Second visit and still just as impressed! Customer service here is consistently warm and welcoming. We came in to catch the MLB playoffs and were immediately seated at a great bar spot. Shoutout to Zig the bartender, who had the game on with sound in no time--huge win! We lucked out with happy hour and ordered margaritas, fish tacos, and ceviche--all absolutely delicious. Their in-house Hot Boy hot sauce is next-level and really tied everything together. Brian, another server, swung by several times just to chat. Super friendly and made the vibe even better. The restaurant has a super relaxed laid back vibe, the service from our waitor Niko was exceptional, and the food was the most delicious we have had so far on the island. Watching the sunset from our patio deck table was the cherry on top! Was not too impressed by the food. We came here on Christmas Day to get their Christmas special, which was a roast beef dinner with roasted vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. The roast beef was quite tough, and the whole dish wasn't that hot. They also didn't put gravy on the Yorkshire pudding. We did not all get the special, so below is some separate reviews on the other food. The ramen wasn't good really, very bland. The loaded fries were quite limited and unimpressive. The coco loco was quite sour, seemed like the ratios were off. However, the fish here was good. The mahi mahi was perfect, as were the fish tacos, which also had mahi mahi today. The general ambiance is nice, beachy vibe, nice TVs inside, and the server was very friendly and accommodating. read more

Again, every time I visit Maui, I gotta visit coco deck aka the old DUCKINE. Phenomenal food, great service, and the scenery is perfection. We came here for lunch after hearing all the rave reviews about the assassin chef. Sweet location, across from Mala Ocean Tavern with a cute patio and ocean views. The construction noise ruined a bit of the ambiance with the constant jack hammer and drilling, otherwise we had fabulous service and super fun food and drink. Love the funky fries offering, and you can get them loaded (a must). Their 3 house hot sauces are awesome. We tried almost everything - wings, device, poke nachos, birria ramen with marrow, fish and chips, fish tacos, thr french toast dessert and the seasonal pumpkin dessert. We thought the savory could use a little salt (esp the ramen) but really a matter of preference there. Their cocktails and mocktails are delicious (the coco loco and ube lemonade :P). Hands down one of my new favorite spots on Maui! A longtime friend of mine introduced us to this place and WOW. First. The horchata colada was INCREDIBLE. Fresh and just sweet enough. With the touch of horchata and the perfect amount of pina colada, it was truly delicious. 15/10. The food was fresh and delicious and the happy hour from 2-5 was worth every penny, but it didn't cost much! Definitely a great happy hour with delicious options. This place is so lovely. Perfectly situated with a gorgeous harbor views and the most kid friendly atmosphere. They have a little play area for the kids so my husband and I were able to steal a quiet moment on our vacation. Also the food and drinks were SO good and reasonably priced. Absolute gem! Great recommendation from friends! Coco Deck is a laid back bar and restaurant with fantastic food. We were looking for a local place for an early casual dinner and dropped by Coco Deck for Happy Hour. It is in a great location, just across from the ocean. We ended up ordering the Fish Tacos, which were very tasty and the fish was fresh. We also ordered the Poke Doughnut - it was a ring of fried poke, topped with fresh Ahi and drizzled with a spicy mayo and soy glaze - so good! For drinks, we ordered just the Happy Hour drinks which were pretty good, but we should have ordered the Mini Mai Tai shots, which looked amazing. We came for happy hour with two kiddos. We were glad to see the kids menu had more than Mac and cheese and a burger one little ordered the cheese tacos and scarfed them down. The other had fish tacos that also disappeared. Adults shared several things off the happy hour menu and the secret menu-fish taco, sweet potato taco and cheese taco, Mc Fish sandwich, funky fries and Brussels sprout salad. Fish could have been cooked a bit less and there could have been more Brussels in the salad- it was mostly romaine. Overall a good experience. We will be back next time we are on island. read more

I'm so glad Coco Deck was open for our visit. We visited twice because the food is so good and this place has a fun vibe. It's on the corner of Front Street across from Mala. Both times, we ordered the Queso Birria Tacos. The beef was tender, and the tacos were crisped so nicely on the outside. Served with a side of consomme for dipping. These are simple street tacos. We will be down for these on our next visit. We also ordered the stacked ceviche twice. The fish is perfect, with a citrus bite. The dish had some heat to it, but the creamy avocado, pickled red onions, and side of chips helped to tame the fire. The miss for me was the tostada salad. The corn is from a can. It was served with a dollop of guacamole. What saved this salad is that I added Mahi Mahi. It was fresh, tender, and a large piece of fish. I think if the salad had more acid and crunchy textures, it would help. The smash burger is a double cheeseburger that can be upgraded to a triple or quad. The side of funky fries are various shaped fries. We also had the crispy poke donut. This was such a unique way of serving poke it was like eating a large crunchy sushi roll. The onion and sauce made this perfect. Service was on point during both visits and can't wait for our trip next year. Mahalo. read more

Came here for dinner for our first night this trip. We're big Mala fans, so we were excited to try the sister restaurant! Maitre D was super sweet and sat us for our reservation immediately. Drinks were tasty and smash burger was AMAZING. Don't snooze on the smash burger. I will say, we were pretty disappointed in our service. Like I said, Maitre D was great, but our server was not interested in us at all. As soon as we ordered, we were blatantly ignored. She walked past us a good 3 times before Maitre D checked on us once, and that was about it. We had to flag our server down to order another drink, and then waited a good 20-30 minutes after we finished eating to get the check. Again, she walked past us at least 3 times before we had to ask for the check. We even made eye contact multiple times and she never came over!! When we first arrived, restaurant was hopping. But by the time we finished our food, at least half the restaurant was empty. (We also noticed that she kept checking on surrounding tables and chatting them up like crazy, but I guess something was wrong with us?) Idk, maybe I'm being too harsh, but we felt very outcast. Maybe it was just the one server? Not sure. Food and drinks were a hit, but I'm not sure we will be back for dinner. read more

Wanted to check this place out and reviews seemed pretty good. First red flag should have been all the empty tables at dinner hour. We were seated and ordered a mai tai and margarita, both drinks were good. Finding the menu very limited we ordered Ceasar salad, fish tacos and big deck bowl. Salad was average, fish tacos were flavorless. The big deck bowl with Ahi seemed like a mixture of whatever they had left in the kitchen, the ahi poke did not taste super fresh. We did order a second round of drinks and the margarita was undrinkable, a completely different drink from the first, no consistency at all. The bill came with an added service charge which I guess we should have seen on the menu fine print! Made for one of our priciest and most disappointing meal of the week. I would advise to try someplace else. read more
