    Oreo blizzard thing

This is our second visit to this location and it's 1. Affordable and 2. Good ice cream I really like that they have a drive thru for convenience with kids and as soon as you make your order, the ice cream order is prepared asap- it was out in a few minutes. My husband got the vanilla cone, my youngest the chocolate cone, my oldest got the oreo mixed blizzard looking ice cream (small) and the amount was do much! Definitely a bang for your buck! I got the hot fudge sundae (small) - mine was the most expensive but it's okay! Total came out to $19 which is not bad considering you pay way more at other places.

Have driven this Fosters Freeze for years finally stoped by for Oreo milk shake and coffee flavored milk shake. Perfect treat to cool off during this Southern California heat wave. Both milkshake has a nice blend of sweetness. I didn't hav to request for less sugar. Creamy smooth Oreo flavor milkshake. The coffee flavor was a new twist I had not tried before and flavor was just right not too strong, but the caffeine will keep you up if you're not a regular caffeine consumer. Also ordered their French fries, I know I know crispy French fries is a really good compliment with the nice chilled milkshakes. If you haven't tried it, worth taking a shot at it. The owners were so friendly. Apparently they operate this location and the other location in Old Town Torrance. We love Old Town Torrance and look forward to visiting that location as well. I especially appreciate seeing Cambodian own businesses near us in the Southbay.

THEY TAKE CARD!! This is easily the best ice cream in the area and the nostalgia adds even more reason to come. The menu is huge, and I try to get something new everything. The Pb&j ....OMG!! and the hot fudge brownie will have you rethink how much brownie pieces you can actually handle in ice cream, seriously they load it UPPP!!!

My kids were craving ice cream and this location is super close to our house so we decided to try this place. I was kind of hesitant at first cuz of all the bad customer reviews and wrong pricing, whatever but still gave it a try. We ordered from the window, not drive thru also. Kiddos ordered like the second from the smallest cup oreo ice cream which is kinda big honestly, and I ordered a small pineapple sundae. I paid $22 for all three. I think price is fine, right? The cups were big in my opinion and they're full of ice cream, all the way up literally.. The oreo ice cream was really good, kids loved it. Also my pineapple sundae was good. Simple vanilla ice cream I guess, topped with some type of pineapple topping/puree, whipped cream and nuts. Really tasty. Guy who helped me seemed ohkay, I asked him which sundae flavor was the best he couldn't really tell saying everyone likes something different. Guess he wasn't wrong lol I just needed help choosing a flavor. Anyways didn't see anything wrong with the people working there, not that I interacted with any more of them but yeah. Outdoor sitting is really convenient. Lots of tables and space for kids.

Each time I stop by , I enjoy a burger and something sweet, this time I got a chocolate shake. The burger is simple buy it brings back memories. The food comes out quickly and looks great. The employee is friendly The service has been very good each time I stop by. They do have inside seats and outdoor seating too. It's a comfortable place to eat

    Just horrible

I never heard of Fosters Freeze until a few months ago but I always wanted to come here and check out all the ice cream options. If you love Shakes and Burgers this is the perfect place. There is so many options at reasonable prices and the food comes out relatively quick, so far I had a Oreo and worms and dirt twister and they have all came out nicely and perfectly mixed. The cashier workers are nice and the overall location is clean. Definitely worth checking out on the weekend when you want something sweet.

    Soft serve

First time at any Foster's Freeze: OK food, good soft serve, OK but confusing prices, adequate service. Stopped by here with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon. She mentioned that there used to be a lot of Foster's Freezes in Long Beach, but they closed down. This one in Carson (independently owned, franchised from the original Fosters which opened in 1946) seemed to be the closest one still open. It was going to be a final stop for ice cream during a lunch excursion, but we ended up having eating here too, since our initial restaurant was closed for a private function. Fosters Freeze Carson is a walk-up (the dining room is closed) with open air seating, and a drive-thru; we were the only non-drive thru customers during our stay. The menu and prices reminded me very much of the other burger restaurants scattered throughout this area. Interaction is done through narrow windows...definitely got the sense it is locked for safety concerns. Result is, it's a bit hard to communicate and EVERYTHING has to be individually asked for (i.e. there are no condiments, utensils, nothing available self-serve). I got the vibe that the cashier wouldn't appreciate me asking for free water. We ended up getting two burgers (one single cheese and the other a double cheese with bacon), and a side of chili fries...costing about $22 (so it's not cheap). There is a 3.5% surcharge for use of credit/debit cards (they prefer cash). After about 5 minutes, the burger was ready and I picked it up through a similar window. The burgers are large (area of a BK whopper), with very fresh toppings and well constructed, using thin from frozen burger patties. The double filled me up, enough to not really eat much of the fries (it was OK...not a fan of the Cincinnati-style chili they used). I went back up to get two soft serve cones, both of them dipped. They have two choices of soft serve: vanilla and chocolate (SM: $2.14 and L: $3.39 with them being dipped with chocolate (think Magic Shell) as an option +$1.98 each. It's funny...the small ended up being a bit short...but the large was very (too) big...there is nothing in between. The soft serve itself (vanilla) was OK, it was a french style with egg yolks (at least I hope that's why the ice cream was yellow). It wasn't very dense, resulting in it melting pretty quickly...I couldn't finish it. Next time, I would just get a small (no dip) for $2.14 and pay cash.

Triple Berry Cheesecake Twister with chocolate dipped cone
    Jack A.

My partner and i have been wanting to try this place out since we've moved in to the area. We like places like sonics and DQ but there aren't any around so today I ordered their triple berry cheesecake twister in medium, my partner ordered a small chocolate dipped vanilla cone. We both love our sweet treats! My partner really likes the quality of the vanilla ice cream and I love the little cheesecake bites in my twister(it also has berry pieces). We were the only ones in the drive thru so service was quick and nice.

The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which always makes a meal that much better. To start, we shared the coconut shrimp and the crack fries, and wow... the crack fries absolutely lived up to their name. They were dangerously addictive. Crispy, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating. We kept reaching for "just one more" until the basket was empty. The coconut shrimp was also fantastic and a perfect starter to share. For entrees, my parents split the vegan Korean glass noodles and absolutely loved them. They were packed with flavor and surprisingly hearty. I ordered the Korean breakfast, which was my favorite dish of the meal. I'm a huge bulgogi fan, and everything on the plate was savory, flavorful, and satisfying. My sister-in-law got the kimchi fried rice, which was also delicious, and my brother ordered the Filipino breakfast burrito. It was good, but compared to everything else we tried, it wasn't the standout dish for our group. My only real complaint was that it was pretty warm inside the restaurant. The AC didn't seem to be running, and there was only one small window open, so it got a little uncomfortable during brunch. That said, the food, service, and overall atmosphere more than made up for it. We all left happy, and the ultimate seal of approval came from my mom, who said she'd happily come back. Considering she usually hates eating out, that's probably the highest compliment a restaurant can get.

They go for the presentation with the floral and greens to jazz up the look. Hubby's dish was straight ahead- Bulgogi cheesesteak and fries. Also modest in portions. Iced decaf Americano in a plastic cup and OJ in a plastic cup. Kinda odd considering their price points. Some beverages are in mugs. This was more like a 2.75 stars rounded up to 3.

I ended up here not because of Yelp, but because another restaurant failed to open at 11 am, and I was on a time crunch. The restaurant is actually splint between a full-fledged bakery, a kitchen, and a dining area. I got the sense that the dining area was acquired from an adjacent storefront next to the existing bakery. The decor was certainly entertaining. Fake flowers and plastic quetzals adorn the dining area, reminiscent of the Tiki House at Disneyland. There are large posters of Guatemala in the store front, but all the staff spend most of the time behind in the kitchen. It took me a while to get the attention of the waitress to order my food. The menu items looked authentic, but the food was rather bland. I had the traditional Guatemelan sausage with beans and rice. I think the main attraction for the business is really the bakery. The restaurant is more of an afterthought. I did get some bread to go to share with my co-workers, and they were delighted. Three small bread sold for a dollar, which is a kick-ass deal, especially for how good they taste. I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here, but if I am inspired again to try some authentic Guatemelan bread, I'll swing by again.

I always order the prime rib medium rare with the soup and French fries. The prime rib is consistently delicious, flavorful, and tender, with a rich beefy flavor that really hits the spot. It's cooked just the way I like it, and every visit reminds me why I've been coming back for so many years. The portions are generous, and the meal is satisfying from start to finish. One of the things I appreciate most about this restaurant is its classic atmosphere. The interior feels like a step back in time, with an old-school charm that is becoming harder to find these days. It has the feel of a traditional steakhouse from the 1960s, and the nostalgic vibe adds a lot to the overall dining experience. It's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a good meal, and appreciate a piece of local history. There is a parking lot available, which is definitely a plus, although it can be surprisingly easy to miss if you're visiting for the first time. Just keep an eye out as you're approaching the restaurant. While I miss the days when the prime rib was only $25, I understand that prices have gone up everywhere. The fact that I've continued coming here for six years says a lot about how much I enjoy the food and atmosphere. If you've never been and you're a fan of prime rib, this is a spot that's well worth checking out at least once. Chances are you'll find yourself planning a return
