. Kylie includes cake care instructions for you as well to ensure that your cake stays in good condition until you are ready to enjoy it. I have appreciated the quality of the cakes and I love supporting small businesses so I will definitely order again in the future. Thank you Kylie for your beautiful designs and attention to detail. Your cakes have brought a smile to my face each time and my loved ones have also enjoyed!

I wanted to get a custom cake to make the birthday extra special and Maria was able to execute that for me. Her responses were extremely fast and she was helpful throughout the entire process. I emailed her my vision and with a few suggestions, she made it come to life. Her most popular combinations are: Vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fresh raspberries, chocolate with chocolate and Oreo with Oreo. Not only does she do an amazing job with fondant, which is proven through her customers' pictures, her cake quality is extraordinary. When the waitresses cut the cake, they said they were surprised at how thin and soft the fondant was. They're use to thick layers of fondant, which results in a crushed cake from trying to cut through. They've cut hundreds of fondant cakes and this, without a doubt, was the best one they've seen by far. Everyone was raving over how moist and flavorful the cake was. The raspberries, added a bit of tart to the overall taste, paired with the mouthwatering vanilla buttercream was an excellent combination. I now know who to go to when I need a custom cake. I can't thank you enough Maria!
