I stopped in here on my way to Bari Zaki for a coffee and decided to try their Lox sandwich as well. The oat milk latte was lovely and just what I needed. The sandwich was nice, aside from thick cut red onions that obliterated the delicate flavor of smoked salmon. I hope that was a fluke and they thin slice those bad boys normally. Everything else about the sandwich was tasty and fresh. Additionally, they had good customer service despite the place being hopping busy the entire time I was there- attentive, polite, and moving about competently (no sense of chaos or disorganization). So happy I came across this coffee shop. I have been looking for a good coffee shop since moving to Chicago. The coffee was really really good and the breakfast sandwich was seriously amazing. I got the bacon egg and cheese. It had such good flavor. I also tried the marshmallow iced latte and loved it. It's was the perfect amount of sweet with still being able to taste the cofffee, which is what I love. I will be coming back many more times! read more

I was excited to try a local coffee spot. Ordered an oat latte. The coffee was just okay and the latte had no art, just a blob of foam. Really sad and disappointed . I also had a veggie sandwich which I had to wait extra for because the person who ordered after me grabbed mine first. They don't use numbers or names so it's a free for all. The staff actually asked me to wait for my sandwich even though I had clearly ordered it first. The sandwich was very acidic, heavy on the pickles. Not what I was expecting for a breakfast sandwich. Agree with others that say the staff aren't the friendliest. read more

Trying out new coffee shops in Chicago & out of the tons that I've been to, this was the worst one :( had one of their specialty lattes that was 8 DOLLARS and I'm pretty sure it was just warm milk. Such a disappointment and crazy expensive. It was so bad that I had to go to another coffee shop to redeem this one. read more

It's a great little coffee shop!! Loved: 1) all the natural light 2) the high tables and bar chairs 3) the fresh mint and lemon water 4) the artwork on the brick wall inside 5) the free WiFi, made working easier 6) the music choices The croissants are delicious, I just had a plain one, but it was perfect. I also ordered the mocha and the barista did some nice foam art Because this place is new it's not too busy which was nice! And if you check in on yelp you get a free 16 oz drink to use now or later. DRINKS: Hot or Cold, these guys know how to make delicious drinks: cappuccino, latte, frappe and many more, but marshmallow latte and affogato - are my favorites. By the way, their tea is also sooo good! I tried Lord Bergamont. FOOD: Delicious pastries and sandwiches will steal your heart :) Hands down to Mozarella&Basil and Lox sandwiches! I ordered delivery from this place thru Uber. I anticipated a delicious English muffin sandwich with egg and bacon as shown in the photo. Don't get me wrong, I'm never foolish enough to think the food is going to look exactly like the images they present....BUT in this case the sandwich was soooo disappointingly far from that it was presented that I had to write this negative review. This was my second experience at coffee joint and both times I have been very pleased with this spot! The first time, I decided to take the afternoon drinking a latte and finishing up some personal business. I easily found a spot to sit and enjoy my espresso. The vibe is very relaxed and welcoming. I love a good spot with high stool and bar seating.... they have a small menu of sandwich items as well as a small area of bakery items. Enough to keep you content for your afternoon! Also, they and these BOMB coffee candies in the bathroom that I very much enjoyed. Second visit-- equally as enjoyable. Stopped in for a cold brew during Yelp's cafe week, and love the cold brew! It's flavorful and also delicate-- delicate enough that I didn't need any creamer/milk. Exactly how I like my cold brew! It met almost all the criteria--great coffee, brilliant music playlist, solid eats, and nice employees. The only thing missing was comfortable seating (they only have wooden high top chairs) Coffee: their latte options were stunning--maple pecan, toasted marshmallow, whites chocolate hazelnut (which is what I got! Amazing flavor combo) Music: it was as if my own Spotify was playing--an ecclectic mix of The Lumineers, Lorde, Amy Winehouse, etc. Not too loud, not too quiet Eats: they stock ample goodies from West Town bakery (would highly recommend the red velvet donut!) Great feel to this Coffee Joint on Irving Park just west of Damen. Not a ton of seating inside but a great vibe with exposed brick, wood floors and a high ceiling. The outdoor area is well appointed as well. Both of our coffee drinks were very tasty and delivered just right. We selected the standard varieties (Americano) but they have a couple of sweet-treat coffees on the menu. Coffee Joint offers a variety of dessert items and sandwiches for food. They also have a refrigerator case with some non-coffee beverage options. It's my sense that the prices are a bit high even for an independently owned coffee establishment. Nonetheless, we liked it enough that we'll be back for another round. read more

I love supporting local businesses and love even more when they provide a good product with great service. And you know when the owner is there making your sandwich and coffee for you that your order is made with pride. And their space is beautiful - very modern looking with a clean look. It's nice to sit by the window and watch the busy world go by too, a kind of solace from the troubles of the world. Looking forward to the summer when they get their outdoor patio open. It's not on the main street, but on the side street that doesn't get much traffic so it should be a good space to chill. read more

We arrived in the neighborhood a few minutes before we could check in for our AirBnB, so we stopped in here for a drink and a small lunch. The service was friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed. I enjoyed checking out the details of the murals on the wall while waiting for the sandwich. I got the mozzarella and basil sandwich (which also included tomato) and it was delicious, with perfectly fresh ingredients. If I lived in the area I'd stop by here frequently! read more

I was so disappointed. Sandwich was a tiny English muffin with egg, cheese, sliced spicy cajun sausage and one sliced pickle. I ordered an agg and cheese with Italian sausage. Inedible, unfortunately. The London Fog was just black tea with milk. The strawberry coconut drink tasted like cough medicine. This place is coffee lovers heaven! When you walk in the inviting smell of coffee beans just greet your nose and make love to your senses! I had the marshmallow latte. It's absolutely amazing! It comes with a homemade torched marshmallow on top which is all carmelized, burnt, sweet and goey. They also give you a piece of chocolate on the saucer which was delicious. They also have infused water for customer with blueberries, strawberries and mint - so refreshing! The have a nice selection of teas as well and offer oat milk as a non dairy alternative. Also the bathroom smells like flowers and lavender, which is hard to accomplish. read more
