Overall (4/5*): I am a big fan of Gong Cha (second only to HeyTea). This location is decent. There isn't much variation between the locations I've been throughout Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. Although their honey oolong tea and tapioca tasted better at other locations, the store in Skyview is a great resting spot while shopping. Food (4/5*): Options appear almost the same throughout all Gong Chas. I don't consume dairy and they have a good selection of dairy free teas, fruit teas, and smoothies. - Honey Oolong Tea with tapioca pearls (4/5*): I like my oolong tea a bit stronger with a nuttier flavor. This one tasted slightly diluted and tapioca pearls were stiff in the center and not as addictively chewy compared to Boba I've had at other locations. Service (5/5*): Polite and quick service. Place looked clean. No complaints. Ambiance (5/5*): Less foot traffic in this area compared to the retail stores of Skyview. Gong Cha is one of my favorite bubble tea spots. The employees are friendly and usually really quick and efficient with my drinks even when it's busy. I love coffee milk tea but they don't quite get it right so I avoid getting that at Gong. However, my recently favorite is the Green Tea Milk Tea with white pearls. SO DELISH. I get it with less ice and 50% sugar. 50% sugar is still pretty sweet but I love it! They also provide a stamp card and stamp it for every drink you order. Which it was i cannot believe this is only my first time trying it i been missing out ordered milk tea which is basic but had to go with the OG! Delicious not too sweet but not bitter either. I came by for the new Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea (30% or 50%) and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The staff made it the way they would likely drink it, I could taste all the ingredients for a very nice change. The rich, velvety texture was a nice complement to the well cooked boba. They could have used a little flavor on the end of the cooking process, the brown sugar flavor was solely in the milk. I have never been so upset at a gongcha before. If you know me then you would know I always prefer gongcha over ANY bubble tea place. And I always order from them. But this chain inside the mall is definitely not it !! We ordered one drink to share because we just had a large lunch but still wanted some milk tea. And found a seat to sit around and talk and drink. Couple of minutes pass by we were having a good time wasting a bit because we had nothing to do. Until in the corner of my eye I see a worker staring at me. He has glasses kind of chubby, and wearing a hat. I'm not sure maybe we sat for too long, too long for his liking. It just recently opened a few days ago for a few hours each day. I finally got to try this during my break! Their promotion starts tomorrow but they are doing a special promotion just for mall employees tonight, yay! Keep in mind, this place is under the same management as Gong Cha which is inside the same store. At first, the cashier seemed a little confused with what drink I wanted but she was friendly about it. I have heard people hyping up Gong Cha for their bbtea and finally got the chance to try it with some friends and honestly - it's good but I think it's overhyped. I've tried a handful of bbtea spots like Presotea, The Alley and Chicha, and Gong Cha is more or less the same. We decided to try their Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Royal Milk Tea, Lemon Aiyu with White Pearl, Mango Green Tea and Caramel Milk Tea. Just like most places, you can choose your sugar and ice levels as well as toppings. While they all tasted pretty good, their taste and quality were quite similar to Presotea or The Alley. Overall, it's still a great spot for drinks, with a great creative drink selection with average prices, and is still worth a try, especially for bbtea lovers! read more

Gong Cha is probably my favorite bubble tea for sure. My go to has always been the brown sugar milk tea with pearls, but I also love the yogurt series that they have here. Located inside the mall and with a shared space to other snacks, this Gong Cha is super convenient and definitely a good pick up for shopping in the mall. There are seats inside this space that you can use to enjoy your beverage as well! They offer a stamp card and if you catch them at the right time, you'll get the one that has 50% off your fifth drink which is super unique and no other location offers it. You can still take this stamp card to other locations and continue until you get your free beverage though! The free beverage part is redeemable with all Gong Cha locations although I don't know how long this will stand for with their new membership system that gives you dollar rewards per visit. read more

I had an amazing experience at Gong Cha! The designs on the walls and counters look beautiful. I got the QQ Passionfruit and it was so good! I ordered regular ice and 30% sugar. It was not too sweet and not too bitter for my liking. I personally don't like boba that much but the coconut jelly is so great and tasty! The service there is good, the cashier waited patiently for my order. This place is much more cleaner and professional compared to other bubble tea stores. They even have seating which is nice. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I came with a couple friends and we were about to buy drinks, but our other friend didn't get here yet so we were just sitting and waiting. So I kindly asked the cashier for the WiFi password, however, she was EXTREMELY rude. She didn't say a word at all; all she did was rudely flip a poster around, so as what normal people would think, that the password is on the poster. This location shares the same seating space with a cream puff pastry store. For a afternoon snack on a week day, we purchased a few cream puffs and ordered 3 Gong Cha drinks. One of the drinks is Oreo Chocolate Milk for my 7 year-old son. He was thirsty and his drink was too hot to drink right away. So I asked for a cup of water, tab water. The employee asked me to pay 54 cents for TAB WATER! We were paying customers in a nearly empty store, employees were chatting about vacations. And this huge chain of bubble tea house could not spare a cup of tab water to a kid that actually paid for a $4 chocolate milk. Terrible service. I was shopping with my baby twins when I stopped by this Gong Cha for a tea and a cup of hot water to warm my baby's bottle. They told me they couldn't give me the hot water because "we don't have cups for the hot water". This business only serves drinks! Why would a business that only serves drinks not have any cups for hot water? They serve hot tea for crying out loud. They could have even charged me for the water which I would have been happy to pay. I was appalled at their response and cancelled my $5 drink immediately. The taste of the drink had provided such a refreshing feeling that had felt so refreshed after just one sip. Gong Cha provides a genuine taste to all of the tea that they brew first hand. As an Asian American teen, i'm open to testing out all brands of bubble tea stores. Ranging from brands such as Tea Cha Cha and TBaar, Gong Cha stood out among all others. Instead of receiving powdery taste that all those other brands supply, Gong Cha gives a genuine taste of fresh tea. My friends often complain to me how they don't get their moneys worth in tea. How they are scammed out of their money with powdered flavor, but after introducing them to Gong Cha, there were legit no more problems. It was really satisfying to be able to enjoy actual tea rather than some powdered mixture that has been dug up from the storage. Not only was their drinks good but so was their customer service. Each time I went, I was greeted with a warm smile by the workers, and each time, they made sure that I was able to create the drink that I wanted. My drink, my way. That is the Gong Cha way. read more
