Such a good time. Staff was great. Drinks was good. Overall a fun time for adults with great arcade games. Plenty of arcade games and I like the indoor and outdoor

Pretty cute vibe and friendly staff. Delicious and reasonably priced cocktails. It gives more of a club vibe than arcade bar. LOVED the music as well (I'm into EDM - mostly various house music genres and techno and the nights I went had a lot of this).

Cool little video game arcade and pinball spot that serves alcohol, why not? Place isn't luxurious or nothing fancy but this place reminds me of Melrose in California with their cool graffiti art design but this place doesn't really have much room or seated areas. Parking is horrible here so check out this place on the weekdays or non peak hours.

why is hi score happy hour gone smh.... got it 2 weeks ago.... fly high Anyways Cobra is still fun, plenty of diverse games to play (I still miss Terminator but love DDR and ninja turtles) and the workers were nice and gave us extra tokens when we ran out. good music after 9pm depending on who is DJ-ing (DJ Javin you have my full support)

An absolute neat bar to go to. We stumbled upon it while walking around downtown and I'm glad we did. The staff wasn't pushy and we were able to enjoy games (which they have some fun ones that operate well). The music and overall vibes were good. If you're looking for a unique place to have a few drinks and play some games rather than a regular bar than I recommend taking a visit to here!

Cool spot to come early and start a night out. Hang out, play retro video games, party shot specials. We got there early enough on a a Friday before the crowd came in so it was spacious, cool and chill. First time I've been there. I usually pass by at some point in the night and the crowd is crazy, line wraps around the building, so never stopped by. I'd come back.

Ask the Community - Cobra Arcade Bar

I have a bunch of tokens from the Tucson location. Am I able to use them here at the Phoenix location?

I don't see why not. You should call ahead and ask them that way you don't take a bunch of tokens and have to carry them around.

    Does this place have food?

No they don't. However you'll see food trucks near by and some other bars next door and on the block that serves fantastic food!

Is it pretty easy to socialize and meet people? What is the age range?

Not really, this place is constantly packed like a sardine can. Loud, nightclub style. Age range is 21-25ish.

    21+ or 18+?

    21 +

Is this place still open? I heard it was closing down.

As of 7/19 they are still open have not heard they are closing

If we were to come out on a Saturday afternoon to check out all your vintage games are we able to bring our 10 yr old son? We'd love to show him the games we liked as kids!?

I'm pretty sure you can as long as your son stays with you as they so sell alcohol there. My friend brought her kids BEFORE 6p. They also have events where they bring the video games outside. Check their facebook page for all events!

I'm new to the Tempe/Phoenix area. Is this place good for Adult birthdays? Do I need to make a reservation?

Hi Erin! Our spot was made for adult birthdays! We don't take reservations, it's first come first serve. We have an area with tables to make a home base for your group.…

How much does it cost to rent for birthday party/private event, before 4pm (opening hours)?

Hi Sam, Thank you for your interest in Cobra Arcade Bar. The minimum spend requirement to host an event prior to normal operating hours is $750 in drink and game play before tax and gratuity. Our event team is available to assist you with further…

Is the token machine cash only?

    Yes

What's the name of the taco truck you guys have outside? Do they have their own location? Those tacos were bomb!

The taco stand outside is Baja Roots. They don't have their own location but they are at Cobra several days a week every week. You can follow them on Instagram @bajarootsaz we LOVE them!

Is there a cover on the weekends?

Nope! Usually a long line, but it can move quick! Also, you have to purchase game tokens to play any of the games, but they have token machines 💁🏽

Conveniently located right off Grand Ave (US 60) in a little strip mall right in the heart of Surprise. Tons of ample parking for you and some of your closest friends! We were greeted immediately when we walked in. Contrary to what a few of the other reviews have said, you do ** NOT ** need to bring quarters with you. Obviously, you can. But it's not necessary. The nice gentleman running the place today gladly took our $20 bill and give us a few $5 bills back. From there, you can go to their change machine in the back, chuck in your $1 bills or $5 bills and it'll spit out quarters at you. Once you've got your pockets full of quarters, head over to one of the many machines and be prepared to be entertained! It's $1 per game. I know, but this ain't 1984 anymore so a dollar per game checks out. We blew through our $20 in a hair over an hour. It is incredibly clean inside! The machines functioned with no issues at all and I can't stress enough about how clean the machines (and everything) was here at Player 1! If you want to partake in some soda or alcohol, they can serve you up some refreshments while you've got your hands full with a pinball machine. Super fun way to spend a hot summertime afternoon here in Arizona. We will DEFINITELY be back. Such a cool place. Can't recall the last time I saw this many pinball machines lined up in a row. They had childhood games like Street Fighter, Galaga and Elvira. Check the murals in all three bathrooms (different themes). My favorite was the Take on Me mural, but Bowie, Prince and Ghostbusters are cool too. They had Beastie Boys. It's not loud, but not crowded on Sunday. They have a pinball league. The premise is similar to an escape room, but there are several themed, interactive rooms that you try to progress through. Each room has a 3 minute time limit and if you pass the first challenge, a door opens to another room. Each themed room has 3 challenges total. We all had a lot of fun working together as a team. The rooms are hard to complete (at least for us lol) and some of the rooms required more physical ability. There are employees there to help you as requested, which helps if you get stuck on what you're supposed to do. The rooms are well put together, theme-wise, which adds to the experience of the challenges. There were a lot of people there, which meant a long waiting time. I feel as though we did more waiting than we did inside the rooms. Although, it didn't help that several rooms broke or weren't functioning correctly throughout the night. There's also a bar in the back where you can grab drinks and food, if you so choose. I would recommend waiting until after the experience since you have a 2 hour time limit. Overall, Bam Kazam is a unique activity to get a group of friends or family together for a night of fun and challenges! I would definitely go back again, but perhaps on a weekday or a time that would be less busy.

I had been lied to on the phone, and when I met the person I spoke to on the phone, she had a very dismissive attitude and lied to me saying that she had informed me that they wouldn't open till later. I believe she was only doing this to save herself as her boss was there. What's worse is that the website did not post the operating hours of opening at 5 PM, and neither did the Apple Maps/Google Maps operating hours of the business. It said that it opened at 10 AM everywhere, including on the phone. I wish I could've experienced the park because the coasters actually looks very enjoyable, but with the horrible customer service that I received, I have no intention of returning.
