My son and I spent a "Daddy/Son" day together, which we don't get to do very often. He's one of twins (10 right now), and his brother tends to be more vocal and drives things a little more. So when it's His Day, I make sure that he gets input on everything going on. Our day was spent at the coast and on our way back, we decided that what we wanted was pizza. We didn't want a chain at all, so we stopped and used Yelp to try and find something new and different. I had remembered there being a pizza place in Newport that was pretty good, but when we followed directions to the purported location of what I thought was the place (I know, this was super accurate information), we found a dirt lot. We did another search and came upon Cobblestone Pizza as a good possible place. We followed the directions...and came to an empty parking lot and a closed store called "Rizza Pizza." At this point, we were determined to find an open pizza place. On the way into town, I saw a sign for various Toledo locations and Cobblestone was not only on the sign, but had an arrow pointing in a different way than my map showed me. So we reset our nav system and tried again. At this point, we found Cobblestone, right on the river, with a nice big parking lot. (Something new I'll note, as we now own a plug-in electric vehicle; there are multiple charging stations in Toledo, but one directly across the street from Cobblestone Pizza, that didn't appear yet on any of my EV Station Maps!) I mentioned the trouble we had finding the location, and the man behind the counter told me that the Rizza Pizza location was Cobblestone's OLD locale. That makes sense! As it was a Tuesday, Rizza isn't open on that day, so all that was cleared up. We went in and found what looked like a traditional small-town, locally owned pizzeria. There was a small arcade area, two rooms, and lots of tables. We ordered and went with a large stuffed crust pizza with pepperoni and pineapple, as well as half a dozen garlic rolls. Sodas were from a machine, with free refills. We ordered and sat down to wait. TV was showing sports at the time, so there's something to look at while you wait, if you don't to take in the gorgeous river view out of the huge front windows. We were warned there would be a wait, due to a large influx of orders, but that was fine. We had plenty of soda and I was spending time with my son. We got the garlic rolls fairly quickly and devoured them; balls of pizza dough, rolled in garlic oil and covered in parmesan cheese...very good and they went fast. When our pizza arrived, we went to town. It was huge! There was plenty of toppings, the cheese was bountiful and stretchy, and one of my favorite things was that the stuffed crust did not appear to be just cheese sticks rolled in the crust; it looked like actual cheese was curled around the rim. That was great, because it wasn't dense and thick, but very cheesy and soft. We ate a little over half the pizza there, with some to take home. It was great! It was good heated up later, too! I saw reviews for long wait times; that may be so, but I'd rather have made to order pizza that takes a bit than something pre-made or warmed up. They have GF crust as an option, and my partner is hopeful that she may be able to safely eat here. We'll check out some time, but for this trip, we had a great experience and a great pizza! read more

I'm a diabetic and they were busy one night and got my order wrong so I called back and they said they were fixing to close and could not replace my food that night and to keep it in the refrigerator to bring back the next day which I never did because like I said I'm a diabetic I had to eat . Don't go here! 1st, if you look them up online, there # is mixed up with another (much better) pizza place in Toledo. I did finally get the right place. I kept asking where they were so I knew I had the right place the person on the phone had to ask another worker where they were??? So I was finally able to order, its was over an hour wait which was ok I guess. While I was there picking up, I grabbed a menu on there counter to hang on my fridge to save the confusion next time I tried them again, called the # on the menu, there were 2 different numbers on that menu BTW. I went in to pick up and they didn't have my order, they called the Newport store, which I didn't. even know there was one. They had my order, well Im not driving to Newport for some pasta. I ordered the gluten free pizza. It was not gluten free. My butt hurts because I've been on the toilet all night. I bet they used the same darn pizza cutter on my pizza that they use on the other ones, and I got cross contaminated because some idiot doesn't understand the idea of "gluten free". We rolled into Otter Rock on a Sunday evening to embark on a week of Oregon Coast rest and relaxation. And, people, we rolled in HUNGRY. It was late(ish) and so we settled on ordering some pizza to bring back to our chalet. Having already done our Yelp research, we called the pizza joint Yelpers had recommended only to find they were in the process of closing for the evening (and thus hadn't the time to make our pizza). Called our back-up place--closed. So, my husband grabbed his phone and searched Yelp for another option when we came across Cobblestone Pizza. 3 1/2 stars? That'll work--we've got children to feed! Called them to find them open (yes!)--a bit of drive from where we were, but at this point, we were just happy to find a place open and willing to feed us. We ordered a pepperoni for the kids, which was solid. I had a bite or two and found the pepperoni had a nice spice to it. For the four adults, we ordered a veggie pizza, which was nothing short of superb. It had feta, sundried tomato, green peppers, just the right amount of olives (I find too many and the flavor overwhelms the other veggies), mushrooms, spinach, and the piece de resistance: fresh tomatoes added AFTER cooking (just the way I like it!). The sort of pizza so piled in deliciousness, it requires a fork. Fanfriggintastic. The service was lovely both on the phone and during the pick-up. The ambiance is cute and casual. A bit out of the way for travelers, perhaps--but the pizza is definitely worth the drive! read more

During the COVID shutdown, a lot of places have stayed open out of a true commitment to feeding their communities, and have gone above and beyond to ensure the health and safety if their patrons. This is NOT one of those places. They are openly and blatantly disregarding the CDC recommendation to wear masks, and I did not see hand sanitizer anywhere! They looked at me like vermin for wearing my mask, and I was attacked by the owner on facebook for providing feedback about this issue. Ok.... This place is a dank place to get some pizza, salads, pasta or sandwiches. In a dead zone of options these guys don't slack on that being the case. The pizza is great. The salads are solid and the service is exceptional. My buddy that lives here says he's never been disappointed by anything he's had. If you happen to find yourself in Toledo, give this place a try. Usually takes 45- 1 hour but that's what you get with a good place. I will advise against the garlic knots tho. They are usually not great. But that's the only thing I could really fault. read more

Edit: The quality of the pizza has degraded significantly since my first visit. They seem to be using fewer and lower quality ingredients. The reduction in quality of the cheese was especially noticeable. I would recommend going elsewhere. ---------- Cobblestone has excellent pizza! The dough and toppings are always fresh and the service is fast and friendly. They are hands-down the best pizza restaurant in Toledo, and one of my all-time favorites. Prices are a little higher than I'd like, but the quality of the food is definitely better than they charge you. The restaurant has a comfortable indoor seating area as well as outdoor seating (umbrellas provided). In addition to pizza, they offer amazing salads, calzones, grinders, and more. The Pizza and Calzones are great, the Salads are huge, the Garlic Knots are super tasty. Also I might add that the Grinder Sandwiches are really yummy. So while the food is a little on the overpriced side it's all delicious. So you are probably wondering why the 2 star rating... The food is all they have going for them. The Toledo location has a group of people that work there in the building that pretty much want a job but don't really want to wait on anyone. If you go in 2 hours before close on a Friday night they treat you like you walked in 5 minutes to closing time. If you call in you flat out get left on hold and sometimes with the intention of never picking it up. How do I know that info? Because when I was in there almost a year ago waiting on an order of 3 sandwiches that o was very rudely told were going to take 45 minutes to make, even though I was literally the ONLY CUSTOMER, the phone rang. Mind you it was an hour before close one of the 2 girls that were more worried about closing for the night than doing their jobs picked it up and put the customer on hold. Then told the other girl not to get it, said that if they ignored the customer maybe they would t call back. Mind you there were no other orders besides the 3 sandwiches that apparently take 45 minutes to make. This is only one instance. The owners really need to step in. This is a small town, just because there are not a lot of places to eat around here doesn't mean that you won't lose business. My message to the owners of the Toledo Cobblestone is that you have a great product to sell but you have staff that is pushing your customers away. I might add that all of the delivery drivers I have encounter are very sweet and pleasant, I don't there are issues there. Your cooks know how to make a great product but NOT in a timely manner, they need a bit more training in that department. The younger girls you have running your counter, the ones that are the "face" of your company are not doing you any favors. I would be curious as to how much business you have lost in the last year. I am a bit worried as when I went in on Friday night 2 weeks ago at 8pm I was, again, the only customer in there and the phone only rang with one order the whole time I was there, which again, was almost an hour for 2 sandwiches and one small pizza. So almost a year later and I got identical service. I really hope y'all can get it together, you have great food but I'm not sure I can come back again for a super long wait and super crappy customer service. Update: I have given Cobblestone one of their stars back because the service I received tonight was phenomenal. Nothing like my last couple visits. Its a good thing that this twelve pound, 28" pizza is offered as a two person challenge because even with extra help, this monstrous pie has never been defeated. When members of The Big Eaters Club arrived to take this bad boy down, everyone watching was hopeful for our success and cheered us on every step of the way. We chose the four veggie topping option and were not disappointed by either the amount or quality of the ingredients. With the clock ticking on the 1 hour time limit, we dug in. This pizza was hot, fresh, and as delicious as it was large. If you drive to fast down the Highway 20 business loop, you might miss the small and unassuming building that houses some of the best pizza we have ever had. The family run operation was obviously a labor of love. I don't know what was going on at the Toledo Cobblestone today. Slow, slow, slow. We ordered and sat down at 1220. The two slices of pizza we ordered didn't hit the table till 1245. Mentioned that they seemed a bit slow today, no reaction. Lunch time, yes, but there was only two people in front of us. The guys that ordered in front of us were still waiting for their pizza when we left at 1pm. Also one of the workers mom was there with the grandchild. The kid was running all over the place uncontrolled and was in & out of the kitchen area several times. Guess Kandy has to be there for this location to be run professionally. So my husband was kinda eerie ordering pizza from a new place because we like our pizza not to be greasy. We decided to order sandwiches and pasta! For feeding a family of 5 it was priced fair for the amount of food we received. Meatball sub kinda fell apart but what food doesn't if its good! BBQ sub was good tasting just seemed like more bread than anything else. My husband liked the calzone....lots of meat and the sauce was good! (I am a vegetarian and have not eaten red meat in 30 YEARS. I ordered this pizza with mushrooms and olives. It came and we started eating it. I noticed that the mushrooms were in small pieces, a little smaller than usual. Then after I swallowed I asked my daughter if she thought it was funny tasting. Then she said.."don't eat it, it's beef!" I called and told them what was on our vegetarian pizza and they said they would send another one. Already too late unless I wanted to vomit the bite I ate. Then they said they wanted the beef pizza back and I had already tossed it, but I dug it out of the trash and gave the whole thing back. When they brought another one back it had a LOT less toppings. I'm thinking they were trying to save the money from the one THEY wasted. They I ordered another night hoping they would make it right. The bottom was COMPLETELY burned and black! We wanted a replacement because we were really hungry waiting for over 1 1/2 hours. They brought a replacement. THEN (our town has 3,000 people and 2 restaurants) we called a third time and they were still open for another 70 minutes, but no one would answer the phone. We checked the hours and they should have been answering. We called for over an hour and meanwhile the phone was busy and not answered...back and forth. I know they wanted to go home on a Sunday, but that is no way to run a business. They would have great pizza if they would have some responsible people who work there! I'm going to go elsewhere. Too bad because they would CLEAN UP if those kids would care about this place for five minutes. With out of town company and no one wanting to cook, the Combo was the perfect addition to our family evening. The toppings are plentiful and the sauce savory. Cobblestone has amazing pizza always has from the beginning! I'm a local and am glad to have a great pizza restaurant in town. They have more than just pizza they have wings, pasta and salads large enough for a family itself! Garlic knots speak for themselves. We ordered a pick up pizza the other night though and I was disappointed with how much grease it had. The bottom was covered so badly that the pizza had wilted and when I went to get my slice even using a fork my pizza shifted and I lost most of my toppings onto the floor. Yes I am aware pizza is greasy but nothing like this before. Yes I'll order from here again but honestly I was disappointed in the pizza we had the other night. read more

Cobblestone is a great addition to Toledo. There's been a lack of a good pizza place for a while. I really like their chicken and garlic combos and some of their mostly meat combos. Good, friendly service, nice atmosphere. I do agree that their take-out pizzas tend to soak through the box, but you could fix that with a plastic grocery bag on the car seat. read more

We are first time travelers in Oregon and have been using Yelp to find places to eat along the way. After a long day of exploring Newport, we decided it would be nice to order pizza for delivery to enjoy in the comfort of our lovely hotel on the beach. We chose to order from Cobblestone Pizza and are glad we did! The customer service was very pleasant, from the girl who took our order over the phone to the girl who delivered our pizza. We ordered a pizza that was 1/2 Hawaiian and 1/2 vegetarian. Wow! It was loaded with toppings! The vege side had artichokes, spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers and more! They had charged me for my food and so I drove to their location which is down the street from where I live. My food was sitting there still, with no one delivering it to me. I got no excuse as to why it was still not delivered. I asked why they refuse to answer their phone with no excuse. Took my food and went home. We got zero dressing for our pizza. Cobblestone Pizza in my opinion is the BEST pizza around! Its the only pizza my husband and I will eat. The garlic rolls are AWESOME!!! The atmosphere is very friendly and extremely clean. Stumbled upon this place from an ad in the newspaper, offering up free garlic balls. Garlic balls? My husband and I know a thing or two about garlic balls ;) We didn't think there was any place that could compare with our hometown favorite from back in the day. Sadly, Toledo, Oregon is quite a ways from where we live. As I frequently say to my husband, "JUST CALL THE PLACE AND ASK!" he did so, and alas they would deliver all the way to our place for only $6. Heck yes I'll pay that, I just got home, I don't want to go driving 10+ miles to some unknown pizza place!!! Oh, I forgot to say I've never been in the place. BUT! The pizza is Divine! It is a tad on the spicy side, so order a little less pepperoni if it's for the kids; but for the adults YUM! This pizza was "eat the crust" good! "But what about their Balls?" you ask? Oh yes, they were yummy... at least as good as our favorites back home. This isn't Domino's, Pizza Hut, or Papa Murphy's. This Pizza is grown and full bodied!
