I returned home from college this weekend for a short Easter break with the family, and was pleasantly surprised to learn this location had finally opened! I spent the past couple of years working mainly in Boston, and fell in love with the Cocobeet there. I constantly found myself bugging the workers about opening a cafe out by me. Luckily, this new store is only 15 minutes from my house! I am so grateful for the new store, and the close proximity to my house. I went today, for the first time, and had a pitaya bowl. It was just as good as I remember. I also grabbed a few juices for the next couple of days, and am looking forward to drinking them. Cocobeet is proof-positive that high quality, healthy food can be truly delicious. I've been working my way through the whole menu and I've yet to be disappointed. My favorite so far is the curried chick pea salad and the Spice-C juice is addictive. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff very friendly. I came into Cocobeet last night around 6:15pm, 45 minutes before closing time. I was excited to order the mediterranean bowl, but the employee helping me said that they have already put the rice away. I would completely understand if it was 15 or 10 minutes before closing time, but this was unacceptable. I ended up buying one of their snacks out of the fridge and sat down to eat with my friend. About 10 minutes into sitting down I watched another lady approach the same employee and asked for a mediterranean bowl. She received the same response I did, but after she insisted the employee ended up taking out the rice and making it for her. She did this all right in front of me, a customer who she just denied the bowl to. From my understanding these employees are packing up their food way too early! And to deny one customer food just to provide it to the next customer? Unacceptable. read more

I wanted to like this place. The menu is appealing with many healthy options. But it is so poorly managed. They have had items on their online menu that they stopped serving long ago--so long that their staff had not even heard of it. The prices on the online menu are long out of date as well and when I contacted the management to tell them, I never heard back. The food is expensive and most of it is pretty uninspiring. So happy to see this place up and running. Our town is desperately in need of a food overhaul and Cocobeet is a breath of fresh air. Today I tried the Karma Kale juice, veggie quinoa bites with a kick-ass dipping sauce and the butternut squash-based pumpkin "pie" dessert. All delicious. Kids gave a big thumbs up to the Green Monkey and Tropical Breeze smoothies. Bummed I wasn't able to sample their made to order Thai-inspired bowl. I was told it wasn't ready, despite being after 11 am. Another day, perhaps. Owner said high chairs on their way and there's even a little spot for stroller parking. Nice touch, Cocobeet. Cocobeet is a great place to get takeout from, but it is not that great to eat at. There is lots of noise from the kitchen, there isn't much space to eat and there is only plastic silverware and no plates. They do use compostable containers, though. The food is extremely good. For example, they have sunflower butter and jelly sandwiches, and they look like they're made for the president of the U.S..Everything was very tasty and we felt we made a healthy choice. Absolutely addicted to this place. They have great juices and healthy shots which I have been taking like crazy to get through this winter sick season. I love how nutritious they make all of their food while having such an amazing taste. The Sweet potato toast is absolutely amazing and their salads are all super delicious too. I have had every salad and my favorites tie between the rainbow kale salad(I love that they add nutritional yeast which is a good source of B12 for vegans) and the quinoa burger salad. A little on the pricey side for what you actually get. My friend ordered the oatmeal and then when I did right after her, they said it's was old and cold and they weren't serving it. I had said no problem but can my friend change her order because she just ordered it as well and was already charged. Then they felt the oatmeal, said oh, it's still actually warm and served it to us. It tasted ok, but for the price we paid for old oatmeal I definitely won't be ordering that again. I had told myself I would only visit this place once every few weeks as a" treat", because, as an avid Paleo eater, I can easily spend my paycheck on healthy grab-and-go items that don't require me to spend hours in my kitchen. However, I was back for visit #2 only a three days after completely falling in love with their strawberry-lime "yogurt" (non-dairy, probiotic joy in a cup). On my second visit, I met the owner, welcomed him to the neighborhood and mentioned how much I had truly enjoyed the yogurt on my first visit. He suggested I try the chia pudding, which I brushed off, considering I make it at least weekly at home. This man leveled his eyes at me and, with a very serious inflection, said "It's the best chia pudding you will ever have." Folks, this man was right. This was, by far, the BEST chia pudding I have ever had. EVER. I had always considered my own pretty solid, but I was wrong. I have never achieved that kind of texture. Never achieved that kind of flavor with that balance of sweetness.... And I'm a culinary professional. I am addicted to this place. LOVE! When I saw this adorable spot on Wellesley main I almost jumped up in the air and I am 30 weeks pregnant so I held the enthusiasm inside. I have been dying for a Vegan/Veg option. I had the Green Energy Bowl and it was fantastic! I am kind of a smoothie snob so I really appreciate a good one. Not only was the bowl beautiful, but really tasty with the crunch from the toasted coconut and fresh fruit on top. I haven't tried the salads yet, but can't wait. I have a vegan smoothie every day, and this place has great smoothies. I have come here for a couple years now every time I visit. It's hard to find good smoothies in the Boston area (in LA we have so many), so I am glad this one exists. I love the chocolate power mylk and mocha espresso ones. I was excited to see a different kind of establishment come to this intensely suburban strip of Central. I love vegan food and health food in general, and have been searching for more places to pick up a drink and a coffee to go. The food nearby I find unpalatable to inedible and always over-rated, so I was optimistic about Cocobeet. Sadly, after my visit this morning, I'm not a fan. The obvious critique is that it's overpriced and pretentious. This is what one expects, so it's not a shocker. Juices are more than $7. My turmeric latte came out to over $7. Tasted like powdered turmeric, which I priced out at $3 for a 67g bottle. Lattes are usually $4 at the most expensive for a small. So that's a hefty markup, to say the least. I suppose the extra cost goes to support the ambiance (which, yes, in the land of expensive bobble stores, is refreshingly spare) and the honor of being sneered at by the staff. Here's the scenario: I order my turmeric latte. The staff member mumbles something that sounds like "would you like mumble or cashew milk." I say, "whatever, whole is fine." The staff member sneers, and then asks me if I'd like *almond* or cashew. Now, I know that vegans sneer at cow milk. I have been vegan. I was probably vegan when this person was not (grumble, grumble). In order to maintain any kind of restrictive diet, one must convince oneself that the substances you're restricting yourself from are bad. Certainly the logic of veganism is motivated by the horrors of cow products. I get that. (Although I'm vegetarian and manage not to sneer at non-veg people. Also if part of your mission as a vegan establishment is to potentially convert your customers into veganism, sneering isn't a great means to that end). But staff at vegan establishments must know that non-vegans are going to come in, and, if you mumble, are not going to be able to guess what you're saying. I wasn't walking in thinking "vegan place!" I was walking in thinking "expensive health food place!" So I asked for whole milk. Mea culpa. Besides, turmeric lattes are a new American health-drink trend that owes to (or perhaps "is a total rip-off of") the traditional Indian beverage haldi doodh. I'll leave it to you to guess what the "doodh" in haldi doodh means. Maybe this wasn't a game of holier-than-thou. Perhaps the staff member was having a bad day or a bad moment. Maybe he/she just instantaneously hated me for non-vegan-related reasons. Maybe he/she just has a general affect that reads as intense disdain but isn't. I don't know, but I am not likely to come back and find out. read more

Took my daughter on College tour in MA and happened to stop by Cocobeet in Wellesley. I had been to their downtown Boston store last year and was not aware they had expanded. I am so happy they are finally open. I love the selection of cold pressed juices. The people are so nice and really helpful. They will let you sample the juices/smoothies before you make the commitment to buying a whole bottle. They are very helpful in making suggestions to try and find the right match for you. I like juices on the sweeter side so Peruvian Sun and Kickstarter have become my new faves. The assortment of other items and the seating makes this a fun place to meet someone and have something healthy to eat. Definitely a fan. read more

I didn't actually realize how much better they were after visiting a number of other businesses with a 'similar' offering. I have had a good share of açaí bowls. I make them at home, and follow EarthyAndy's (The Açaí expert) recipes. And I am very picky about how I like them made. Most restaurants either blend there's with ice or sugary juices and their ingredients aren't wholesome. When I tried Cocobeet's açaí today, it blew my mind. It was not only creamy and fresh and loaded with superfoods, but it had a unique hint of sunflower butter in the base which I have never experienced before. It was delicious. Also there portion size was good and it kept me full. I never leave reviews on places but I've tried many different health food type restaurants and most are overrated and expensive without quality ingredients. All times, this extremely extremely rude staff member with BRIGHT BRIGHT blue hair was continuously rude to the entire staff and even then customers! This is your average heath-food, smoothie, acai bowl, and fresh juice-type place. It is well decorated for a take-out type place, there are a few chairs and tables but nothing too comfortable for sitting and staying. On top of that--all the food is served in take-out containers--and I would say most people coming in take their meals to go. I was a bit disappointed to discover that the smoothies and juices (all between $7-$10) are all pre-bottled and in the fridge. They have a variety of options--my only complaint being they many of them, especially the smoothies, are very sweet (no added sugar just sweetened with dates or other fruits, but still taste very sugary). The menu consists of some vegan toasts (avocado and sweet potato are two of them), about five types of Acai bowls that are very beautiful with bright colors topped with fruit, nuts, granola and coconut flakes; and some oatmeal-bowl type dishes. There are also prepackaged chia puddings, salads, and other packaged food in the fridge. It is definitely not cheap, but I feel like that is expected of this kind of place. I got the avocado toast and it came topped with sunflower seeds and tomatoes. The toast was crunchy and the avocado was piled on top, it was very tasty. Overall I liked it, it is a good place to grab something quick and healthy to go, maybe more of a place to be seen than anything else. But anything healthy in Wellesley--I'll take it! read more

Everything in the store is allegedly about health - flu busters, vitamins, healthy values, organic, vegan, non-GMO. But ask them for nutrition information and they don't have anything for their customers. Go ahead, look on the website, ask a manager, look for calorie counts, sugar counts, anything that actually provides their customer with objective information about what they are consuming and you won't find it. That is just pathetic - if you want your customers to "cleanse", shouldn't you tell them what they are cleansing with? What are you trying to hide Cocobeet? This morning I had a WONDERFUL experience at cocobeet! It was a perfect trip for a post spin breakfast! I had the Lemony Peach Bowl with the Blue Oasis toppings. Delicious would be an understatement. I absolutely loved the date-almond crunch and would actually love to purchase that for some daily home use. This is definitely a once in a while treat because of the prices, but it is truly a delicious treat. read more
