On our way to a scenic drive through Lolo Pass Rd., the hubby and I stopped for our morning cup of crack... I mean coffee. The coffee shop is inside a strip mall (I want to say it's in the Thrifty's trip mall but I'm not sure) towards the rear. The exterior is rather plain and simple. When you enter your met by comfortable warmth (at least during the winter). It has a nice large seating area with a large TV w/cable (always a plus). They have a good and very reasonably priced selection of drinks. The husband order a mocha (his signature drink w/whip cream) and I ordered the Mexican mocha. Both drinks were nice and hot but not look at the sun and go blind hot. we were staying at a near by cabin and needed our daily coffee. this was close, semi good ratings and heard it was always popping off. i got a sugar free white mocha and it tasted like straight frosting. it was disgustingly sweet, and trust me i like my coffee sweet. i took two sips and threw it away it was horrible. my friend got almond milk latte and the shots were old and bitter. it tastes more bitter then a black americano. not to mention their espresso shots are put in this olive oil jar with the metal nozzle stocked in the fridge. the shots aren't fresh and who knows how long those shots have been in the fridge. nothing about this place is fresh, hip, or tatsty. they have no idea what they be doing there for real. my group and i all work in the coffee industry so we have the insights and knowledge. i paid 8.50 for ONE 20oz iced coffee that i ended up throwing away. read more

This cute little café is tucked away in the middle of a strip mall, a diamond in the rough. I love the decor and ski lodge feel of the place. Their homemade scones were so amazing, lots of berries and fruit. Their breakfast bagel sandwiches are pretty hearty especially when paired with a one of their lattes. My husband had a sourdough panini breakfast sandwich that he enjoyed. The employees seem happy to be there and the dining areas was pretty clean. Coffee Brewsters is absolutely filthy. So many surfaces are coated with a layer of thick dust, the carpets are covered with mysterious stains, and I wouldn't sit on the couch if someone paid me. If you peer over the counter, it's a similar situation. Dirt, coffee grounds, and who knows what else cover the majority of the floor/tops of bins/under counter. I ordered a pastry from a "bakery in Portland" (like cmon, I know a Safeway Apple strudel when I see one) because it looked safe, but it was so stale I felt like I was chewing on a boot. Not worth the $3.75 or whatever they charge you for it. Not to mention all the marked up dollar tree merchandise floating around the store. Coffee Brewsters is a wonderfully warm haven nestled in the land of ice and snow. I'm glad we now have a place we can trust for good coffee on the way to and from the mountain. They have a multitude of syrups, which included lavender...my absolute favorite syrup. I'm always excited when lavender is around, although it doesn't necessarily mean the establishment is going to put out a quality drink. Well, at Coffee Brewsters it does! Was here twice last weekend. The first drink was a 12 oz, two-shot, half-sweet lavender latte. The second, a 12 oz, two-shot, half-sweet lavender cappuccino. Noticing a trend here? Totally worth it to add the extra shot (only $0.50, whereas some places charge three-times that) and also a good idea to half the syrup, otherwise it would have been way too sweet. They also sell a variety of breakfast and lunch items as well as greeting cards and a product that allows you the flavor your snow before you eat it. Interesting.
