mentaiko potato pan ($8)
- my fav of the two pastries! If yk me i will never miss out on a mentaiko dish
- this was actually packed with potato and mentaiko, but not overly carby at the same time
- mentaiko added the perfect umami flavor i was looking for
- came out warm and fresh!
beef curry pan ($7.5)
- THIS WAS SO CHEWY, i was actually putting effort into chewing; it was also coated with panko? So it had this slight crunchy texture that i love too
- curry was on point but a bit more salty than i liked; it was good but my personal preference is a sweet curry so im a little biased n will tell you i like the mentaiko more hehe
hojicha ($7)
- a really pretty hojicha that actually tastes good too
- hojicha was strong and smooth although my personal preference is having an even stronger tea flavor like the one from cha&
- still, it's a quality one worth ordering
rating: 4.6/5
- this spot used to be a Vietnamese cafe that i loved so i was sad to see it go but i love this new spot even more
- all the pastries we tried were just so on point and it really brought the taste of japan to ny! So sad to leave this neighborhood but ill still be coming back
- not only was the flavor on point, the texture and freshness were also top tier
- the space was cozy, quiet, and cute... hidden in a part of brooklyn that not many people wander into
- really wanted to gatekeep but im also hoping the business do well
- super welcoming and warm service; cashier was giving happy excited energy
- the store carries curated asian products and snacks so i thought that was super cool n unique
- IF YOURE IN BROOKLYN PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY
