I'm always nervous about choosing new nail salons & I decided to just go out on a limb & try this one. I really wish I hadn't. I was rushed through the whole process, & I was the only one in there! She was rough with my hands, pulling on my arm & fingers to get my attention. I got acrylics; I've had them before, just not for awhile so I know how they work. My fingers ended up being glued to my nail on the edges, my nail is already coming off the acrylics in some places, & they're dirty underneath. It looks gross. I have to say that I do like this place. I took my "neice" for her birthday-we splurged for pedicures, sitting side by side like queens. I thought the staff here were nicer than most, the polish for me was great; on her, a little splotchy, but maybe cause 12 year old feet are so small?? I live in the neighborhood and have come to Diva Nails a few times. The first few times I went my services were ok. Nothing to write home about, but pricing is relatively cheap. You get what you pay for. I went in on Saturday morning for a pedicure and a shellac manicure. I get pedicures and manicures every 3 weeks usually. My manicurist cut my cuticles so much that three of my fingers started to bleed. She wasn't paying much attention because she was in an intense conversation with another employee. My shellac looks horrible (bubbles, uneven, peeling around the edges), and there was no hand and arm massage at all. My pedicure was ok. My nail on one of my big toes was filed down too much and again - I started to bleed. I asked one of the other employees if a hand massage was still included in the manicure price and she said "yes" that she would do it for me now. She massaged my neck, arms, and hands for five minutes, which was nice. When I went to leave (fingers and big toe still bleeding) I was shocked to see that my total was $57. For what? A pedicure, shellac manicure (I brought my own shellac polish) and a ten minute add-on massage. I didn't get a ten minute add-on massage, I asked for a quick hand and arm massage since it's supposed to be included in a manicure service! My service was two days ago and my shellac has already peeled off two fingers and all of my cuticles look infected. I have been getting manicures and pedicures for over 15 years and have never had an experience like this! Avoid this place! I'm not sure what happened over the last few months, but the people that provided great service are no longer working here! *I'd like to add then when I left I paid the $57 and added a $6 tip, even though I really didn't feel like my service warranted a tip. The man who ran my credit card asked me loudly if I wanted to tip more?! No, I didn't want to tip more, I didn't want to tip at all! I felt like he was trying to embarrass me for tipping so little when in reality he should be embarrassed for running a nail salon with such poor service! read more

I live in Lake City and have gone to this nail salon many times. I thought it was OK, and I got pedicures, manicures, acrylic full sets and fills, and waxes. The wax room seemed very unsanitary like they re-use the same wax and supplies on all of the customers on bikini zones and face. NASTY! I definitely wouldn't reccommend any waxes there. I even got my nails done for my wedding here! I thought it was a great place, until I got cut in the thumb by one of the manicurists the last time I was there. It turned into a severe infection that has been seen by 3 different doctors. I have been on several antibiotics and even had a surgery on my thumb to remove it and it is still in a tremendous amount of pain and is currently being seen by a hand specialist. I have spend hundreds of dollars so far on trying to fix what this dirty place did to me. Clearly, they do not use proper sanitation techniques. I will never go back to this place, and everybody should know how dirty and unsanitary it is. read more

Holly does a wonderful job on my nails. With out Holly this place would get 1 star from me. The owners don't give proper mani pedis. I will wait for Holly because she is that good!! I don't like that the owner gets an attitude with me because I prefer Holly. I can also tell that the owner doesn't like that so many people prefer Holly. I went here on the recommendation of a friend and have been back many times. So far I have tried acrylics, pedi, and now shelac mani and feel they are worth the drive. They now seem to have a consistent crew and the service is across the board careful with attention to detail. I find the environment clean and bright with all the celebrity mags and TV your heart desires. read more

My shellac nails turned out gorgeous after they were so patient and helpful with my indecision about color. You know I used to love diva nails and spa on lakecity. Until I just went today. I came 50 minutes before they closed with 3 of us getting Mani/pedi shellac. They denied me because they close at 6. I come around that time every single time without an appointment and no problem. And they even have stayed open late for me. With small businesses I know business counts. They just lost the $180 we would have paid plus the tip we would have left. Whatever it's their loss. Never had a problem when the owner Jenni worked there :) but she opened another place and now it's just bad service. read more

The woman that did my toes was very rough and spoke very little English but rather did hand motions if she wanted me to move my feet, she seemed like she was in a really bad mood or something, I was not pleased with her demeanor to say the least plus she only did mediocre on my toes, this was my first and last time at Diva. read more

I give 5 stars for Holly! I have been seeing her for years. She is amazing and my shellac always lasts longer than expected. I also love that she is quick, without compromising the quality of work. I've had othersdo my nails before and take hours, only to have them chip a day or two later. She gets me in and out within an hour and my nails are immaculate! Just went here for a simple fill while my car is getting serviced I told them #1 when replacing my broken nail I wanted to NO PLATIC TIPS I always get my nails formed the old school way and they said yes, okay and then got out the plastic tips said we don't do that after they just told me no problem, then when she was supposed to do a fill she just grabbed the clippers and started r cut off my nails told me they were bad and I need a full set!? NOPE I just walked out didn't even say good bye I'm a hairstylist and work in a upscale salon where out bail techs take in consideration your NAIL HEALTH, we refer to these shops as CHOP SHOPS. Because that's all they do, ruin your natural nail. Lesson learned for me don't try and kill two birds with one stone, I'll wait to go back to work to get them fixed read more

I've been going here for about a year and a half now. I shopped around A LOT for a nail place. I worked in Tukwila (now in Seattle proper) and live near Lake City and went everywhere in between once to try them out. Here's why I keep going to Diva Nails: -The prices are excellent -They offer a wide range of services- I get pedicures, full sets of acrylic nails and manicures but they also offer shellac and gels, waxing and more -They're FAST. Time is what I have the least of and no matter how many people are waiting you will probably never wait more than 15 minutes -The owner and one or two nail techs can do 3D and intricate designs and offer patterns and looks outside the norm You can make appointments if you want to but you don't have to. Diva Nails is clean and the owner runs a tight ship. They prefer you to tip in cash and people seem to have a real problem with that. I don't mind and I don't see why Visa should get to keep part of my nail techs tip. read more

After reading the reviews, tried Diva Nails today for the first time for a mani and pedi. I am now a fan! I called and made an appointment, but probably didn't need one. Even though business was steady, nobody had to wait a long time, as they had about six women doing nails on a Friday morning - all the staff was welcoming and friendly. Price is hard to beat - $28 for mani & pedi (pedi included salt scrub which I've paid extra for at other places). I walked out very happy with the way my nails look and enjoyed the leg and hand massages. I will now make this my usual place to go. read more

This is my new place since moving to Seattle from Hawaii. I have had the worst time looking for a good place for mani/pedi and this is it. Cheap, fast and quality. I am pretty sure I had my toes done over a month and a half ago and they are still not chipping at the top. The staff there are friendly, but I don't think they did a very good job. I went there three times. Got a pedicure the first time, pedi + mani the 2nd time, and French mani the 3rd time. Each time the polish was not applied evenly (E.g. some areas thicker than others, some areas not fully covered, etc) and began to peel the next day or two. read more

I have been going to this place since they have opened and when the owner used to be Jenny. I still go there just not as frequent but if I do go I see Holly. Anyway My mom and I stopped to get pedicures today my mom got Holly and I got the new owner. I was far from pleased from the owner. While working on my feet she kept stopping and getting distracted without even saying excuse me or just a sec. she just kept leaving. In addition to separate my toes she used paper towels. Paper towels?! Instead of the things that separate the toes. This place have gone downhill since Jenny have left. In addition I felt like she didn't clean well on my cuticles and didn't even ask if I wanted my toes trimmed. It was just terrible. The only reason why I'm giving this a two star is because of Holly. She is so nice and she does such a great job! I love her and would move to wherever she goes. She did a great job on my moms toes. But today would be the last time I will go to the owner. read more

This is the best nail shop in Seattle and I have been to nearly all of them. i get artificial nails and they always lift on the sides within a week no matter what, but I had my nails done here a month ago and still haven't had a fill and they still haven't lifted, and they still look really good, which is unbelievable for a month out and no fill! They are very nice in this salon, very clean and it is well ventilated which is a plus. Also the lady who did my nails was very gentle and did not nick or file my cuticles, she was very careful and that is appreciated, also their prices are reasonable! It's convenient but experience and quality depends on who u get. I gave 2 stars based on combination of the 2 girls who did my Mani (1 star) and pedi (5 stars). Girl who did my pedi was nice and did good job. Older gal who did my mani acted annoyed that she had to do my nails, didn't even ask me what shape, acted annoyed when I told her what shape, and aggressively/painfully grabbed my fingers pulling them in ways they didn't bend that seemingly made her job easier without any regard as to fact that I was paying customer. Plus with my shellac she filed the tips at the end, in addition to leaving a big lump on one nail and not redoing. read more

I found this nail salon by accident after being cut up by a previous salon. They are fairly new in the Lake City area. Jenny the salon owner is very nice and makes sure everyone is comfortable. She takes pride in keeping her salon clean and sanitary. The place is painted with light colors and the decor is minimal giving the place a relaxing feel. Recently she purchased brand new massaging chairs for pedicures. Unlike other nail salons, this one does not reek of heavy chemicals when you walk through the door. read more
