Saw this place open for a few weeks now and finally got to try it. I did a pick up order and it was easy. They got my order ready really quickly, like less than 10 minutes and this was during the start of lunch time. It comes with salad, which I requested they box separately. I didn't know what the salad came with but I know for next time to try it with their poppy vinegarette. On to the main course. I got the sampler option. Which is nice because it let's you try 2-3 different flavors. I got the spicy, coco, and garlic butter. In that exact order is how I would rank them. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. They're pretty regular-sized. The spicy one was basically Cajun and it was delicious. The coco is their "original" or what they're known for and it was good. It comes with a sweet and spicy sauce for dipping. Love to try it at the restaurant as I'm sure it's more crispy. The garlic butter was meh. It was a little bland in terms of salt but the butter and garlic flavor was there. There was too much sauce from this one that covered the rice and I didn't like that. Rice was cooked perfectly too. I'd definitely get the spicy and the coco again. I'd say it's good value and fills you up. Location also has a drive-thru. Can't wait to try their other flavors! read more

Picked up lunch from here and the food was excellent. Shrimp with coconut in the coating accompanied by a good fresh salad. It comes with rice but I had no rice and double salad. Everything here was great! It was definitely the best shrimp we'd ever had, even compared to Hawaii, Mexico, Florida and California! Shocked to find that in Texas. ‍ We weren't super hungry so we ordered the combo shrimp with 3 coconut and 4 butter garlic, with double rice. The rice and the butter garlic shrimp were our favorites and the coconut shrimp was third as it was a little over cooked. Definitely we'll be back to give that another try, though. Today, 3/29, was my first visit to Coco Shrimp Richardson. The boxed containers are cute, nice touch if you want to take home leftovers. The location is good and decorated quite nicely. The customer service is excellent. For almost $12 a box, you would think that you'd get more than 6 pieces of a shrimp. Honestly, it's a rip off. They load you up with rice but I want to enjoy equal parts rice and shrimp. The shrimp doesn't have shell-on which is a bummer since that is the key to flavorful shrimp (and the experience). A small drink is almost $3 w/ free refills. I would recommend trying this place at least once. Hopefully they add more shrimp to the plates before you go! read more
