If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I moved into a new home in LA and had to get a new HVAC system installed because the one that came with the home was 20 years old. We used Cold Cloud to replace our HVAC system in our LA condo in Sept 2025. All in all, a wonderful experience and I highly recommend them. The quote with Alex was really easy and I appreciated that they gave me two options for different tiers of equipment and that they offer to do city inspections. Everything was clear and transparent and they gave me good options to consider. Their pricing was also competitive compared to other quotes I got. The installation itself is really high quality and well done. I feel like my unit is now one of the best installed ones on the roof. My only constructive comment was that there was a bit of miscommunication during scheduling. I conveyed to their project manager and he is aware of it and they are working on streamlining and improving it. I think a simple email with the expected schedules, expected location of the crane, etc., would have helped to make sure everyone is on the same page. I recommended them already to a neighbor and they also had a good experience. The neighbor had a small drywall issue and they stood behind their work and resolved it for her without any charge so they try really hard to provide good service and to make sure you are absolutely satisfied. So to sum it up, I think they provide great equipment and great installation at good prices. This is only the beginning. " BUT " Alex came by today for the first time on time to investigate why 5 other very well known area HVAC service providers could not fix or repair or even know what was wrong with my air conditioner nor could they even diagnose of the problem. Each of them failed miserably each service call ended up with the service technician saying that they were not educated in my particular air conditioning set although it's only 3 years old. These waste of time service calls all said, they were gonna call another technician and be back in a few hours and all of them completely disappeared . I would call the following day, and all of the loser companies and loser technicians all of the big HVAC service providers took messages and never called me back ever. So today, Alex was able to ascertain what was technically wrong with the condenser what the process was in getting that resolved/repaired/exchanged and all the options for me moving forward from contact to the actual manufacturer and outlining all my options from the good to the bad. I was grateful and relieved to speak with an actual intelligent very educated HVAC technician who knew what he was doing but more importantly Alex had a professional plan to resolve my problem that sounded smart and reasonable. Thank god, he like the others didn't scratch his head and say .... I need to call another technician I'm not sure why your mini split is not pumping out cold air...and then the big company HVAC tech would completely disappear. Alex has shown initiative and has created a definitive resolute plan, which includes the extra mile of communication with the original manufacturer directly to resolve my issue. About 3 months ago Cold Cloud came to help us get rid of an odor issue in a split unit air conditioner. Prior to calling them I had checked with the company that installed the unit for us originally. They quoted an estimated price that was about 5 times the (high) amount that people generally pay. We found Cold Cloud mechanical. They quoted a price that was well within the range we expected. Their tech came to look at our problem and did not have the requisite items to repair it. He immediately left and obtained what was needed, He took the housing off of our heat exchanger, cleaned it and reassembled it. I mentioned offhandedly that we were thinking of replacing our refrigerator as it wasn't getting cold enough and cleaning the coils wasn't working. He told me that they fixed refrigerators as well. So, this time he had the part available on his vehicle. He disassembled the the fridge. Removed the frost that had built up over the defrost heater, removed and replaced the defective part. He then waited long enough to see that everything was back in order. The charges for both problems came to far less than half of the quote from the original installer, since we were a first time customer there was an added discount as well. AND, we didn't end up replacing our fridge. I (who was in the trades years ago) would recommend this Cold Cloud Mechanical to anyone! Our upstairs level gets very hot during the summer, especially in our kids' room, and so we were investigating installing a mini-split in that room. We got a number of quotes, but Alex was the only one who thoroughly measured room dimensions, air flow from each vent, etc. I was extremely impressed with his thoroughness and the amount of thought that went into his recommendations. We hired Cold Cloud, and they re-did the ductwork, installed dampers, set up a 3-zone system, and installed an air cleaner. We did not go forward with the mini-split option, and the cost for revamping the whole system was comparable to the mini-split quotes I was getting from other providers. Our house is much more comfortable, and it looks like our electricity bill is going to go down significantly as a result. Overall, I am extremely happy with the outcome. The only negative experience I had was communication with the front office - the team was hours late on the first day and the front office kept telling me that they are "really close" or "30 minutes away" multiple times. When they arrived, it turned out that a part was needed from Long Beach and they had to go get it - if the office had simply communicated that to me I would have been much more understanding of the delay. However, the team arrived on time for each subsequent day. They were very flexible with scheduling, cleaned up well after themselves, and we had minimal disruption while they worked. I especially want to highlight how amazing Alex was - if I ever need further work on my HVAC system I will definitely be reaching out to him first. read more

I mean, it is Friday night so I thought I would hear back from them the next day. Right away I knew we made a great choice. Next day, Saturday, the owner Lara reached out and gave me 2 time slots that they were available to come out. Alex was out by mid-afternoon! Couldn't believe how responsive and quick they were with their service! Alex was able to rectify the ice machine issue we had. The ice was freezing over, would abruptly shut off of into service light and it was extremely frustrating. We wanted to have our units looked at after the fires to make sure they were working properly and didn't have any damage. Thank you Sergei for fixing a problem that no other HVAC company I tried to hire for the issue could fix. I had been smelling the crawl space from the floor vents and no one else said they could smell it. I was starting to feel like I was crazy or something. He found that some of our ducts were not attached properly and instead of trying to sell me a new duct as others did, he simply attached them and cleaned the evaporator coil. The smell is so much better! In addition, he gave me free advice on how to filter the air better with another location for the filter with pictures and information he texted over later on. They were extremely professional, timely, and buttoned up -- and everyone on their team was responsive and helpful. I am happy to be this company's 100th review on Yelp! They provided top notch service from start to finish when I needed a dryer repaired. The lady who scheduled my appointment was very nice. The gentleman who came out to repair the dryer vacuumed a lot of lint out of it. I was embarrassed that there had been so much inside but he was nice to say it's like this for a lot of dryers. The dryer needed a new belt, but he didn't have one large enough so he came back the next day with one to finish the job. We wanted to pay him for his time but he said to wait until he finished the job. The dryer works flawlessly now. I liked how prompt the responses were, and my repairman Eugene was very nice. Everything was smooth and I would've been very happy with the repair of my dishwasher were actually repaired. Eugene came on Thursday 6/20 to fix my dishwasher, and was very quick and efficient (and even wore booties!) by replacing my latch and working with me on aligning the dishwasher exactly where I wanted it. In total, it took about 30 min. After he left, I was satisfied and he showed me that the dishwasher was latching properly again. Yesterday (Friday) I tried to use the dishwasher for the first time after the repair and the door wouldn't close. I sent Eugene a message this morning (Saturday) about the issue and he came immediately and worked on it for about an hour. In the end, he told me it was a gasket damage issue preventing the door from closing, and refunded me everything except my diagnostic fee. When I asked about replacing the gasket, he recommended I just get a new dishwasher. I understand my year old Samsung dishwasher may have some previous damage from the original installer, but at the very least before I called Reparo, my dishwasher was still working even though it leaked. Now the door won't close at all so I'm pretty bummed that I'm left with a dishwasher that's even less usable than it was prior to all this. read more

Service tech did a comprehensive evaluation of our poorly-performing air conditioner, rapidly found a leakage that had been overlooked by a previous tech (different firm), repaired the leak, replaced another electrical concern, found that the earlier tech had misled us on the viability of two capacitors, and thoroughly cleaned the heat-dissipating hardware. This is my honest review of the services I've received: Needed a commercial refrigerator fixed. Booking appt was easy. Told they would show up between 9-11am. Alex showed up at 11:10am. Apologized for the delay and gave me a little discount to make up for the delay. What I liked about Alex was that he seemed honest. ME not knowing anything about fridge could have easily been up charged or told I need to buy a new component etc. but Alex told me to do bare minimum to see if that will fix the issue (and it did!) before going to more expensive options. Alex did analysis starting from the blower to the conductor. In the beginning he suspect it was the issue with signal wire, but then later he thought about it's probably with the conductor. After replacing the conductor, the compressor returned to work. In contrast to the repairman visited 1 day before, the last person couldn't fix the problem, but still charge me $165, and tried to convince me install a new system. Alex's service is professional.
