    Ice cream and a bandaid

They have staff working there with sores, I had a piece of bandage in my ice cream, I'm calling the health department

This review is for Julio. My mom and I stopped by this location and we are certainly happy we did. Julio provided excellent customer service! He was kind, patient, and very helpful. He offered us samples and had such a positive attitude. Julio seemed genuinely happy to be working at Coldstone and happy to prepare our order. Five stars for Julio

Walking into one of these locations, always hits me with that strong sugar smell. Lol. This particular location had 2 associates working during our quick stop in. Which allowed for us to be in and out with a short time that evening. I liked the ca t the one of the associates was able to replicate something similar to a special request of and ice cream that they Norwood not carry. As that made for a more enjoyable ice cream experience. Wasn't not crowded at all, which was another nice thing too. Continue to keep up with the good service as well.

    Bug in my shake.

Ordered a shake and my sister ordered love it ice cream. They gave her a Gotta Have It and charged her for it and we told them twice that it would be a separate transaction. They rang us up together. Cherry on top was finding a little bug chilling on the top of my shake! Won't be coming back to this location ):

They always do me right at this cold stone! Service is super fast & great (even when there's a long line). The ambiance is chill, they always got music playing & the seating is convenient:) I always get a French vanilla w/ Oreos & sprinkles

    Almond milk Chocolate Shake
    Lawanda F.

Had to try the almond milk, chocolate shake and I was pleasantly surprised. It had a good flavor, very chocolatey. The shocker is that it didn't taste sugary or overly sweet. The bonus is the fact that is non-dairy. Now I'm waiting for them to start making strawberry shakes. It was so refreshing

I want to thank the whole Cold stone staff for my amazing beautiful thoughtful birthday cake. They were so patient with my other (which I Placed 5 weeks prior and with crazy details I wanted) but they called me twice to make sure they were making it right for me. And you know what it was the most perfect cake I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you.

Parking was a bit confusing - there's a lot of electric vehicle parking (which should have but did not think to use), but found regular parking further out. The ice cream spot is in the food court area near the restrooms. Menu consists of many different Filipino and some regular flavors. Ended up getting a split scoop of ube and macapono. We were waiting for our ice cream and noticed that the party behind us got theirs first. We wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but once the party after us got theirs, we noticed that the cashier came back to the register ready to take another order so I went up and told her that we were still waiting on ours scoops and she said "oh i forgot " Not sure how she could forget when we were first to order with no one ahead of us... Seems like this staff needs more customer service and ice cream training.

Handel's Homemade Ice Cream - Redondo Beach…read more Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this place, it's one of my favorites. I especially love the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream, which is always delicious. One of the reasons I prefer this Redondo Beach location is their generous portions. They also allow you to choose two different flavors on a sugar cone, which some other locations (like Glendale) do not allow, they require the same flavor. That flexibility definitely makes a difference. Parking is plentiful, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is nice since you're enjoying your ice cream outdoors. Overall, it's a great spot, and I highly recommend it if you're in the area.

The employee refused to accommodate a simple request, then accused me of having an attitude and closed the service window in my face. When I asked for a manager, another employee came out and said they supported the coworker and also refused to serve me. I was eventually served only after being told to "not have an attitude." I only completed the purchase because I had promised my kids ice cream, but the overall experience was disrespectful, unprofessional, and felt discriminatory. I would not recommend this place, especially for families.

One thing was immediately clear: everyone was ordering the snowstorm. Most people seemed to go with either the matcha or the original, though they also had other flavors like sesame. Naturally we followed the crowd and ordered the matcha. It's matcha soft serve topped with chestnuts, and it turned out to be a great little pre-dinner snack -- creamy, earthy, and not overly sweet. What surprised me most was that they carry different types of chestnuts. I preferred the smaller ones, which were softer, more moist, and sweeter. The larger ones were firmer, but you can buy them already peeled, which honestly feels like a luxury if you've ever battled chestnut shells before. It's a quirky specialty shop, but a fun one to browse. And judging by the number of snowstorms coming out of the kitchen, that's clearly the move here.

Hisaya Kyoto specializes in all things chestnuts, including soft serve chestnuts, and chestnut baked goodies. I came on a hot day and got their vanilla and chestnut soft serve on a cone. I also got one of their chestnut cakes. The ice cream was very creamy and definitely a good treat after my lunch. The small cake was not too sweet and light. It had some sweetened chestnuts inside which was really nice. It came out hot and went well with the ice cream. They also have cookies, donuts, and a variety of ice creams as well. They also have drinks like their chestnut milk too. For soft serve they have their fuji soft serves which comes with toppings. I want to come back to try their other items. The people behind the counter wasn't the friendliest and out items took awhile. The inside is small and casual and not really anywhere to sit. But they do have seating outside. There is plenty of parking since it is on a strip mall.

Besides the new item, I added cherry vanilla, rocky road, and butter pecan. Guess I was feeling a bit nutty. The pineapple was a little too cakey for me but I'm glad I tried it. I was right, but that still may be a bit unusual in SoCal, where we all scream for ice cream all year 'round. Large parking lot was mostly empty when we arrived and only filled in slightly for other businesses by the time we left, around 3:15pm. It took a minute for us to get noticed by the one person working, who we called out to a few times. She took our orders and got to work filling them. While we waited, I did a bit of inter webs research on why Bruster's resembled the same set up as Handel's. Turned out Bruce (the man behind Bruster's) worked for Handel's and had some of his own ideas about changes to the Handel's way of operating that, let's just say, Handel's wasn't open to trying. So Bruce went his own way, building on the same concept of ice cream made fresh daily in-house, unique flavors and a walk-up window. Interesting. Also interesting was the small portion in my waffle bowl. It was meant to be Medium, 2 flavors, but it looked more like a small, 2 flavors. In addition, the 2 scoops were offset with one flavor hanging over the edge, rather than in the bowl. Wonky. Lots of room in the bowl, why was it hard to aim the scoops into it? No one was being rushed, no line forming. This is a treat. Something special. Take a beat for the presentation. Especially if you're not giving full scoops. Make that bowl look like you filled it as best you can with the small amount you're dishing out. I haven't had this experience at other Brewster's, so maybe it's just how this location is run, or maybe just the person on this day. Don't think I'll return to find out. Cheers! "CC"
