Specifically, the slice of tiramisu for the birthday boy wasn't available so in a haste, I ordered the full tiramisu in the display case. The tres leches I ordered wasn't in stock and was replaced by vanilla rolls. I read so many positive reviews, I assumed any cake should be good. Sadly, the vanilla roll was inedible. The cake part was dense and dry. It seemed like the type of cake they'd use for tres leches but of course, without the milk which made it taste really bad. The red velvet was equally dry and wasn't made with cream cheese frosting. It was bland and actually tasted like cheap ingredients. The worst part was the $30 tiramisu for birthday boy. It had the same dense and dry sponge cake and was nothing like traditional tiramisu. I was really embarrassed and we couldn't finish it. I don't write these reviews lightly but I was extremely disappointed, will not return, and will not recommend.

We absolutely LOVE the white satin vanilla cake with strawberry mousse. It's not too sweet and honestly one of the best cakes we've ever had. Communicated with staff via email and the exchange was delightful. They recommended two options for a smaller version of our original wedding cake and even accommodated a last-minute time change for pickup. Everyone who works there is so on-top of helping anyone in store it was very sweet. There's a reason why this small business has been around for decades! We can't wait for the next milestone we get to celebrate with a cake from Tasteful Cakes.

They have candy mold, chocolate melts in many colors, cake toppers, an array of cookie cutters. I even bought bulk pretzel sticks. With the clear packaging I could see that the pretzels were in perfect condition none were cracked for the treats that I wanted to make for a Halloween camping event. Because I don't live in this area I made quite the purchase that included the tools to make the cake pops we made in class! The instructor and assistant, Danielle and Vivian were outstanding and patient with our group of ladies. We got to meet Wendy another team member of Pila's and also got to meet the wonder. Great customer service with each of them. I would love to take a look at some of the other classes they offer! I would definitely make the drive. Please note that you do have to order a month in advance. Kylie let me know that there is a minimum purchase of 2 cakes when ordering lunchbox cakes so I ordered 2. The actual cake is vanilla flavor and you have the option of choosing vanilla, strawberry, matcha, or cookies and cream for the buttercream filling. For my mom's birthday, I chose a light purple cake with a cute floral design and strawberry buttercream flavor ($40). The second cake for her birthday had Van Gogh's starry night with vanilla buttercream flavor ($45). For my birthday this year, I ordered a light pink cake with a floral design and matcha buttercream flavor ($45). My second lunchbox cake was light purple with an angel hello kitty design and cookies and cream buttercream filling ($50). It's really cool that you are able to customize your cakes, although it does get pricier as you add more details. The lunchbox cakes come in a circle shape and are the perfect size. There's enough cake to share with a couple people, but it's also not too much cake if you wanted to just enjoy it yourself. :) Once you are set on the details of your order and your pickup time, Kylie sends you your invoice. After that, all you have to do is show up at your designated time to the address provided. Kylie includes cake care instructions for you as well to ensure that your cake stays in good condition until you are ready to enjoy it.
