Daniel fixed my dryer quickly and was super friendly! I contacted Reparo this morning at 9:15 when my dryer started making awful squeaking noises. Daniel was out here at 2 and had my problems diagnosed in the first 10 minutes. The inside of our dryer was truly disgusting with years of caked up hair and lint, but our guy was prepared with a vacuum (with enough battery and power) to make it a nonissue. Alex was super friendly and professional. He diagnosed the problem immediately with the ice maker in our fridge. It was clearly not salvageable so he got a replacement and came back the same day to install it. A fair price as well. Also, there was a little thing that I really appreciated. He put on shoe covers both times he came to our apartment so as not to track dirt in from outside. All the times someone has come by to service something, that's the only time someone has done that. I highly recommend Reparo HVAC Appliance repair!! I have a Sub-Zero built in refrigerator that needed an evaporator coil replaced. From the moment I requested a quote, I was met with nothing less than professionalism at every step of the way. I had received quotes from two other companies, that varied as much as $400. I received a firm quote from Reparo within about 10 minutes of my request. The quote was definitely better than any of the other quotes. I decided to call the company, and I was connected with Alex the owner/operator. He answered all my questions about his background and assured me he knew how to service Subzero products. He asked me a few questions about my specific job, and before we were through, he suggested that I should consider replacing the compressor as well. NEITHER of the other two companies suggested replacing the compressor. I thought "oh boy, here we go with the upsell". He explained why he made the suggestion. I thanked him and told him I would call him back if I wanted to proceed. I then immediately called SUBZERO and was put through to one of their technicians. After I explained the situation,the subzero technician said, "He's absolutely correct in suggesting replacing the compressor." I called Alex back, and asked him how much more the quote would be with the additional work, and his final number was still less than my lowest previous quote. Considering his work is guaranteed by Yelp for up to $2500, I was sold and scheduled the appointment for the next day, a Saturday. I received an updated quote and was asked for roughly 50% deposit to cover the cost of parts. The next day I received a call from Alex about an hour before the scheduled time, apologizing that he needed to travel farther than expected to get the parts and as such would arrive an hour later than scheduled. He then texted me when he was 15 min away and showed up as promised. Alex is a very talented and very respectful / polite technician. He put on shoe covers, and brought in clean moving blankets to cover the work area. He confirmed that the issue was what I had suspected it was, found the leak on the evaporator coil, and went to work on the job for the next 3 plus hours. He did an incredible job! My Subzero is as good as new again. He left my house spotless, as if nothing had even been done. I can't say enough about this company. Honest, knowledgeable, and hard working! Four of them sounded shady as hell, some of them not responding to my questions, not wanting to repair my system because profit margins were too low, or requesting absurd amounts of money upfront, but Cold Cloud Mechanical was super responsive and able to send someone out at no cost the day of. The technician, Alex, was super knowledgeable, noticing issues with my system and explained what fix he recommended, all that for free, meaning I could have taken the info and looked for someone else to do the repair. I was looking around for repair services after my Samsung freezer started acting up and their customer service was useless in helping to set up a service call. I shopped around on Yelp, most services charged an inspection/estimate fee ranging from $50-100. Reparo offered free estimates so I decided to give them a shot, and was able to quickly set up a time through the online appt booking service. Tech should up on time and took a look at freezer but before he even started to diagnose, he had to defrost which took almost 2 hours. He was then able to pinpoint the issue to one of two problems which then a quick fix. He also solved what I thought was a secondary issue with the control panel that he was also able to realign and get to work. They sent an official invoice on the service cost and receipt as well through text a signable file. He was professional and knowledgeable and offered tips on how to avoid problems in future as well as his recommendations for fridge brands. A dryer without heat puts extra strain on getting lots of laundry done, so I used Yelp Project and had several very good and quick responses. Really wonderful to have it at your fingertips, ( I am old school about some things). I went with Reparo because their first response had all the detailed information I needed to know to make a decision. No need to go back and forth with questions. From there I went on my hunch that it would carry over into their work and I was right. Detailed and organized. Alex of Repro listened (very important to me) to my concerns about why the dryer was not heating, one of which was that it may be due to a gas leak. He checked it out for me which eliminated that concern. He was also polite; introduced himself; put on shoe covers without having to be asked; listened to the problem with the dryer; quickly went to work and diagnosed the problem; gave a written estimate via text link from Reparo office for signature; went to his van (where he carries supplies of parts); fixed it and cleaned up after he was done; again text link from office with final invoice and paper invoice for my signature and payment. One thing that I realized more and more is that a lot of shops overcharge you on their diagnostic fees or just overcharges you in general preying on client's inexperience. NOT Reparo HVAC & though! :)) My dishwasher stopped working and I reached out to several companies (all of whom tried to charge me exorbitant diagnostic fees - one company even quoted me $175 for diagnostic which was obviously a rip off) but Reparo was FREE diagnostic! Peter was the technician assigned to my dishwasher project and within 15 mins he figured out what was wrong - gave me 2 options - I could either get a new dishwasher or replace the main circuit board. He gently pushed for getting a new dishwasher (but it wasn't like a high-pressure upsell - more like a gentle nudge because they make more money on the install of a new appliance rather then replacing just a part - but I didn't really mind because everyone needs to eat right?) I opted for replacing the circuit board. They also gave me 10% OFF for being a new customer! :) The new part came in 5 business days, Peter showed up and installed it and tested the dishwasher machine and made sure it was up and running! 5-Star Experience and overall would definitely recommend again! I needed someone to fix a dishwasher problem where the water was going straight into the sink and sputtering around. I put in a project bid on Yelp and this company stood out to me with their advertisement of using Kelly blue book prices and the cost of the consultation would be included in the price of the service if we choose to get it. The company sent someone out the very next day and came on time. They found the problem and was able to fix it right then and there for a great price. I even got a discount for being a first time customer. They had an easy invoice and multiple ways to pay. They were patient despite the lag on my side on paying since I was stuck in a meeting. The service was for a tenant property and they had all the tools and communication for me to be able to handle this fix remotely and not have to drive to the property. They told me the problem, sent me a detailed invoice and I paid electronically. It saved me a lot of time and was easy. He cleaned up too!
