Hickory BBQ Burger

Was driving through town craving a burger. Hickory BBQ Burger was a 10/10. Bartender's energy and charisma 10/10. Loved the outdoor seating area would highly recommend this spot.

Perfect place to stop after a day on the mountain. Large menu of specialty burgers and wraps. Large outside seating area with live music in the summer, inside seating as well. Drinks, beer, kombucha, and cider on tap.

BBQ pork wrap. Meh

Haven't been in for quite a while. Ordered, paid then sat outside. Gluten free bunned cheeseburger. Very bland and under seasoned. Bun is OK. Not toasted, which makes a big difference. Coated fries were fine. Service as expected

Veggie Burger wrap

Solid place for a quick lunch or dinner on your way home from the mountain. They have indoor seating, a great patio and a drive through! During the summer, they have music on the patio. I got a burger wrap with a vegetarian Patty and my friend ordered the same thing with the beef and bacon. 10/10 wrap. Highly recommend. Worth the stop!

Decimated burger wrap

I have driven by this place more times than I can count, and until this trip, I've always just appreciated their name and driven on. This time however, I was HUNGRY and the idea of driving over the pass without dinner wasn't going to fly. We were able to call ahead while we were just leaving Sandy to place our order. I had the Burger Wrap, and it hit. It was so good. The flavors, the burger, the veggies, the pickles, the fries, the sauce.... It was all that you could hope for. I would 100% come back for that. We drove on that day, but the vibes seemed really on point - I would definitely come sit in that yard! If you, like me, have always just driven on by - consider stopping in to give it a try sometime.

Hamburger Wrap, no additional toppings.

A "Must-Stop-When-Hungry". I passed this little place when returning from a day on the slopes at Mt. Hood. The sign with "Gourmet Wraps" caught my eye. It is a small, very nicely decorated spot to grab a bite and a brew. The young gentleman at the bar suggested the Hamburger Burrito, and offered additional toppings, but also said it was great the way it comes. Man, what a mind-blowing wrap. He was dead on when he said it was the fan fav. I very highly recommend this spot if you want a wrap that is not easily forgotten. It is on my saved favorites.

Big field to throw a football or other

The food and service was amazing!! Must try their homemade hot sauce! The cayenne was my favorite. The ambience is low key and good vibes. Dog friendly with a large field in the back. Highly recommend.

Sad Cuban sandwich.

Ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was just sad. Dry meat, no pickle, no sauce. It was basically unseasoned pork, a slice of ham, cheese and bun. Very disappointing.

Stopped by this gem of a place during our recent trip to Mt Hood Village where most of the places shut down by 8PM. Surprisingly this place was open and empty on a Friday evening. We ordered their Rattlesnake burger (delicious chipotle spread), Spicy chicken taco, veggie taco, Santa Fe veggie wrap, sweet potato fries & onion rings. The santa fe wrap was okay but rest of our food was delicious. If you want to enhance the flavors even more add the hot sauces they have on the table to take it to the next level. Fries and onion rings were delicious too. Service was good. Food was out pretty quick. Decor is nice and cozy with ski-vibes and beach vibes. They do have outdoor seating as well. Hard to miss this place on the main street while in Welches. Highly recommend.

I hate to share this secret, but I was shocked when this place wasn't packed right now (but the bbq place up in Zig Zag had a full parking lot). Glad I bailed on that idea and came here. This place has good beer, great burgers (and a pretty extensive menu with other options), service was good and it's like you are eating in a beautiful backyard. Highly recommend.

My fiance planned a wonderful mountain getaway for us, and lucky for me- we had dinner reservations here. It was so chilly in December, We had a cold mountain day, and we bundled up to go to our dinner reservations and I have to say- I wasn't expecting much when I heard the name "Grill". I was thinking- burgers, fries, your typical post-ski grub. I was wrooong! We strolled into the coziest little restaurant and were greeted by the two lovely people working there. Felt like I very sweet family vibe. They steered us in the directions of the pasta dishes we ordered, and we had the Soup of the Day to start- I believe it was some kind of Tomato bisque and that hit the spot. The Hazelnut pasta was a hit for my fiance, and I loved that he got to try such a classic Oregon flavor in a pasta- how fun. My chanterelle ravioli filled me up so fast, I also loved being able to try chanterelles in this format. Both dishes felt very creative and full of so much Oregon pride! Delicious!

Prices are pretty high but we've found that the quality is consistently good, though this year felt a bit less. I enjoyed a patty melt with sweet potato fries. Kids grilled cheeses also were enjoyed. Hamburger was good, though I liked the patty melt more. The alfredo and cod were just average. For desert, I got the chocolate torte, which was a big letdown (especially since it cost $15!). I may decide to try a new place next year.

It leaned modern with traditional inspirations and was clean. You see hit with a delicious smell upon entering. The staff were friendly and greeted and seated us right away. They were, in general, a bit slow paced. But no complaints. We were a large group and they dealt with us well. The menu covers an array of Indian classics that most Americans would be familiar with, with appetizers, drinks, meat, and veggie options. The food was served nicely. Pricing was as on the upper average side, but the portions were good. The food tasted good, but it wasn't super classic in flavor. The mango tikka was unique but delicious. The vindaloo wasn't the flavor I'm used to, but was still delicious.

Many patrons dining-in didn't have food, so maybe we were among the Monday dinner rush or maybe this is how the business runs here. Upon entering the business, one of the waiters seemed confident that our order wasn't ready, without first asking what our order number or name was or directing us to the area for which we would pick up. The two entrees themselves were good, spice level on par, chicken breast chunks well cut, the rice sides filled the containers and were tender and well seasoned. The naan was basic, small burnt areas and cold by the time we did our five minute drive.

Not a friendly place for large groups…read more We were really the only group of people in there and I thought we'd get good service because of that. Our group came in two chunks and the host seemed annoyed by that. They pushed together another table and sat us together. It was kinda stuffy in the place so I opened up a window as it needed some fresh air. I was told it would possibly mess up the airflow of their kitchen? Some of us decided to split from the main group and sit out on the patio because of the stuffiness. The menu is for carnivores with a veggie burger and grill cheese for vegetarians but not really anything but chips and salsa for vegans. We also found out they only take 1 credit card and cash and no split bills. We were a large group of 14 people. It was a huge pain in the rear to figure out the mess. Honestly some of our party left and went elsewhere when they find that out. Not everyone had enough cash to cover them. When my burger came out they served it to the wrong person and we didn't figure it out for at least 10 minutes. So I got an already eaten plate. It was ok but they should be able to know who ordered what. Our waitress seemed annoyed by us and honestly not that friendly. My burger was overcooked and tasted like cardboard. There were no condiments like mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise on the table. We had to go get some. Just not a good experience here. I won't be back. I ordered my burger and fries and asked for it cooked medium.

It was also in the middle of a heat wave in OR, so we asked to sit outside. After my husband snagged our table, I brought our well-trained and well-behaved Siberian with us to the patio. There was another poorly-behaved dog, but my dog could not have cared any less, and it was far enough away that it didn't bother me too much either. The outdoor seating was minimal and basic, but did the job. Thankfully there was shade from the umbrellas. I put my dog in his "tuck" command under me as he is trained to do at restaurants, and proceeded to look at the menu. To be honest, the food looked pretty good, and also smelled pretty good, as I watched other patrons get their meals. However, we were still pretty stuffed, so we settled with a beer flight. The beers were out to our table pretty quickly, but after trying them, my husband and I came to the consensus that we expected more from the only brewing company in town. As another Yelper put it, the beers fell flat for us too. I was hoping there would be more/different notes to each beer, which is the whole point of sampling multiple, but they all seemed quite monotone. It started getting pretty warm underneath our umbrella, so we quickly wrapped up our beer flight and left. The view was gorgeous, and the location splendid (hence the 4 stars), and perhaps next time I'd be down to try one of their dishes, specifically the elkburger, but I was a little disappointed in the beer. I've been to plenty of breweries to enjoy beers there and also bought craft beers/growlers for home, so I'd like to say I'm decently versed in beer, but this missed the mark.
