Clean bright space with an excellent selection of desserts and coffees. Crepe was amazing and the service was excellent.

I've been to Cocomelt twice now - it's basically EVERY time that I come to Seoul Bites, I inadvertently find myself going to Cocomelt for coffee and dessert afterwards. I love their ambiance - we all know they made sure this was the hangout spot for the cool kids, and that you can take plenty of post-worthy selfies. That being said, the first time around the service was prompt, the food was delicious, especially the coffee, and it was an astounding experience. This time around, it was prime dinner/post-dinner time, there were only two people working, and the coffee was incredibly watered down. I tried their honey cake, and the taste was delicious, but the actual sponge was very CLEARLY stale, and that was bothersome, because price wise, this place is absolutely not cheap. I don't mind paying the price, but this time around the coffee was watered down (not even the same color) AND the cake was stale. The general ambiance, as always, was fantastic!

No doubt it's a really cool place for selfies and dessert pics. It really is a beautiful space with cozy booths and seating areas. Hello, Instagram. And I loved the Dubai Chocolate. But then I kinda lose that lovin' feeling a bit. The other desserts we ordered didn't knock my socks off and I felt the service was really lacking. If you order at your table and they serve you your desserts, why don't they at least bring napkins with it? Or maybe water? Are they a sit-down establishment like they look like they are or are they self-serve? I think they should decide to be one or the other. 3 stars is a bit too low and 4 stars feels too high. I'd give it a 3.5 stars if that existed

Shoutout to Malik! He's an excellent worker and incredibly personable! Everything at Cocomelt is halal, and I've brought many friends here; everyone leaves loving it. The food is delicious and flavorful, but the desserts and drinks are truly the stars. The chocolate is always rich, thick, and decadent, and the drinks are just as amazing. I especially love the pistachio kanafeh shake! It's so yummy, textured, and totally satisfying if you love drinks with toppings. Overall, Cocomelt is the perfect spot if you're looking for a high quality sugar rush. Delicious treats, amazing drinks, and friendly staff make it a must visit!

have you ever wanted to try the viral Dubai chocolate?! This is was my first time here and I already know I'm going to be back! I've always wanted to try the viral Dubai chocolate and I'm so glad I was able to get my hands on it here at Cocomelt! It was everything I expected and more. I also loved the vibes in here! There were so many people there hanging out with friends and family, you can definitely see that it's a well loved spot. I just wish there was more seating available, because it was a bit awkward waiting for a spot to sit down. Other than that, I look forward to coming back!

Beautiful place, great service and delicious treats!! Enjoyed the desserts each time I have come here. Special mention to their lotus desserts!

Let me tell you about this sweet paradise I found this past weekend. Cocomelt showed up on my IG feed a few weeks ago and I knew I had to go see the hype for myself! The inside is so cute, with tons of beautiful seating, and wall pieces. They have the viral Dubai chocolate but it was sadly out of stock when we went, but I will definitely be going back to try it out!! The service was great, we were in and out so quickly! They have tons of dessert options ranging from cake slices, croissants, crepes, waffles, and chocolate bars to coffees, teas, and milkshakes! Alright so we tried the lotus biscoff crepe - it was UNREAL YOU GUYS! There was biscoff crumbs, chocolate drizzle, it was just the perfect balance of flavors. I cannot wait to go back for more I'm still dreaming of it to this day!!! We also tried the kinder sushi roll which had kinder chocolate inside with a chocolate drizzle on top and chocolate dipping sauce on the side. Definitely a chocolate overload but if you're into that, this is your jam! This is the perfect dessert lounge with so many options and they have so much variety! So excited that a spot like this has opened up in the suburbs! 10/10 recommend!

It's decent, lovely feminine ambience. Food is good, the crepe is light and airy. But if I compare it to "melt n dip " , I prefer the crepe at melt n dip a little more. The service is top tier though. Super friendly staff. Lots of seating inside.

This was an amazing dessert place. Their Dubai Chocolate was very flavorful, and their crepes were all top level. I would highly recommend this place.

Walked into this place and it is so cute! Very nice for Instagram pictures as well. It was pretty busy when we walked in. Quickly knew what we wanted to order so that made it easier. The staff was friendly. I ordered the kunafa croissant and knuafa bar....because everyone has been eating/trying it so you know...had to try it as well! I absolutely LOVED the croissant! It was not too sweet, the crunch was there, it was a perfect buttery croissant. The bar I thought was good but a little too sweet for my liking. It also melted really fast while holding it. Definitely will have to come back again to try out the other stuff on the menu and the drinks.

Stopped here because I heard they are selling the Viral Dubai Chocolate Bar which didn't live up to the hype for me and the cost was $11! They have a self service kiosk setup for ordering and the customer service was good. The lounge has a nice pink ambiance and they also have a prayer room which is cool.

    Pistachio latte
    Victoria S.

The interior design is very pretty and modern with neon signs and fake plants which makes it a very cute cafe, however, it is severely overpriced for very average items. I got the pistachio latte and the good and bad part was it had chunks of real pistachio in it, but it was undrinkable bc there was so many chunks that I was almost choking on the amount. I drank only half because I got tired of filtering the liquid from the chunks with my teeth through the straw. The latte was $9. I also got a chocolate croissant that was $7 that had barely any chocolate filling and it was all dough. However, the service was nice and brought out our items to our table, but I will not be coming back.

Loved Coco Melt! The ambiance is great -- spacious, clean, and perfect for hanging out. They have tons of drink and dessert options, and the Cookies n' Cream waffle I got was amazing. Definitely a fun spot to satisfy your sweet tooth!

You could drive right by thinking it was a vacant building except for all the cars in the lot. The notion of vacant building is dispelled immediately upon entry. The place is busy, loud, vibrant with customers clearly enjoying the food and experience. The interior is decorated simply, with muted colors, is well lit, and clean. There are a lot of hard surfaces which makes the ambient noise level fairly high; however, it did not detract from the experience (but just be advised in case you feel this is bothersome). We were greeted warmly and though the place was packed, we were seated quickly. Despite the diner-like vibe, there is no counter, just tables and booths. Our server was prompt, very pleasant, and efficient. The coffee was hot and flavorful. The food: Large portions, well prepared, warm, savory, satisfying. The loaded Cheers omelette, with hash browns and pancakes, was more food than I could enjoy in one sitting so I have leftovers for tomorrow. Prices are in line with more reasonably priced independent eateries. A two-egg, hash browns, pancake combo is $14. This place will be an option in the future.

The place was packed, with several large parties waiting to be seated. After a few minutes the hostess appeared, and once I confirmed everyone ahead of us had already checked in, she told us the wait would be short since it was just the two of us. Despite every table being full, we were seated within five minutes. The waitstaff immediately brought water to the table, and Alexis--our server--came by shortly after to take our drink order: a latte and a freshly brewed iced tea. Both arrived promptly. After several minutes to review the menu, we ordered the Paco Taco, a side of Maple-Bacon Sausage, and a half order of Bacon & Chicken (aka Chicken & Waffles). I appreciated being able to choose my syrup and went with the spicy option. Our food arrived in about 15 minutes, served at the right temperature and looking great. The pancakes (for the Paco Taco) were fluffy, and the chicken & waffles paired perfectly with the spicy syrup. Unfortunately, the side order was missing. After waiting a bit, I reminded Alexis, who seemed a little flustered but attentive. It took another 10 minutes for the side to arrive, and by then we were nearly finished with our meal. A small hiccup, but the overall quality of the food still stood out--flavorful and well-prepared. Alexis also refilled my iced tea without me having to ask, which I appreciated. Even with the restaurant at full capacity, we were able to talk comfortably, likely because we were seated toward the back. The space is charming, nicely decorated, and offers a wide range of food and drink options. Some items are on the pricier side, and no one mentioned the 3% credit card surcharge, so that's something to be aware of. Chicago Waffles delivers delicious food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere. While our visit included a minor delay with a missing side order, the overall experience was positive--great flavors, generous portions, and a well-run restaurant even during a busy rush. Just remember to bring cash if you want to avoid the 3% credit card surcharge!

The saving grace of this place was the friendly wait staff. Was seated quickly, but had to wait a while to have our order taken. Was immediately put off by the cost-- $15 for two eggs, potatoes, and toast. Wound up deciding on two coffees , "the Liege Pearl" waffle and a skillet. The coffee was weak and terrible. None of the flavors were balanced for the dishes. Way too much cheese and barely any mushroom or potato in the skillet while the waffle has tons of chocolate dumped on it, drowning out any other flavors. The kicker was that we were given 3/4 of a full waffle. When we asked, we were told the dish normally is only HALF a waffle and that we were lucky to get an additional quarter. For $17. Even if the menu were half the cost, I would never come back here. Edit: Dropped to one star on account of the unhinged response from the owner. To clarify: as soon as you walk into the restaurant, it smells like urinal cakes. I'm happy for the owner that they are attracted to that smell, but I'm positive the majority of people don't want the smell of urinal cakes to accompany their breakfast. Also to anyone else reading this, there are four sit down restaurants within two blocks with better breakfast food at better prices that don't smell like a toilet, let alone 3 other breakfast restaurants that opened in Oak Park in the last couple of years. Do yourself a favor and eat literally anywhere else.

The homemade salsa was also just alright; some pico de gallo and a little sriracha would've added the extra flavor it needed. We also had the Senior Special VIP, and everything on that plate tasted very good. The HB chicken club wrap was another standout--really flavorful and well put together. It came with a side of fruit that didn't look the best, but the wrap itself made up for it. For drinks, we had water, tomato juice, and an iced vanilla latte.
