I love and appreciate this Coco location, as a bubble tea junkie I must say Coco is my favorite boba chain to get my fix ! Keep in mind this Coco is sorta like a stand storefront so there is no seating whatsoever- its grab and go ! Located right by the 7 train and the first stop for the Q17/Q27 buses. Pros: Open super late- midnight on weekdays and 1 AM weekends- I've been there that late on several occasions alongside a few other loyal patrons. The staff is super nice and I've never gotten attitude from them like at idk...Chatime on Roosevelt lol. Delicious Mango Green Tea, Passion Fruit Green Tea, Bubble Gaga and Passion Fruit Mango Slush. This is a newer bubble tea place on the busy intersection of Main Street with the 7 train and buses. I've actually seen another location of this near Baruch College in the city. It's tiny inside with no seats - just a counter for ordering. I would hate to be one of the 4 workers crammed together behind the counter. Good selection of bubble teas and juices. The arrival of Kung Fu Tea has really done the job in highlighting the lack of quality at other bubble tea spots in Manhattan and Queens. As with Coco in midtown Manhattan, there is an artificial taste that comes with the milk tea at Coco. Knowing that the milk is actually powdered really doesn't help the experience. It seems plenty of Yelpers enjoy their milk teas at Coco, but it is hard to go back after going to Kung Fu tea. With the competition concentrated within several blocks of each other in Flushing, Coco might need to step up their game. Otherwise, a 12-month existence would be a tall order. read more

Very busy store since it's located on the corner of Main/Roosevelt and is footsteps away from the train station! There was a huge line when I got here but the workers were all really efficient and I got my order very quickly. I got the 3 Guys drink, which is basically Coco's version of Vivi's 3Q since they're both milk tea with tapioca, pudding, and grass jelly. In my opinion, the one here at Coco was way better. The milk tea had the perfect amount of sweetness without being too artificial tasting. The one at Vivi was just way too bland. I also liked the tapioca here more since they weren't as hard to chew on. The pudding and grass jelly were about the same and added great textures to the drink. Overall, I enjoyed the drink I got here at Coco's and would recommend the 3 Guys drink for those looking to try more unique flavors of bubble tea! read more

Usually I don't write reviews, but a situation at this store just ticked me off! Especially because I'm a frequent customer at this location. I order a medium mango green tea ($4) with tapioca (+0.50cents) simple right? I hand the worker (Her name is Miya) a $5 bill and two quarters right on top of the bill and she hands me $0.50. The change doesn't add up so of course I mention it to her and she says "No, I never received 50 cents from you. Then she has the audacity to bitch about me in front of her coworkers for wanting to scam 50 cents from her. At this point I'm pretty annoyed that she spoke in Chinese because she thought I didn't understand. This is a tiny "bubble tea" shop right in the middle of all the craziness in Flushing. This place is so small that there's barely any room to stand and place an order. The Coco boba chain started in Shanghai and it is a big success there! It's a comparison to coffee in Starbucks over here in the US! Of course, the Coco boba drinks in Shanghai is about only a dollar because of the currency, economic rate. So don't expect the prices to be the same - it's on average 3 bucks for a drink here! Small shop and you can only order up boba tea drinks here - no relax dining while sipping on tea and chewing on some boba! Coco was "A-OK" for me. You can't beat the convenience of its killer location. Hubby and I grabbed boba tea there several times during our recent trip to NYC, when we stayed in Flushing for a couple of nights. It was just easy to make a quick stop before going back to our hotel. I tried their traditional boba milk tea (hot) the first night when it was a little chilly and hubby tried their taro boba milk tea. Both were deep in flavor and boba nice and chewy. Had I based my review on that one try, it would have been a stellar five star or at least a four. Unfortunately, we did go back a few more times and the quality was just not quite as consistent. For example, I had mango green tea with boba (cold) and found the boba to be too hard and not chewy. I did drink the tea, but left a good amount of boba at the bottom of the cup... was not impressed. So for its location though, I still see myself ordering a milk tea on the go when in Flushing. read more

Perfect location in the middle of flushing, this story is easy for everyone to get to. However because of it's convenience it always seems busy. I always get the Two Ladies (bubble tea with pudding). The bubbles are perfectly cooked and aren't too sweet. The pudding is nicely flavored adding a smooth taste to the sweet tea. The hot bubble tea isn't bad either. The hot tea never seems to degrade the quality of the bubbles as you would normally see. I always get my drinks with 30-50% sweet. Okay, so bubble tea is one of my guilty pleasures and CoCo never fails to hit my sweet spot! I love the passion fruit green tea with bubbles. It's a walk-up service store, so don't expect to sit and hang out, but it's a few short blocks from the steps of the Queens Library, where you can sit and sip away! The photo I have featured is the Rose Salt Cream Black Tea with bubbles and it was a satisfying step away from my usual. Hit or miss. I've gotten bubble here for about 6 years now. Probably hundreds of cups of bubbles (really not healthy haha). They use this artificial sweetener and sometimes they leave there bubble in this syrup also so it makes the drink extra sweet. Sometimes, it's perfect but I always get 30% sugar and less ice. I find that their 100% is just ridiculously sweet. It's the most convenient bubble tea place and definitely attracts visitors more since it's right by the subway entrance. I'd go here if I'm in a hurry to get somewhere and happen to have cash. Otherwise I go across the street or down main to Shiny tea. Overall, pretty bad service but decent drinks. I got a regular milk tea with tapioca pearls. The milk tea itself was good. But I found the inside of the tapioca pearls a little too hard in the middle for my taste; I personally prefer pearls that are soft and chewy both on the inside and out. Also, there wasn't as much pearls in my drink as I would've liked. At other bubble tea places, there is usually a pretty solid layer of pearls at the bottom and I can get pearls with pretty much every sip. For the drink I got here, I had to take multiple sips before I got even 1-2 pearls up the straw. Overall, it's a decent bubble tea place located super close to nearby bus stops/the 7 train. read more

Always have mixed feelings about Coco - on one hand, it was one of my favorite brands back in my hometown so it carried lots of good memories; on the other, I really found it hard to enjoy the milk tea here, simply felt like they were probably using different ingredients and thus, the taste was completely different. Opted for the milk tea with red bean and tapioca and it was simply too sweet. I could not feel the "milk" and "red bean" part, instead, it was like sweet water blended with some red bean syrup (and just so you know, they don't even spend time blending the red bean well, so essentially you will be drinking sweet water at first and then eating those red bean sauce at the bottom). Didn't even want to finish the drink, felt like my calories were completely wasted. If you want some decent bubble teas, no need to travel to Flushing - the best bubble tea place is Boba guy in Chinatown, at least they use fresh ingredients and indeed brew the tea! read more

I just love their mango green tea it's the absolute best. It's not too sweet it has a slight I don't want to say bitter after taste but the aftertaste is not sweet. It's sweet then not sweet. Every time I come to Flushing, I am always looking for a new food adventure. Flushing is becoming one of my favorite places to visit. It's like a Chinatown but with a sense of newness. No matter the weather it's always appropriate to have a bubble tea. This place sells a few teas. I specifically recall the "Two Ladies" and "Three Guys." I ordered the regular bubble tea---the milk tea with tapioca pearls---but come to think of it, if I noticed the "Three Guys" before I placed my order, I might have ordered that ;-) Why? Well, take a guess? Because it's a nice combination. It is a milk tea with tapioca pearls, pudding and grass jelly---and intense combination I've never heard of before. ^_^ It was a rainy day when I came here and while wanting to dodge the rain for a bit, I decided why not buy a bubble tea. I had a long day and definitely needed a soft drink. This place, unlike Ten Ren took a bit longer to make their teas. There was only two people in front of me but it took them a bit longer to make my tea and I only ordered the regular milk tea. Some would argue that all bubble tea places are made equal. Being a bubble tea fan myself, I would not. Some places make their bubbles teas with too much milk, sugar, or too watery. This place was suitable to my tastes. Not to sweet. It was just right and it was nice. ^_^ I have never heard of this chain before but they seem to come up with good and interesting bubble teas. I will give the others a try next time I come to Flushing. One of the things I like about this bubble tea place aside from the bubble tea I bought is that they seal the top of their cups and you just poke a straw in to drink it. I find that prevents spillage and I always prefer bubble tea places that seal their cups instead of just placing a lid. I also notice the bubble teas in Flushing taste very different from the ones they make in Chinatown and Brooklyn. I never knew bubble tea can taste different based on their geographical locations. One of the major factors I judge whether or not bubble tea is good is based on how well they make their tapioca. If its soft and chewy, it's good. If it's hard or dry, it's not.
